Hello everyone in README, today I have another luxurious but very cheap hotel to recommend.

At the beginning of the month, Tee Dai was invited to stay at a hotel called PLAYHAUS, located in the middle of Thonglor Soi.

This hotel has only been open for 2 months, but it already has many special and interesting features.

Including the Behind the Scene bar, a bar located on the ground floor of the hotel, is also a great place to come and have a drink, relax, and party.

Let's take a look at what this hotel has to offer.

Let's talk about the location of the hotel first. Honestly, the location is very easy to find.

The hotel is located in Thonglor Soi, opposite the Thonglor Pet Hospital.

It is a small alley located between Thonglor Soi 9 and Thonglor Soi 11.

Turn in from Thonglor Road or Sukhumvit 55. It's not hard to find.

Or if you are traveling by BTS, get off at Thong Lo station and walk another 800 meters.

Here is the map by Google Map http://goo.gl/rNBTbx

We've arrived at the hotel. We're a bit late, so we're planning to have a few drinks at the bar later. Cheers! ... But first, let's get some work done.

I'd like to ask my friends who have seen the review before if they can see the concept of the hotel's decoration from the front of the hotel. Hehe.

As soon as you enter, you will be greeted by a stunning Lobby with a beautiful backdrop like this.

As expected, the place is decorated like a theater. There are curtains, beautiful backdrops, and various props. It's quite fancy and cute.

Looking inside, it is the Behind The Scene Bar. Guests who come to stay will receive a Welcome Drink here.

Or in the late evening, people come to sit and drink, relax, and there are a lot of outside customers using the service.

"Hold on, Big T needs to take his bag upstairs first. Then I'll show you the bar again."

The other part of the Lobby is beautifully and luxuriously decorated. The price will make your friends gasp. I will reveal the price at the end of the review.

The charm of the rooms here is like this. The hotel has 5 floors, each floor is divided into a theme and decorated according to the famous literature of many nationalities (when I first heard it...oh, what's the theme?), which is divided into floors like this.

Floor 2 Romeo & Juliet

Floor 3 Marry Poppins

Floor 4 Aladdin Aladdin and the magic lamp, something like that.

That's right, it's the 5th reign or 4แผ่นดิน.

Here, customers can choose the theme of the room they want to stay in. Just let the staff know. It also depends on the availability of the room. Like the day I went to review, the rooms were all full. There were only 2 rooms left: Romeo & Juliet and Marry Poppins, so I could only take pictures of those 2 rooms. Sad... If you want to see the other rooms, you can check out the Gallery on the hotel's website.

Alright, ready? The staff member has been carrying the bag for so long that they're tired. Let's go up and see the room.

The walkway is also very cute.

The building has an elevator. The interior walls of the elevator are decorated with luxurious leather-like scales.

We didn't stay in this room, but we came up to take some photos. It's a Marry Poppins theme. Even Big Tee can't remember the whole story.

I read this when I was a child. It sounds like the story of a kind fairy who disguised herself as a nanny and used magic to help.

This should bring happiness to the children.

The room itself is medium-sized, with an area of 17 square meters. The decoration makes it look spacious and comfortable.

The room comes with either a Queen Size or King Size Bed, with prices only slightly different. Additionally, there is an LCD TV and a sofa for relaxation.

The bed comes with a Front pillow and a Back pillow, guaranteeing a comfortable night's sleep.

The hotel has chosen and ordered both the pillows and the beds themselves.

The room comes with two complimentary bottles of drinking water daily, a beautiful phone that complements the room's theme, and a box of tissues.

The other side is the bathroom. The bathroom mirror is decorated to match the theme as well.

It also comes with a Rain Shower, a toilet, and a bidet.

The walls are made of clear glass, so if you're staying with multiple people and are worried about being too close for comfort with your roommates, you can pull down the curtains for some privacy. They're pretty good at blocking out the view.

That's all for the photos of the Marry Poppins themed room. Now, Big Tee will take you to see the Romeo & Juliet room.

Along the walkway in front of the room, there is also a sitting area to relax. The decoration is beautiful, following the concept of the hotel.

Let's continue to take a look at the Romeo&Juliet-themed room where we will be staying tonight.

The decoration is beautiful and magnificent, not inferior to other themes. The furniture will be similar, changing only according to the theme of the decoration.

The queen-size bed is big enough for two people and a small dog. Most importantly, the bed is really soft.

The headboard is decorated with antique brass-like objects, which fits the theme well.

The tall platform is likely a candlestick.

Pretty good, but there are no candles. Haha.

There are bottles of perfume, aroma and antique-looking, cool-looking phones. The perfume in each of the 4 themes has a different scent.

I really want to grab it and take it home.

A candlestick without a candle to light, it's better to put a perfume bottle instead.

Oh, I forgot to mention this. After checking in,

We will receive a Key Box, which looks like a thick book, but it is actually a box.

Inside, it contains a room key, a souvenir postcard, and a free Welcome Drink voucher.

On the left hand side is a card for a free Welcome Drink, which will be a cocktail that matches the theme of our stay.

If you receive a Welcome Drink, you can enjoy it in your room and soak up the atmosphere. This will definitely enhance your experience.

On the right hand side is a postcard booklet. You can open it up and see the postcards like the ones below.

This hotel has pictures in various themes, and you can tear them along the perforated lines to use them as postcards. How cool is that?

You can take this book home as a souvenir, but please do not take the box and key home.

This luxurious red velvet chair is incredibly comfortable and soft. It's perfect for relaxing and watching TV.

The wallpaper looks like a scene from a dance party. It's very beautiful.

As I mentioned, the bed and pillows are custom-made and have the hotel's own tag.

On the left, you'll see the bathroom area. The walls are made of clear glass, so you can see it from the bed.

Opening the door, the mirror at the sink, shower head, and Rain Shower of this theme are also made of brass.

Comfortable sitting toilet

I also use ELLE liquid soap and shampoo. It smells good.

Let's take a shower and freshen up. Then, Big T will take his friends downstairs to the bar to have a drink and some food. It's going to be a chill night.

Arriving at Behind The Scene Bar, the name literally translates to "Behind the Scenes of the Theater".

This hotel has therefore transformed this bar into a dressing room for actors behind the theater.

"This bar," Tee Dai said, "is unlike any other. There's no loud music, no thumping beats that make your eardrums dance."

The atmosphere is more relaxed, with a focus on chilling out, chatting, and having fun. Some days, there will be live music to enjoy.

Or football is also broadcast for you to watch all the time. With a big screen TV inside the bar.

The seating arrangements include both bar-style seating in the front row and more private booths with curtains, similar to theater seats.

It should be noted that the General Manager of the hotel is not only the hotel manager, but also

He is also the head bartender, with over a decade of experience as a bartender in England.

Many of the drinks are unique creations that were invented in this bar.

And he also added that some special liquors with good taste were intentionally imported and there is only one bottle on Thonglor Road, this line ... oops ...

Alright, Big T is starting to get hungry. Let me preface this by saying that I don't normally drink alcohol, but if it's a delicious cocktail, I might make an exception.

Let's start with the drinks menu first.

Let's take a look at the signature cocktails here. The prices range from 220-240, which isn't too expensive.

Some periods have 1 free 1 as well. This is something to keep an eye on.

Various classic cocktails

Beer and various liquors are also available.

I don't know any of these champagnes, Dom, Yong, or Tee Yai.

If you're not a fan of alcohol, we also have delicious smoothies available.

Oh, and most importantly, there's a 1-for-1 promotion going on right now. Buy 1 smoothie, get 1 free!

Oh no! A glass costs 30-40 baht. Where can I find it in a bar?

The menu also includes appetizers and snacks, mostly light and easy-to-eat dishes that are great for soaking up alcohol.

However, some things can also be filling, such as: Let's try them out.

Fork ready, knife ready, yeeeeeees ...

Wait a minute, they gave me a Bar to review drinks, didn't they?! ... =____=

While waiting for the drinks and food I ordered, I took a look around the bar.

The first glass that was brought to the table, for seasoned drinkers like us, here it is.

Coconut shake, huh... 555+

"It's delicious! The smoothie smells so good. The aroma and richness are like drinking coconut milk. But it's sweet and a very refreshing smoothie."

Another glass that was brought up, a kiwi smoothie. Girls who like something sour should like this.

Kiwi itself is already sour, blended and sweetened just right, perfect.

We'll have a smoothie first. Let's cut the power with roasted chili cashew nuts.

Peanuts are already the best snack, especially in bars. When roasted with chili, they give you a taste of the chili oil.

Adding a little spice makes it even more delicious.

This cup is quite big, 60 baht (more than buying 2 small packs).

Another dish is a popular snack, French fries.

The dipping sauces are ketchup and sour cream. The French fries are thick-cut and come out hot and crispy. They're delicious.

Let's start with the first cocktail.

Obstructed Love is a Romeo& Juliet-themed cocktail. It's sweet, sour, and slightly bitter.

The next cup is themed Marry Poppins.

Flying Umbrella has a sweet and fragrant vanilla syrup flavor, contrasting with the taste of vodka. It's pretty good, huh?

This glass is Four Reign or 4แผ่นดิน.

This glass has a strong Thai flavor because it contains a mixture of Mekhong, brandy, and other liquors.

Next up is Vanilla Paradise, which many girls will probably like because it has a sweet vanilla aroma.

Contrasting with the sourness of passion fruit and adding a little vodka, it's delicious and smooth.

This Smoked Salmon Roll is delicious.

Premium smoked salmon, served with a selection of sweet and tangy fruits such as grapes and green apples.

After taking a bite, the lemon at the bottom was bitten and stuck to the tip of the tongue, adding a lemony flavor. The aroma of the lemon was even more delicate.

So good!

The next dish is called "เอาอิ่ม พอได้เลย" with Pama ham and Cheddar.

Place Parma ham, fresh tomatoes, and cheddar cheese on a baguette. Bake until lightly toasted.

This is a delicious piece of Parma ham with cheese.

Let me tell you, eating it hot is really delicious.

Meet the team of bartenders who are not only skilled in mixing drinks, but also...

He is still very friendly, talkative, and entertains customers very well.

Let's take a look at the colorful and beautiful drinks at Traffic Light.

The drink has 3 layers: Passion fruit syrup, vodka, and other liquors.

The recommended way to drink is to take a big gulp and hold it in your mouth, allowing the flavors to mix. Then, swallow slowly.

This will give you a well-rounded flavor from all three types of drinks. This glass, I must say, is amazing, just like its appearance.

Next up is Blue Summer, huh? This glass gets its blue color from Blue Curaçao and its sweet and sour taste from pineapple juice.

Add a little liquor, refreshing, delicious just right.

Feeling a little tipsy, so I'm switching to a smoothie. This Lemon smoothie is the perfect balance of sweet and sour, and it's really refreshing.

Still not full, the food is still being served.

This dish is fried cheese with raspberry sauce.

The cheese is served hot, so when the cheese is hot, it will stretch like this.

We want to prove to our friends that the shop uses real cheese, so it stretches on and on and on and on and on . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Before eating, dip it in a little raspberry sauce.

Absolutely delicious! The cheese has a crispy outer layer and a soft, gooey interior. The savory and salty flavors of the cheese are perfectly complemented by the sweet and sour sauce. The chewy texture is just perfect. This dish is a winner!

Glancing at the bar, the bartenders were still busy.

They keep serving drinks, I'm starting to feel overwhelmed.

Another delightful drink to try is the Blueberry Smoothie.

You guys must have seen that if we had gotten drunk and continued, there wouldn't be any reviews to post today, haha! 555+

The sweet and sour blueberries have a unique aroma, refreshing and delicious.

This is really the last glass. Let's go watch the younger ones make it.

Poured meticulously, but the effort was in vain.

Here is the translation:

Another signature cocktail from the bar is now available.

Play Haus Martini. Does it look delicious?

This glass is guaranteed to be a hit with the ladies, as it has very little alcohol.

The cranberry red has a sweet and sour taste, not much alcohol, it's very delicious. Tee Dai also likes it.

After the savory dishes and drinks, the dessert was served.

It's a pancake filled with jam and cream, topped with caramel and maple syrup.

The pancake batter is incredibly soft and fragrant. It's best enjoyed with fresh fruits and sauce, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. It's hard to believe that such a delicious dessert can be found in a beverage bar.

Before leaving the bar, I asked the staff what was good and what was special. Show me what you've got.

"He said there were Dom and Yong or something like that. I don't know them, haha. But I took some pictures for you guys."

After enjoying the food and drinks at Behind the Scene bar, we went out for a walk to stretch our legs.

The front of the hotel has a designated smoking area.

Stepping out of the hotel's alley, you'll find a famous barbershop called CHALACHOL.

Or, to put it simply, the sign for Thonglor Pet Hospital is right there.

You can walk around Thonglor endlessly. This street is very lively, full of restaurants and bars.

The tourist area was quite crowded.

There is ample parking space in front of the hotel.

It's time to rest. I'm going back to my room now. I must say that the one night I spent here was very comfortable.

The next morning, we checked out. Breakfast is not included, but you can order it from the bar or grab something from the nearby 7-Eleven.

Summary of PLAYHAUS Hotel and Behind The Scene Bar Review

Let me explain the price first. Booking directly with the hotel, the price for a Queen Size Bed room is 1600/night and a King Size Bed is 1750/night. Looking at Agoda, the starting price is only 12XX. Isn't that too cheap? For a beautiful room, a beautiful hotel on a street where everything seems so expensive like Thonglor.

Tee Dai would like to summarize the room section first, okay?

The room itself is relatively new and clean, having only been open for two months. The overall decor seems to exceed the price of the room. The room is not very large and lacks a refrigerator and minibar, but the other furniture is complete. The staff and housekeeping are attentive, and there were no problems with the service.

In the bar section

Tee Dai isn't a big drinker, but he felt that the food and drinks were very reasonably priced, especially considering the location and ambiance. The food was generally well-prepared, and the drinks were tasty. If you're looking for a place to have a few light drinks, enjoy delicious cocktails, relax to music, or party with friends, Tee Dai thinks this is the perfect spot.
