STEAKBURGER and hand-dipped MILKSHAKES. Could it sound any better? For all of you having the fast food fetish out there, here comes the place that would melt down you heart, Steak ‘n Shake!
South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa
After a night in the Sin City where we’d stayed quite close to the Las Vegas Strip, we switched things up a bit and went for a more laid-back and affordable AirBnB ($55 credit here!) just 5 miles to the south. Surprisingly, our AirBnB place just minutes walk away to South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa where where more fun is at and where good food is served so h%^& yeah*!
Kevin had visited this casino 7 years back and he’s so obsessed about the most delicious steak he’s had in a life-time so we headed there especially for that, actually. Guess what, Primarily Prime Rib Restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, exactly the only 2 days we had left in Las Vegas we’re like #omg are you serious?!
Walking around a bit and here we go, another kind of ‘Steak’. That somehow worked out quite well, Steak ‘n Shake.
** I was surprised how gigantic this South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is. The biggest one I have seen in Las Vegas so far. Bigger than all the ones on the Strip and not as noisy/chaotic also. Check it out if can ever drag yourself out of all the tourist traps in the city!
Steak ‘n Shake
Steak ‘n Shake was founded in February 1934 with the concept of the country’s best, freshest, and tastiest burgers and shakes.
They don’t lie about that. One of the most delicious meals we had in Las Vegas! Though, honestly, all the food we had there was just so good and we really couldn’t complain. Also, I would consider this another Las Vegas Cheap Eats, you will see!
It’s more like a fast-food chain but it’s not just order, grab your food, eat and put away your own tray kind of place. It’s more like a casual restaurant… The classic American style and I literally love the vibe.
Steak ‘n Shake, of course, offers steakburgers and shake plus a few more things the junk food lovers would never say no to. Chili, hot dogs, sandwiches, fries, root beer float and ice-cream sundaes for dessert.
Steak ‘n Shake Burgers
White truffle Prime Steakburger ($9.95) A juicy patty with button mushrooms, Swiss Cheese, caramelized onions, decadent truffle aioli on a toasted brioche bun.
Sounds good huh? It tastes better than it sounds. I’m a mushroom person in general so combine that with the thick juicy meat I love, that just can’t go wrong.
Jalapeño crunch Steakburger ($7.45) Double steakburger with pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, fresh salsa, jalapeños, and fried onions.
We got this one, especially for the spiciness. Look at the jalapeños topped the heat with some spicy pepper jack cheese. Honestly, the one we got looks nothing like on the menu. Though, it’s quite good and we loved that hint of the spiciness we had been craving.
The creamy coleslaw added on ($1.75) Oh my, are we high or it’s just that good? I love coleslaw like a lot in general and this one hit the spot for sure. Kevin has always been making me some every now and then but sorry! This one just wins my heart.
‘Wow, how come I had never thought of this? They put a bit of horseradish to spice the coleslaw up a bit Wow, that’s really good!’ Says my coleslaw man.
Now the secret is out. Get back to the kitchen where you belong! #jk
Give your fries some flavors!
The fries came in such a teeny tiny shape. Smaller than what we usually eat at other fast food chains so yeah, a bit crisper somehow I guess. Big plus if you love it more flavorful than just a pint of salt. Add cajun or parmesan cheese ‘n herb (¢75) will change the fries eating experience at Steak ‘n Shake quite a bit.
Don’t tell me you’re just going to go with boring pops when you dine at Steak ‘n Shake!
American milkshake is way to go baby!
Seriously, don’t let the fuzziness alure you. Well, go for it if you’d like. We’re all about that smoothly creaminess of the hand-scooped, real milk milkshakes! Steak ‘n Shake made the old-fashioned way #yum!
We got the Very Berry Strawberry Milkshake ($5.45) and The Oreo cookie ‘n cream ($5.45). The thickness that sometimes giving you a hard time sucking it out of a cup, that’s probably a charm of it. I love this much more than the European style almost-like-you-are-drinking-milk milkshakes. Also, the fact that they don’t make it so sweet to hurt your throat, Big plus! Much love! <3

We Love our Steak ‘n Shake
We were still disappointed somewhat that Primarily Prime Rib Restaurant was closed. Though, Steak ‘n Shake cheered us up like a lot a lot! It was super duper good. I became much more of a fast-food junkie after living in the US for quite some time. This is fast food heaven for me for sure.
Totally a fun way to explore Las Vegas. Get out of the Las Vegas Strip and visit a less busy casino spot for a bit. All the food here looks good and seems to be a bit more reasonably priced. Next time, I so hope we will make it for the Primarily Prime Rib Restaurant, the best steak Kev’s ever experienced in his life. Me wanttttt!
Anyways, it doesn’t have to be in Las Vegas to try this delicious steakburger chain, Steak ‘n Shake. They got a good amount of locations around primarily in the Midwestern United States with also in the South, Mid-Atlantic and Western United States, Europe, and the Middle East..
If you come across one, please have the Oreo milkshake for me!
