Hello everyone, with the cherry blossom season approaching, I'm sure many of you are planning your trips. Today, I'd like to recommend a cherry blossom viewing spot that I visited last year.
- Chureito Pagoda (Red Pagoda)
- Kajo Park, Yamagata
- Tsutsujigaoka Park, Sendai
- Funaoka Girls' High School
- A Thousand Cherry Trees at a Glance
- Miharu Takizakura
- Kitakami, Iwate Prefecture
- Lake Kawaguchi
Getting there: Take the train to Shimoyoshida Station (only 15 minutes from Kawaguchiko Station)
The scenery was beautiful when I went, but according to the Japan Guide, the full bloom was on April 16, 2015.
Kajo Park, Yamagata: April 15, 2015
After exiting the station, walk back along the railway tracks you came in on. It's not far, about 10 minutes.

Half an hour from Sendai City, it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the station.

This place is located near Funaoka Joshi Koen. It is recommended to take a walk at Funaoka Joshi Koen first and then walk to Hitome Senbon Sakura. There are many cherry blossoms here, lined up in a long path. You can enjoy the cherry blossoms all the way to Ogawara Station. (Funaoka Joshi Koen + Hitome Senbon Sakura takes one day)
Miharu Takizakura : April 17, 2015
Kitakami' Tenshochi Park : April 17, 2015
Exiting from the East exit, you will find the Information counter where you can request a map. You can also store your luggage here and rent bicycles (for a fee). However, be sure to check the closing time so that you don't miss your return trip or have to come back to collect your luggage and return the bicycle, which could cause you to miss the Light up show.

Travel: Kawaguchiko Station
Here, I bought a 2-Day Pass for Kawaguchiko and Saiko for 1200 Yen, which allows for unlimited bus rides around Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko within two days. The scenery was absolutely stunning during my visit.
