Continued from Soaking in hot water, sleeping in the cold at Pong Kwao
Around 8:00 am, we rolled down the mountain to find food to eat by the roadside near Mae Rim before climbing another mountain to admire the beauty of a small house in a large forest, a small village nestled in and relying on nature like Mae Kampong.
You read that right, you understood correctly, you came the right way. Doi Sa-meang Nuea came to Doi Mae Kampong, a different part of Chiang Mai, but we made it... It was Mae Kampong that made many people in the car give up the good tours of Doi Sa-meang in many places to come and try it out. Let's go.
.....
P.S. I closed the blog for several days. I came back to update the blog on my birthday. Thank you to all my blog friends who left their birthday wishes on the old blog.
^ ^
This time, I would like to give credit to the driver for his expertise in navigating the roads, which made it possible to visit places that were close to each other in different parts of the city. As for me and my friends in the car, we had never been on that route before. Roughly speaking, we followed the map that we borrowed from the Khon Kaen University Hiking Club. We went on the red route and returned on the blue route.

Left my heart with the stream, at Mae Kampong
Abundant nature, friendly people, abundant orchids, to the land of tea and coffee. There are authentic herbal medicines, refreshing cool waterfalls.Beautiful mountain views, shady pine forests on Mon Lan.

Mae Kampong Village, Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province, is located amidst the mountains and has a cool climate all year round. The villagers are engaged in tea planting, farming, and coffee making, which has attracted a steady stream of tourists to admire its beauty. The increasing number of tourists has raised concerns among villagers that it may have an impact on the community in the future.
Especially the outside culture that comes with tourists. From what has happened, it is necessary to have a process to prevent problems so that people in the village and tourists are aware of the conservation of natural resources. Along with the conservation of the culture of the people in the community. By using the research process, the project model for sustainable ecotourism management, Mae Kampong Village, Moo 3, Huai Kaew Subdistrict, Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province, with Mr. Prommin Puangmala as the project leader.
After the research process is completed, villagers can collect plant species, animal species, valuable medicinal plants, flowering plants such as "orchid", information about history, wisdom according to the way of life of the community, as well as developing the potential of people in the community from participating in the research process. In addition, the knowledge gained is used to develop and develop into a tourism model under the management of the community in a systematic manner, consisting of tourism activities, tourism programs and models, tourism rules and regulations of the community, tourism committee, management of tourism resources of the community, focusing on income distribution and benefits that reach the community in a balanced manner.

Seeking identity, seeking nature
The highlight of this trip for me was this temple, even though I'm not a Buddhist. The central pavilion in the middle of the water is beautiful and blends perfectly with nature.
This pavilion is on the right-hand side.
This one is on the left hand side, with a local mascot attached. Cute ^^
Besides the Lanna Ancient House Museum, I also found this place where you can actually drink from the well.
Let's go find a place to check in.
Let's cross the bamboo bridge together.
Just crossed over
I saw a glimpse of the temple in the middle of the water.
The coolness by the stream has arrived.
This is an opportunity, a chance, a stroke of luck, or whatever you want to call it, that we went and "felt relieved". Only this little guy was there to welcome us. This moment is so cool.
This angle is also beautiful
I remember John throwing a rock into the water for the two dogs that were playing in the water. The brown one brought the rock back to him. That was it. The small joys of children in the midst of nature and a friendly host had begun.
Christian will follow the dogs.

From the temple, we walked down the hill. We didn't walk back up, so we don't know if there was anything beautiful waiting for us at the top. We didn't get to see the nature trail that we had planned to see, and we didn't get to make the tea leaf pillows because there was a funeral at the temple grounds. There were a lot of tents and people, and it was very chaotic, so we decided to just keep walking down the hill. We didn't hear much of the northern Thai language. The day we went was a long weekend for Makha Bucha, so there were a lot of people from Bangkok. It was colorful.
P.S. I didn't see any Chinese people, I guess they don't know about it yet ^^
The river - bends and surrounds the small village of Mae Kampong
The scorching midday sun beat down on our heads, signaling lunchtime for many. But not for us, as our breakfast had been unusually late.
That day, I was surprised to see the restaurant packed.
"Is it delicious?" I wondered.
It turned out that there weren't many other options available.
Still searching for the whereabouts of Uncle Putt and Aunt Pung.
And then I found it, but when I went into the shop,
I was disappointed.
Because it was so crowded, there was no room to stand.
I didn't expect to sit, but there was no room to stand.
It's okay, even if there's no place to stand or sit, we can still walk around and take pictures, right?
The news that netizens have dubbed this shop the "7-Eleven" of this area is good. It's a strong conservation community, and capitalists haven't been able to destroy the way of life here. 👏👏👏
Here we are !!!
Arrived at our new check-in spot
The village bus stop pavilion
Awesome
Pick wildflowers by the roadside
Waiting for the car at the Off the Gibbon flight, I went to see a small museum in Mae Kampong Village.

The way up was shocking, the car stalled, the way down was shaky 555+
The Huay Tueng Lueang Royal Project is a restricted area and visitors are not allowed inside.
(Not much detail because I stopped by twice, the first time to use the restroom and walk around the beautiful area for 10 minutes, the second time to go down the mountain.)
Let's soak our feet in cool water.
At Mae Kampong and Huai Tin Tok Royal Project, there are Queen's Flower trees in full bloom. The Siamese tulip trees are also blooming beautifully. But that afternoon, the sun was hot, I was tired, and the timing wasn't good, so I didn't get any pictures......
I didn't even take a picture of the maple tree. I only got a picture of myself with the dry maple tree. I don't know how they go together. 5555555 (Source of the maple tree picture: google.com)

Before heading back, we stopped by Tharn Thong Lord to eat lunch and have a break before heading back to the city and home...
Until our next trip together
