Koh Kamtok, or Ao Khao Kwai, is located in the southwest of Laem Son National Park, Suk Samran District, Ranong Province.
It is about 15 kilometers from the coast. The bay is shaped like a half-circle, resembling a buffalo's head, hence the name Ao Khao Kwai.
It is home to a park ranger unit and has a beach about 300 meters long, resembling a large swimming pool.
It is not only the unique and beautiful shape of the beach that captivates visitors, but also the white, fine, and soft sand of Koh Kamtok, which feels like downy fluff. The azure sea water
makes everyone who stands there fall in love. The beach of Koh Kam has a very gentle slope.
You can swim safely as the water is not very deep.
Koh Kamtok offers stunning sunsets that are second to none.

Check in first at the NokAir check-in counter. You can use the new building of Don Mueang Airport, which is very spacious.
However, this trip we will be landing in Surat Thani Province because if we fly directly to Ranong, the flight is very early in the morning.
There is only one direct flight to Ranong per day, and it is on a small plane.
The southern sky is beautiful. Escape the smog from the north.
Arrived safely at Surat Thani Airport on a big bird.
To travel to Koh Kamtok, tourists must book a boat in advance.
You can board the boat at Bang Ben Beach Pier, where there are services from both local villagers and tour companies.
This translates to:
This will be a day trip, as there are currently no accommodations, shops, or restaurants on Koh Kamtok.
The price for a private boat rental is around 2,500-3,000 baht.

The atmosphere at Bang Ben Beach, right at the Bang Ben Beach Pier.
This is the pier where we will board the boat to Koh Kamtok.
The seawater at the pier is already beautiful.
We can start the boat now. It will take some time to travel to Koh Kamtok.
Approximately 40-60 minutes, depending on the waves and wind. The day I went, the waves and wind were quite strong, and it was about to rain.
I couldn't take any pictures while I was on the boat. I wasn't allowed to take my camera out of my bag.
And then we arrived at Koh Kamtok or Ao Khao Kwai.
The first feeling I got when I touched the sand on this island was…
It's incredibly soft, the sand is so fine, it feels like fluffy down.
Walking was a bit difficult, so we had to take off our shoes and walk.
Most of the tourists here are foreigners. There are not many Thai tourists yet.
Upon arriving at the island, it was lunchtime.
An army marches on its stomach. Eat your rice first, then go out and explore.
Beautiful angles on the island.
Today's menu on the island includes fresh steamed crab, delicious grilled squid, the most delicious sour curry, and to finish it off, chilled watermelon and pineapple.
After lunch, it's time to take a walk to digest the food.
Let's take a walk and admire the beauty of Koh Kamtok beach first.
The sand is really soft.
After a short walk below, the island official suggested going up to the Khao Kwai Bay viewpoint.
This viewpoint at Khao Kwai Bay serves as an escape route in the event of a tsunami.
Because in 2004, this island of Koh Kamtok was hit by a tsunami.
The path to the top is not far, only about 200 meters.
However, the path was quite narrow and very steep. In some sections, we even had to climb up ropes.
It works pretty well.
This is the final stretch, the most challenging part. It's the steepest.
Finally reached the viewpoint! The view from here is breathtaking, it's worth the climb.
It's really beautiful. For those of you who are coming to Koh Kamtok, Ao Khao Kwai, don't miss it.
This angle is absolutely stunning. From this viewpoint, you can see the bay curve in the shape of a buffalo's head.
After admiring the beauty of Ao Khao Kwai and resting until fully recovered,
I have to accept the fact that the market is going down again. This downtrend is much more difficult than the uptrend.
Despite the steep and challenging terrain, everyone safely descended from the Khao Kwai Bay viewpoint. We have successfully completed the descent with safety as our top priority.
Continue walking to the west cliff viewpoint, which is on the other side of the island.
which is another beautiful sunset viewing point.
But the day I went, it was raining, the sky was overcast, and there were a lot of clouds.
Before reaching the Pha Ta Wan viewpoint, you will pass the Shell Cemetery.
Walk up to the Pha Ta Wan viewpoint. Look to the right and you will see the Ao Khao Kwai viewpoint.
And the curve of Khao Kwai Bay is beautiful in another way.
Before returning, we played on the beach on the island again, but now the wind was quite strong.
It looks like it's about to rain. The sky is getting dark.
On this trip to the Koh Kam Islands, I only visited Koh Kam Tok, or Ao Khao Kham. I didn't go to Koh Yipun, Koh Khang Khao, or Koh Kam Yai.
It's impossible because the waves are very strong. It's going to rain and the sea level is rising. Nature is not on our side at all.
I'll definitely go back when I have the chance. The Koh Kam islands are amazing, and anyone who goes there will fall in love with them just like I did.
The return trip from the island was very rough. The waves were about 1-2 meters high the whole way. It was intense!
