This thread focuses on photos. Detailed travel information and expenses will be interspersed throughout the thread.
This trip was so spontaneous that I didn't prepare anything in advance. I was lying in bed thinking about how much I wanted to travel.
My friends were busy, my parents were at work, and I didn't have a boyfriend (sigh!!). Since I wanted to take photos, I opened a forum and found a review of this place.
So I booked a ticket right away, but in my stupidity, I chose a flight to Lampang because I thought it was close to Phu Langka.
And to make matters worse, the ticket to Chiang Rai was almost 500 baht cheaper.

June 17, 2015
6:00 AM Super early flight, I'm so sleepy.

7:20 AM Khelang Nakhon

This flight arrived in Lampang earlier than expected. We took a green and yellow songthaew from the airport and met a car going to Phayao while we were stuck at a red light. I almost jumped out of the car for fear that the light would turn green before we could get there. 555

[Spoiler] Click to reveal hidden textFlight ticket Bangkok-Lampang 2490฿ including insurance and airport fees.

The text you provided is already in English. Therefore, no translation is required.

Shared taxi from Lampang Airport to the bus station is 50฿ (I got off halfway, not sure if this is the price for the whole route).

The fare for the green bus from Lampang to Phayao is 95฿ (air-conditioned).

What kind of ticket is this? It's so long!

10:00 AM Good morning, Phayao

When I arrived at Phayao Bus Terminal, I stood there for a while, confused. Then I saw an orange bus, Phayao-Chiang Kham, about to leave. I ran to catch the bus again. On the way, the driver was very chill, stopping to buy food all the way. 5555 (Will I make it?)

The fare is 50฿ for a distance of about 80 km. The travel time is about 1 hour and 40 minutes (fan).

11:40 AM Chiang Kham

And then we missed the Chiang Rai-Nan bus that only runs once a day at 11am, so we stopped to eat noodles at a great restaurant that we read about on Pantip on the left corner (facing the bus station). It was delicious.

12:10 AM It's probably too late.
It hurts to know that the bus has already left. It's my turn to be unlucky. I'm looking for a car to go up the mountain. I saw hundreds of blue songthaews parked in a row (exaggerated). After negotiating the price, I asked the uncle to stop by the Seven Eleven to prepare supplies for the mountain.

The price of a shared taxi to Phu Langka Resort is 600฿ per car. If you come with a lot of people, it will be more worthwhile. I came alone and paid the full amount. It's super expensive.

12:30 AM I'm going to touch the horizon.
The advantage of renting a songthaew is that we own the whole car. We can sit, lie down, or do somersaults without anyone looking. And most importantly, we can reserve space at the back of the car to set up camp and keep taking pictures.

Very chill

1:30 PM The legendary resort...

Upon arriving at Phu Langka Resort, we were greeted by a black dog guarding the resort and an eerie silence. At first, we thought it was quiet because it was the low season, but we didn't expect it to be this quiet. We then went to check in at House 1, which was incredibly far from the counter. The staff saw that I was alone and offered to move me to House 2/1. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful.

2:30 PM Entering the forest
From the rotten bed, there was nothing to do. I arrived early and waited for the fog in the morning. So I asked the brother at the resort if I wanted to go up to the top of the mountain. Is there a car going up? It turned out that during the rainy season, the park prohibits cars from going up. If you want to go up the mountain, you have to walk about 30 km. (We decided to sleep again because we are not Tik Navigator 555) Rolling around for a while, I picked up the camera and walked to the front of the resort.

If you're coming alone, I highly recommend bringing a tripod. It's a bit heavy, but it will help you get great photos.

The resort staff informed me that the cost of a car ride to the top of the mountain is approximately 1200฿. Alternatively, if you choose to drive yourself, a four-wheel drive vehicle is mandatory. During the rainy season, the park authorities do not clear the grass or maintain the walking paths. However, during the winter season, the park will provide a designated path.

6:00 AM The alarm didn't go off..
Oh my god!! We woke up with a start at 6 o'clock, thinking we were dead. Where did the sun and fog go? Damn clock, we rushed to change clothes, grabbed the camera and tripod and ran to the front of the resort. The fog was very light, we were a little disappointed. We took some pictures for a while and then moved to the front of the resort.

The mist began to move to cover the Pha Chang Noi.

6:40 AM Sea of Mist Curve & Photographer's Corner

The weather is super cool, around 28 degrees. This curve is all ours, let's book some space and take pictures from every angle! 5555

7:30 AM Breakfast with a light mist

For breakfast, the resort offered rice porridge with pork, Ovaltine, and coffee, which we could serve ourselves. The rice porridge was delicious, and I felt like a winner being the first one up to eat it, haha. I also met Uncle K, the owner of the resort. He seemed very kind, and I later learned that he is a descendant of Chinese royalty. If there are a lot of guests staying at the resort, he puts on a special show for them, but I missed it, haha.

10:30 AM Kind-hearted people from the north..

As we were about to wait for the bus, the resort staff told us that a regular guest was going to Nan and offered us a ride. We were hesitant at first, but then decided to go for it. After all, we were already there, so what was there to be afraid of? We even had a tripod with us, so if anything happened, we could just swing it around. 555

11:40 PM A city amidst the mountains..

It turned out that the driver was very kind. He chatted with us the whole way and stopped for us to take pictures along the way. We were very hesitant, but because we wanted the pictures, we didn't refuse. The scenery between Pong and Nan was amazing. I've been to the north many times, but I've never seen anything like it...

12:30 AM Pua vs Nan
When we arrived at Tha Wang Pha intersection, the driver asked if we wanted to get off there. There would be a bus to Nan from that intersection because he was going to deliver some fabric near Pua and then head to Nan city. Or we could go with him, it wouldn't take long. So we decided to continue because we wanted to take pictures in Pua anyway.

1:00 PM Unexpected detour!!
Then something unexpected happened. The hospital where he was going to deliver the goods was in Chalermprakiet district, which is on the Thai-Lao border, about 1.5 hours from Pua. I was stunned and thought to myself, what should I do? I didn't have any plans to go there. I didn't want to inconvenience him by getting off there, so I decided to continue. The view along the way made me realize that I had made the right decision to come here.

3:00 PM Border

The Chalermprakiet district is a small district located on the Thai-Lao border, just 1 km from Laos. There is no public transportation that passes through this area. We were lucky to have come here.

The last day will be posted later.

5:30 PM
Upon arriving in Nan, our host took us to eat a delicious bowl of 'dook' tom yum soup noodles at the Teeo Rai Thiam Than restaurant.

Delicious. The meat is very tender and juicy. The broth is rich and flavorful, but it's a bit spicy for me. I couldn't finish it all. 555

After finishing our meal, we went around looking for accommodation. We went to Heuan Muan Jai, but it looked deserted and seemed to be closed. We went to Wiang Phumin, but it was full. We went to Khum Muang Mint, but only the large room was available (too expensive). We went to Baan Nai Wiang, but it was also full. So we ended up at Nan Suwarin. The rooms are beautiful and very good value for money. Today there were 2 rooms available, so we each booked one. For more details, please see below.

The room rate is 400฿/night. Air conditioning, free wifi, hot water, private bathroom, and spacious parking are available. However, it is a bit far from the main areas in the city center.

8:00 PM Temple closes

When we got to the accommodation, my brother said he would take us to take pictures on the top of Phra That Khao Noi to capture the view of Nan city. When we arrived, it turned out that the temple was closed. We arrived too late. We missed it. TT So we went down to take pictures of Wat Phumin instead. Then we went to find something to eat before heading back. I recommend that if you come here, you should come to take pictures during the sunset. It will be very beautiful.

8:30 PM Nan

This shop also offers bicycle rentals. The bicycles are beautiful. We ordered a caramel milkshake.

Looks like this guy is the owner of the shop 5555

60฿ per glass, it's delicious, but we think it's a bit too sweet. Next time we'll have to order less sweet. Then we went back to our accommodation and went to sleep.

June 19, 2018
7:30 AM The temple is no longer closed.
Back to Phra That Khao Noi, the Buddha statue is on the top of the mountain. The weather is cool and comfortable at 29 degrees. Take pictures of Nan city with cool and comfortable weather.

Wat Phra That Khao Noi

Stop by Wat Si Phan Ton on the way.

8:30 AM Khao Soi Ton Nam

This morning, my brother took me to eat Khao Soi at Khao Soi Ton Nam restaurant. It was more delicious than I expected. I didn't add any chili, haha.

Today, we told our older sibling that we wanted to treat them to a meal. They said it was no problem, and that coming with us was like coming with their own child. We felt incredibly grateful. Then, they told us they would wait for us at a coffee shop so we could take our time taking photos.

Khao soi gai

This restaurant has the most delicious Khao Soi ever! If I ever go back, I'll definitely eat there again.

9:00 AM Ming Muang Temple, Nan City Pillar Shrine

Nan is a city with a lot of temples. We found them on every corner. Let's start with...

Ming Mueang Temple, Nan City Pillar Shrine

9:30 AM - OTOP Center, Nan City

Stopped by the OTOP center in Nan city to find souvenirs for my grandparents, parents, and to find some cotton clothes to wear for photos. I was there for an hour and a half, haha.

11:00 AM Wat Phumin

Setting up the camera in the middle of the courtyard in front of Wat Phumin, it's so hot! I'm the only one standing in the sun taking pictures in the whole temple. 555

Earth Day

11:15 AM Tunnel Lee La Wa Dee

The art gallery is closed for renovation, so I could only take a picture of the Lee La Wa Dee tunnel. T_T

Setting up the camera again. Let's try a cool tone this time.

11:25 AM SO SEED Ultimate Satisfactory

My brother took me to eat before boarding the plane. This restaurant has delicious papaya salad, it's a bit sour and sweet because I don't eat spicy food, so I really like this menu.

Spicy Thai salad with assorted ingredients served on a tray.

11:50 AM Goodbye Nan city

It's time to board the plane back home. I wish I could stay a little longer, as the time was too short and I only visited a few places. So I've planned to come back again next time and plan my trip better.

In the end, I would like to leave a message to my friends who are still hesitant about whether to travel here and there. Is it beautiful? Is it good? Is it expensive? Will it be cheap?

I think that no matter how beautiful the pictures are, or how much you hear from people who have been there, it's not the same as seeing it with your own eyes.
Don't hesitate, find some free time, pack your bags, grab your camera, and go out and explore the world.
Find happiness for yourself before we have no chance.
If no one goes with us, we can go with ourselves. Alone life is also happy in another way.
This trip was lonely and scary at times, but overall it was a lot of fun and I made some great friends with strangers I had never met before.

Thank you to everyone who followed me to the end. See you in Sukhothai for the next trip.
