Hello everyone on Pantip!
It's been a while since this nursing student has had a long semester break.
I mentioned to my mom that I wanted to go on a trip, relax, and take some pictures. I haven't been on a trip for years (exaggeration).
As soon as I was free, my mom invited me to go to the beach, saying she was afraid I would be bored.
So I started researching which beaches were beautiful and worth visiting.
I came across a review of Koh Phayam by someone on Pantip. The name was strange, and the view looked strange too. 555
So I did some more research to find out where this island was located. I got the answer from Google that it's in...
Ranong! Oh my god! Ranong! It's so far away, my butt will fall off!
I hesitated for 18 seconds and then decided to go there. The reason is because it's beautiful. 555

Before taking everyone on a journey, let me promote our image gallery first 5555.

Who likes to take pictures, take pictures of the scenery, take pictures of this and that randomly like us, or maybe not like us.

Come visit us, haha 555

[ DAY 1 ] 6 MAY 2015

We arrived in Ranong around 9:00 am. As someone who doesn't like to plan things in advance, I was still enjoying a leisurely sleep on the bus when I started looking for ferry times to the island. Less than 5 minutes later, I was bracing myself for a scolding from my mom. The only ferries to the island were at 9:30 am and 2:00 pm (I had initially assumed there would be ferries all day, like at Koh Larn). Everyone in our group decided to go on the afternoon ferry, but luckily for us, when we arrived at the pier, there were ferries leaving regularly. We bought tickets for the 11:00 am ferry (the website I had checked hadn't been updated in years =.,=).

Parking fee is 100 baht per night. Round-trip boat ticket is 700 baht per person.

Once you've paid for your ticket, you might as well get your money's worth. As soon as you board the boat, head straight to the front.

With no roof, you can fully appreciate the scenery and breathe in the fresh air, soaking up vitamin D.

I arrived at Koh Phayam without much effort, but I was a little to moderately disappointed that the sand wasn't as white as in the pictures. T^T

Motorcycle rental is 200 baht per day.

And then I zoomed into the accommodation, almost falling off several curves because the road was incredibly narrow, but wider than Koh Lan I had been to.

This trip we stayed at Phayam Cottage Resort. The atmosphere was great, super quiet, and the swimming pool was huge.

Most importantly, the resort has a beautiful beach. Oh, and the foreigners are handsome too. Haha! 555

Large house, sleeps 4, air-conditioned, 4500 baht per night with breakfast included.

It's eerily quiet, as expected during the monsoon season. You'd think it was a deserted island, haha.

He's my little brother, naughtier than a monkey and more restless than a crab in a basket.

The bag is not big, but it can hold a lot of things.

Being a teenager? Must be against the light (I want to ask my mom, which generation is it? 5555)

When the water recedes, the sand emerges.

Then go and capture the twilight at Ao Yai. They say it's beautiful there.

For dinner, I had to rely on Blue Sky as other restaurants were closed due to the monsoon season. It was a bit pricey, but the food was decent.

After sitting and eating for a while, Aku said that Koh Kam is beautiful. It's worth going. Are you interested? ...

So I leaned in towards my mom and made big eyes, saying, "How about we go to Koh Kam tomorrow? We can go diving, see the coral, meditate..." Okay, not really. Haha.

I think my mom started to get annoyed, so she replied with a very sarcastic "Okay". 5555

Another day is gone. Let me go charge the camera battery and save some energy for island hopping first, everyone. See you later!

[ DAY 2 ] 7 MAY 2015

Woke up to the fresh sea air this morning, showered and dressed, ready to hit the islands. But as soon as I drove out of the resort, it started raining! It came out of nowhere, even though the sun was shining brightly. My camera was hanging around my neck, and I was driving, so I had to find a place to park and put it away quickly. I ducked into the health center to avoid the rain, my face and hair soaked, looking like a drowned puppy.

The price for a long-tail boat to Koh Kam is 4,000 baht. The boat is a private charter, so you can bring as many people as you want. It's more economical if you have a large group. There is no time limit, you can stay as long as you like (but not overnight, haha). And most importantly, you need to bring your own lunch, as there are no shops on the island.

I haven't bathed my son in the sun for a long time. 5555

I wonder if I'm sleepy... No, I'm not. My brother is sleeping while watching the debris and rocks from the ship collision.

Whew, barely dodged the wave with the camera! 5555

One person died, sleeping soundly 5555

After a 40-minute long-tail boat ride, we arrived at the first island, "Bat Island".

Wow, it's really quiet here. Like, the whole island is just us. Haha.

The boat driver asked if we wanted to go diving, but we just said no and that we only wanted to take pictures.

And then the captain said, "Get ready to go ashore!" Oh, shit. Do we have to get into the water to get to the beach?

The sunscreen I applied probably won't be left 555 The water is very clear. In exchange for my blackness, I forgive you.

Mom told me to take a picture, but my younger sibling walked into the frame. 555

It was very difficult to climb because we were short 5555

Judging from this picture, the sun must have been really strong. I'm going to need more than aloe vera to soothe this sunburn!

In the end, we couldn't resist and decided to go snorkeling.

The following are photos taken from a GoPro camera. Some of the photos may be upside down or backwards, as the camera fell out of its mount several times.

It was fun but tiring. Wearing the wrong size life jacket made it difficult to float. 5555

When I arrived at the diving spot, the camera fell off the stick.

We didn't realize it because we adapted the selfie stick to use with the gopro to save money.

But the boat driver was very quick-eyed. He dived down and retrieved the camera for us.

Many thanks to him, otherwise the photos would be gone and the camera would probably be touring the depths of the Andaman Sea.

Due to the fact that the water level is still high, we can only see the coral reefs faintly.

And I couldn't kick my legs anymore because I was so tired. I'd better get back on the boat.

Next is "Japanese Island"

We came across a boat that arrived before us. We were a little disappointed because we thought we wouldn't see anyone. 555

This island has a wider beach than Bat Island, and the view is also quite a bit more beautiful.

White sand beach, crystal clear blue water, I fell in love with the sea today.

We took some quick photos on this island because it was so hot. The midday sun was so bright that we immediately returned to the boat after taking the photos.

And then we arrived at the highlight island of the day, "Koh Kam".

Very beautiful, very beautiful, very very beautiful.

I tricked my little brother into jumping into the water 3 times before I got this picture. 5555

The beach is full of jellyfish.

We think this island has the same atmosphere as the island in Pirate of Caribbean lol 5555

The weather is cool and comfortable, with a constant breeze. The pine trees act as a natural roof, providing excellent shelter.

Upon arriving at this island, my energy started to dwindle. I didn't feel like doing anything anymore. Haha.

The camera only had one battery left, so we kept pressing it repeatedly and then sat down to eat here.

Eating and looking at the sea makes me want to sleep 555

Around 3 pm, we decided to go back home with mom because almost all of our cameras were running out of battery.

Before we left, we decided to climb up for a view.

And then we arrived at Koh Phayam, we quickly took a shower, grabbed our cameras, and zoomed off to Ao Yai.

Before we left, we stopped by Ao Hin Khao, Ao Phai, and Ao Kwang Pi.

I could only go halfway. It started to get deserted and it was getting dark (this area is a bird watching spot, the trees are quite dense and thick).

I started to get scared because I was alone, so I decided to go back to the main bay.

On the way, I saw this angle for a fleeting moment, so I climbed up the hill where they had put up a "No Entry" sign and got this picture.

Upon reaching the large bay, due to our foolishness and inability to set the Time Lapse mode, we ended up pressing the button ourselves (297 sheets).

The clip I got wasn't very good, but I put a lot of effort into it ><

Day 2 ended with a picture of the sunset at Ao Yai.

[ DAY 3 ] 8 MAY 2015
We originally planned to go watch the sunrise today, but we woke up late, haha. So we missed it.
After lying around for a while, we got up and invited our mother's friend and her younger sibling to go kayaking with us.
The kayak is actually meant for two people, but our mother wanted her younger sibling to join us, so we ended up squeezing in three people. We paddled around the beach in front of the resort.
P.S. This kayak belongs to the resort, and they allow guests to use it for free. Normally, if you rent one, it would cost around 100 baht per hour.

At 11 am, we packed our things, checked out, and prepared to board the boat. We had 40 minutes left.

We told our mom that we were going to take pictures of the temple in the middle of the water, and then we rushed off for fear of missing the noon boat.

And then we got back on the boat. We sat at the front like before.

After reaching the shore, we stopped for something to eat and then my mother drove back to rest in Pranburi.

We searched for hotels and found Avason Hua Hin. We arrived in Pranburi at 10 pm. It was very quiet here, some hotels even turned off their lights. We drove around until we found Avason and checked in. There is a golf cart service from the parking lot to the hotel because it is quite far away.

We chose Avason Studio, which can only accommodate 2 people. Children under 12 years old stay free.

[Spoiler] Click to reveal hidden textOur room rate was on promotion for 3950 baht + 1 adult (1700) + breakfast for child 300 = 5950 baht

The accommodation has a very good atmosphere, very beautiful. But the only downside is that there are a lot of mosquitoes at night.

One last snap before bed, loving this big mirror! 555

[ DAY 4 ] 9 MAY 2015

This morning I swore I wouldn't miss it. I set my alarm for 5 am and woke up to take pictures of the sunrise at the beach.

And then I went back to swimming.

The sun is getting strong, so I'm getting out of the pool and going to eat breakfast.

After we finished eating, we walked around to take pictures of the atmosphere.

Then I went to pack my things and prepare to check out. I'm ready to go home now.

I hope this review will be helpful for those who want to visit Koh Phayam.

Let's pack our bags and go on a trip! Thank you everyone for following me until the end.
