"Khlong Madeua - Krok Durian Waterfall" in Nakhon Nayok Province is a small stream hidden behind Khao Yai National Park. This route is suitable for those who want to escape the heat from cycling on concrete roads and come to cycle in the forest. Cyclists who have cycled on flat roads but have never cycled into the forest can cycle here. Children can also cycle here. It is very comfortable. It is suitable for beginners to practice using gears before venturing into the big forest.
We took our children for a bike ride on 11/10/57 to test their skills and practice riding on gravel roads before taking them to the real course at Phurakam, Ratchaburi.
We left home at 6 am, stopped for breakfast in Nakhon Nayok city, and arrived at Suan Lung Nai at around 8:30 am. We took the Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok route, heading in the same direction as Wang Takrai. Just past the entrance to Wat Ban Dong, look out for a small sign on the right-hand side that says "Suan Lung Nai". Turn into the alley and follow the signs for about 3 km. We parked our car here. The parking area is shady and safe, and there are also restrooms available. This garden charges a parking fee of only 50 baht per car, which is very reasonable.
With their trusty two-wheeled steeds prepped and ready, the cyclists set off on their adventure at 9:00 AM, eager to explore the open road.
Nong Pan is the first one to start. She's the youngest, the most energetic, and the most determined on every trip.
We're on our way! The kids are so excited about this route. We cycled out to the main road, and when we got there, we walked our bikes across the road and drove towards Wang Trakrai. About 1 kilometer later, there will be a right turn into an alleyway that is a gravel road. We chose to cycle through the cornfield to Khlong Ma Deu. This route is very shady and allows the children to avoid large vehicles.
Let's take a break.
I'm on my way now, cycling through the fresh cornfields. It's truly refreshing.
At this junction, we turn right and cut through the fields to meet the road leading to Khlong Madeua.
555 I haven't even reached 5 kilometers yet. Sai Pan is starting to get tired, so she's going to stop for a drink of water.
Let's continue, just a little further. On our right hand side, there is a stream flowing through. It's refreshing. The children want to stop and play in the water here.
But we haven't reached many destinations yet. Go on, go go go.
Turn right here and you will intersect with Khlong Ma Deua Road. The Khlong Ma Deua route is very shady, with large trees on both sides of the road. The air is humid and cool, it's really comfortable.
Now, Sai Pan doesn't want to rest at all. We had a lot of fun going up and down small hills, practicing using gears, dodging water and potholes. We had a lot of fun and finished at Khlong Nung.
"Oops, the water level is too high. Mom didn't check the water level beforehand. Nong Pan, I've been looking at it for a long time. There's no way we can get through. Can I ride on Dad's back? Dad said it wouldn't work. Let's change our route, son. Let's go to Krok Durian Waterfall instead. Turn around and go back to change the plan."
When you reach the three-way intersection, turn left to return to the main road. However, we will turn right to use the golf course route to go to Krok durian.
Driving on a long slope, passing the reservoir, you will see a small alley on the right. Let me tell you, it's very small, there is no sign, you have to notice it yourself. This route is the one we will use to get to Krok Durian Waterfall. This route requires a fair amount of balance skills. For the children, it was not our intention to bring them here at first, but when we missed Khlong Ma Deua, we thought we would let the children try it out. Let's see how the children do.
We have arrived at Krok Tuarian Waterfall. Sai Pan is exhausted and let go of the steering wheel, causing the car to plunge into the waterfall.
On the way, Pin fell into the mud. We all laughed a lot. So we took the car and sat to wash ourselves in the waterfall. We soaked and played in the water comfortably.
Sai Pan's mother was worried that she would get wet and have to cycle a long way back, so she wouldn't let her play. Sai Pan said, "!!! If I knew, I would have fallen down so I could play in the water." The children then played water with Uncle Preecha and Aunt Pum instead.
This waterfall is not a tourist attraction. People who want to visit must use dirt bikes or bicycles only. This has helped to preserve its natural beauty. The waterfall is truly pristine.
Oh, why is it raining? There is no shelter, it's terrible! But hey, it's fun to be a kid again, so let's just play in the water. That's what Sai Pan wants.
The rain has stopped. Let's pack up and go home. The children have had fun playing in the water, but now they're starting to get tired and don't want to leave.
Bye Bye Grok Durian Waterfall
The return trip was more challenging due to the muddy terrain, but the children had a blast, as you can see in the pictures. On the way back, we made good time, perhaps because the children were getting used to the trails and weaving through each other. Everyone passed with flying colors! We had a lot of fun letting loose.
The translation is:
They came out onto the golf course road. The condition of the car and the condition of each person was terrible.
We let go of the slope and then washed the car, along with washing the mud on our legs at the weir under the bridge.
Ready to cycle back to the parking lot now.
It's getting late, we won't make it to the tubing in time. Pan is already standing over her bike, ready to go. We cycled past the golf course, the atmosphere after the rain was amazing. The smell of the earth and the grass was so refreshing, it's beyond words. Today's rain was a real bonus for the kids.
We arrived at Uncle Nai's garden. The afternoon 3 o'clock closed the bike trip. The total distance of the trip today is 30 kilometers. The children had a lot of fun.
Still not tired, let's go whitewater rafting again. I don't know where they get their energy from. Let's go. We contacted Uncle In here to rent a rubber boat for whitewater rafting. The rental fee is 800 baht per boat for a 10 km whitewater rafting distance. It takes about 2 hours.
The trip ended at almost 6 pm. We really made the most of our time.
