+++ Paradise Garden of Hundreds of Fruit Varieties, a Wonder... Chanthaburi +++

Hello everyone, brothers and sisters.
This is my second post, but it's the first review post I've written about a trip I took with my blogger friends.
I finally realized that traveling like a blogger is this much fun. 555

For this trip to Chanthaburi, I was invited by Tummeng Trip Travel Magazine, a famous blogger.
He asked me if I wanted to go on a trip to Chanthaburi with him for the "12 Must-Visit Cities" event.
organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

I didn't think twice before quickly agreeing because I really wanted to eat durian in Chanthaburi. 555
I didn't think about anything else besides that, really. 555
But when I tried searching for information about Chanthaburi on Google, I was like, "Wow! This province has so much more to offer than I thought."

For this trip to Chanthaburi,
Tummeng has already planned the itinerary.
The trip will be from Saturday to Tuesday, 4 days and 3 nights.

If you're ready, let's go on a trip to Chanthaburi! Go!!!

[This thread is an SR.]

- This trip was sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

- Round-trip flight tickets Chiang Rai-Don Mueang sponsored by Nokair

- All vehicles used for transportation during this trip were sponsored by Thai Rent A Car.

Chanthaburi - A Paradise of Hundreds of Fruit Varieties

If you're in Bangkok and looking for a weekend getaway, Chanthaburi is a great option. It's only about 265 km from the capital, which takes about 4 hours to drive.

For this trip, my brother Tum and I flew from Chiang Rai to Don Mueang Airport. We then rented a car from Thai Rent A Car at the airport. Luckily, we got a new Toyota Yaris, which was very comfortable to drive.
After picking up the car, we headed straight to Chanthaburi. We were worried that we wouldn't make it before dark, as we left the airport around 1 pm.
Our destination for the night was the Gems Club Hotel in downtown Chanthaburi.

Stroll through the riverside community of Chanthaburi... an ancient community with a history spanning over 300 years.

Upon arrival and check-in at Gems Club Hotel, which is adjacent to the riverside community of Chanthaburi.

After we finished packing our things, my brother Tum and I prepared our weapons to go out and take pictures, but the sky was playing tricks on us.

Throughout my trip to Chanthaburi, it rained every evening and morning, but the sky was incredibly beautiful during the day. 555

The riverside community of Chanthaburi is an ancient riverside community that is over 300 years old. The walking distance to see the way of life at the riverside community of Chanthaburi is about 1 kilometer. Along the way,

This area is home to old houses, a Christian church, a Buddhist temple, a Chinese shrine, the Plod Market, and shops selling traditional Thai desserts, which are becoming increasingly rare to find.

Once upon a time, a major fire broke out in the riverside community of Chanthaburi, causing damage to some of the old houses. Today, the area has been transformed into a modern cityscape.

This has resulted in a harmonious blend of old and new houses, creating a truly unique and integrated architectural landscape.

Atmosphere of houses in the riverside community

House number 69, which is a community learning center on the banks of the Chanthaburi River. I arrived too late and it was closed.

This building was used in a 2007 commercial for the song "Do Do Do, Look at What You Did, Why Did You Do This to Me?" Remember that?

Every morning, monks come out to collect alms and give blessings to the villagers.

House number 252, Luang Ratchamaitri Historical Residence....Friends can book a stay here.

The first ice cream shop in Chanthaburi to use machinery was Tra Jor Wod Ice Cream Shop.

"Aun Mai's Kway Chap... The shop is opposite Luang Ratchamai's house. If you come to the riverside community of Chanthaburi, don't miss it. I tell you, because I missed it already 555"

Auntie Tai's egg dessert... The grandmother is still strong and puts the dessert in herself. The grandmother's daughter makes the dessert. It's very delicious, I confirm. You have to eat it hot, it's the best.

Immaculate Conception Church (Christ Church of Chanthaburi)

The Church of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the Christ Church of Chanthaburi City, is the only Roman Catholic church in Mueang Chanthaburi District.

It is very beautiful, no matter which angle you look at it, it is beautiful and sacred.

The interior is decorated with beautiful stained glass. The front of the church is a statue of the Virgin Mary.

This Catholic church is a large, historic church that has been a part of the Chanthaburi community for over a century.

And it is one of the most beautiful in the country.

Those who are interested can visit the Immaculate Conception Church. It is open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM.

For those who will enter the church, please dress modestly and appropriately.

The atmosphere of the riverside community taken from the top of the Niromol Bridge in front of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Pictures of the beautiful Church of the Immaculate Conception... in many different moods.

The interior of the Immaculate Conception Church is beautifully decorated. I happened to be there on a Sunday when the villagers were about to start a religious ceremony.

After admiring the beauty of the riverside community of Chanthaburi, I was hungry and it was time to find some delicious Chanthaburi food to eat. For my first dinner in Chanthaburi, I decided to eat at... the Floating Market.

Pad Thai with fresh shrimp... This shop is amazing! It's delicious and affordable. The special is only 40 baht.

And another menu that was recommended by a brother who is from Chanthaburi that if you come to Chanthaburi and don't eat chili salt rice, it's like you haven't arrived.

I think the taste is similar to chicken rice mixed with chili salt, and there is seafood dipping sauce to dip. But it's worth a try. If you go to Chanthaburi, you must try it. Chili salt mixed rice.

This dish is also 40 baht.

Chanthaburi Gem and Jewelry Center...Asia's largest gem museum

After exploring the Chanthaburi community area in the morning, it's time to continue our journey. On the first morning in Chanthaburi, we are ready to go all out. We are so fit! 555

Go....Head to Khlung District.....Meet at Rai Phaen Din Village, Bang Chan

After packing our belongings, we went out for lunch. The homestay had prepared a delicious meal for us. …

To be honest, my brother Tum and I couldn't finish all of this food. It was way too much!

Experience the local way of life....and take a walk through the atmosphere of the landless village of Bang Chan.

After finishing my meal, I decided to take a walk to help with digestion.

Take a walk and see the way of life of the villagers of Rai Pla Din Village, Bang Chan. What do they do?

Most of the villagers in this village are mainly engaged in fishing.

The most common product found in this village is dried shrimp.

And at the end of the village, there is a central point of the village, which is the temple.

The atmosphere of the landless village and the way of life of the villagers here.

Embark on a bamboo raft, witness the flock of red hawks, and experience the parting sea... a must-visit destination.

After visiting the Baan Rai Pla Din (Landless Village) in Bang Chan,

It's time to go out on a wet raft and see the large flocks of red hawks. And most importantly, go to the separated sea.

Our guide told us that the sand at the Talay Waek is fine black sand that can be used as a body scrub, making the skin smoother and softer.

On the way back, you can paddle a kayak back to the homestay.

The first time in my life that I stepped on the parted sea, the parted sea at Bang Chan, which is about 200 meters long.

As evening fell, my brother Tum and I paddled our kayaks across the river to wait and take pictures on the other side.

But the weather is not cooperating, it's getting dark. Hehe.

After we finished taking photos, it was time for the delicious dinner we had been waiting for... lots of crab!

We ate all of this between two people again. I'm so full I could puke. 5555

After finishing the meal, we sang karaoke to digest the food for a while. We couldn't go out to take pictures of the stars because it rained all night. 555 In the morning, we made merit by offering food to the monks. We felt full of blessings. @ Baan Talay Dao Homestay.

I woke up a little late this morning because I couldn't sleep last night. It rained all night and the power went out, so it was very hot. I didn't get much sleep. Hehe.

Waking up to a cool and refreshing morning, it's absolutely amazing! After a short walk, it's time for the monks to collect alms.

At Sea Star Home Stay, they will prepare offerings for you to give to the monks in the morning. You can make merit before returning home.

10.00 am. It's time to pack up and get ready to leave Baan Talay Dao Homestay.

The bottle of water is used for oyster farming by the villagers. I was wondering about it for a long time. 555

Ratchanee Pia Cake @ Makham...deliciousness worth waiting for 2 years

Translation:

After tasting the fruits from KP Garden,

Let's try another famous dessert from Chanthaburi, the pia cake.

For friends who want to try the Ratchanee pineapple cake at Makham, you'll have to wait up to 2 years for just one box.

Aunt Rachanee's house is located behind the Makham District Municipality, not far from Wat Makham.

It's a small, single-story house.

Upon arrival, I found an elderly woman sitting alone, making sweets. Don't be surprised, because it's true. You have to wait two years to eat it.

I visited the Rachanee Makham Chinese pastry shop, owned by Aunt Rachanee. She makes all the pastries herself. I asked her why she doesn't hire any employees.

The aunt replied that they couldn't stand each other and all quit. So the aunt had to sit and do it herself, doing it over and over again.

While we were talking to the aunt, she was making Chinese pastry non-stop.

One day, the aunt can make 600 "pia" pastries per day because she makes them by hand, one at a time.

However, in the past, the aunt said that she could make up to 1,000 dumplings a day. However, as the aunt is getting older, she can make less now.

As I chatted with the auntie, she brought out a plate of pineapple cakes for me to try. Wow, they were delicious! No wonder people are willing to wait two years in line for them.

The auntie said that if you come to order, don't order, but you can taste as much as you want. 555

For those who want to pre-order

The aunt will open for orders again, starting from June 1, 2016 onwards.

Friends, who want to taste the deliciousness of Rachanee's mooncakes, have to wait another year to make a reservation.

Contact us at Tel. 039-361-087 from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. After 6:00 PM, please do not call. The aunt is resting at this time. Then at midnight, the aunt will wake up and work until morning.

Chanthaburi Phochana, a long-standing restaurant in Chanthaburi.

After stopping by to taste the deliciousness of Khun Pa Rachanee's Rachanee Chinese pastry,

It's lunchtime, and we're having lunch at Chanthaburi Restaurant (Maharaj Branch), which is run by Mr. To or Mr. Ukkrit.

If you talk about Chanthaburi people's Chanthaburi Phochana restaurant, there is no way that no one knows this restaurant. Chanthaburi Phochana restaurant has been open for more than 50 years.

Recommended menu at Chanthaburi Restaurant, such as "Mangosteen Salad". Anyone who has tried it must be impressed by its deliciousness and perfect combination like me.

Another must-try dish in Chanthaburi is "Gaeng Moo Chamuang" (Pork Curry with Chamuang Leaves) at the renowned Chanthaburi Restaurant.

They also have canned versions available for purchase as souvenirs.

Next station heading to... Chao Lao Beach

After a satisfying lunch at Chanthaburi Restaurant, it was time to continue our journey.

Hike to study nature.....Khung Kraben Wildlife Sanctuary

Translation:

After checking in at Chantachaw Laow Beach Resort, we took a short break.

It's time for the evening to go out and watch the sunset and study nature.

We were led by park officials to the first point of our hike.

This is the Khao Bo Taey viewpoint, a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. However, the day we went there was very windy.

It was impossible to set up a tripod to take pictures. Even standing still, I was almost blown away. The wind was really strong.

After spending some time at the Khao Bo Taek viewpoint, we continued on to the Koh Chang Sabai viewpoint.

Or, as the locals call it, Khao Khad Cave, takes about 10-15 minutes to walk.

Khao Chong Sabat is still a closed island. The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation

Stargazing with the moon at Ao Kung Kraben

After taking photos at the Khao Bo Taey viewpoint, my brother Tum and I thought that

I can't take a picture of the sunset here because I can't set up a tripod. The wind is too strong.

So we quickly changed the location to shoot the sunset.

Our destination is Ao Kung Kraben, the Aquaculture Demonstration Unit within Ao Kung Kraben Bay.

The Aquatic Animal Demonstration Unit was established to demonstrate how to increase marine resources in a sustainable manner.

Featuring a diverse range of marine life, including leopard sharks, damselfish, bonnethead sharks, green sea turtles, and hawksbill turtles.

White sea bass, grouper, etc.

Viewpoint Nang Phaya Hill......the most romantic viewpoint

After a relaxing stay at Jant Jaow Laow Beach Resort,

My brother Tum and I woke up early and went to take pictures of the sunrise at the Nang Phaya Viewpoint.

But the sky this morning is not cooperating with us at all. It's completely overcast. 555

It takes about 20 minutes to drive from Jant Jaow Beach Resort to the Nang Phaya Viewpoint.

The Nang Phaya Viewpoint is a stunning spot to watch the sunset over the eastern sea.

But we came at the wrong time. Come this morning instead. 555

I really wanted to turn on the car's headlights early in the morning, but there were no cars passing by, so I ended up driving myself. Haha.

Taksin Maharat Bridge (Laem Sing Bridge)

After taking a picture of the sunrise, but I didn't actually see the sunrise. I just imagined it. 555

Then we drove to take pictures at the Taksin Maharat Bridge (Laem Sing Bridge).

It takes about 30 minutes to drive from the Nang Phaya Viewpoint.

Taksin Maharat Bridge is a bridge that crosses the mouth of the Chanthaburi River.

The Taksin Maharat Bridge (Laem Sing Bridge) offers stunning views.

The view stretches out to the local fishing community along the coast of the Chanthaburi River mouth.

It is one of the most beautiful sunset viewing points in Chanthaburi.

It is also a popular spot for fishing enthusiasts.

Chanthaburi Aquarium, Celebrating the 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King

This is the last stop for the "Must-Visit Cities" trip in Chanthaburi province.
