Today, I'm taking you to an American-style seafood restaurant that's famous for its Fish & Chips (which is actually an English dish). This restaurant is a chain with over 50 locations worldwide, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Burma, Oman, and Thailand. In Thailand, there are two branches: one at Central World and one at Terminal 21. Today, I chose to try the Terminal 21 branch on the 5th floor. The restaurant is located right at the front, with a clear view of the outside. (But the seats by the window are very hot during the day!)
I ordered a Caesar Salad (99 baht).
Salmon Chowder Soup (79 THB)
Creamy Salmon Penne' in the Lite version (189 baht). The Regular version is 269 baht.
For the main course, I ordered the Manhattan Flaming Seafood Platter (599 baht). This dish is quite large, suitable for 2-4 people. It comes with 2 large pieces of fish fillet, 4 pieces of battered oysters, 10 pieces of calamari, and the highlight, Manhattan Flaming Prawns, which they will flambé with a fire spray right at your table. In addition to the seafood, there are also blanched vegetables such as carrots and broccoli, French fries, and a bed of fragrant buttered rice.
The overall taste is oily, as it is deep-fried. Don't expect too much, as deep-fried food is always oily and greasy. The fish meat is also a bit mushy. However, if you like deep-fried food, you might enjoy it. I would give it a 2-star rating overall. The price per person is around 300 baht.
