New Chef Sebastian Reischer
Fireplace Grill restaurant is the Western cuisine restaurant at InterContinental Bangkok Hotel that has been opened for over 50 years. The restaurant recently welcomes the new chef, Chef Sebastian Reischer who graduated in Culinary Arts and Hotel Management from Australia and has worked in England, Singapore, and Thailand. I am pleased to be invited to try the new menu which will be launched at this Fireplace Grill restaurant created by Chef Sebastian.

This event is exclusively for invited guests only and organized in the private dining room named Veuve Clicquot. This private dining room is designed in world famous champagne, Veuve Clicquot theme and it can accommodate up to 12 people. I would say that this place is just perfect for a special and private event like this.
There are two types of bread served here. The first one is the common soft, moist and gooey and the other one is whole grain. They are perfectly served with quality butter, very delicious.
'Asparagus Soup served with Fried Asparagus Stick and Cream Sauce'
Chosen quality asparagus is well-cooked and goes perfectly well with this sauce cream concentrate. Recommended!
'Beef Tatar with Smoked Salmon Crème and Caviar'
Quality imported beef is well-cut into the right size for tatar. The tenderness and sweetness of this imported beef goes well with the creamy salmon cream cheese and caviar, plus the crispy onion and the crispy bread at the bottom. I would say it is a good combination of everything and the taste is very unique. Recommened!
'Pan fried scallop with cauliflower espuma and chorizo'
Huge scallops are well cooked and they are very juicy. Chef only seasons them lightly to keep their own taste and aroma. And Chorizo sausage is tasteful.
'Braised Pork Belly with Scallop, Apple Mustard and Chicharron'
After the quality thick pork belly is braised for 48 hours, the pork belly is tender and chewy. The apple mustard only strengthen the richness of pork belly's original taste and aroma. And it goes very well with huge scallop and tasty chicharronì.
'Challan Duck with Confit Duck Cigar, Chick pea puree and Crispy skin'
Thick Challan Duck breasts are very well-cooked, they are very juicy. Confit duck concentrate cigar is very tasty with creamy chick pea puree. In addition, the aroma of crispy skin is so good and it taste so well. Recommended!
'Coffee Ice Cream & Banana Cheese Cake'
Coffee concentrate ice cream served with banana chesse cake, right softness of the banana cheese cake with not too sugary taste- very good.

'Chocolate Covered Vanilla Ice Cream'
Vanilla Ice Cream coated with chocolate and white chocolate, very creamy and refreshing cold.

All in all, the private dining room, Veuve Clicquot is well-designed and the ambiance is perfect for a special event like this with a high class service. Moreover, the new chef - Chef Sebastian Reischer is very friendly and very talented. The new menu that has been presented today are all amazing. The quality ingredients are well-selected and you will be amazed once they are put on the table. His great culinary skill shows on the richness of taste he created on each dish. I am pretty sure that this new menu and the new chef will attract a lot more people to come and visit this Fireplace Grill restaurant which is known as one of the best restaurant in Thailand already.
