What is it about Koh Samui that makes you want to go there... (This song immediately comes to mind 55+)
Let's get down to business. This was my first trip to Koh Samui, and to be honest, I didn't have much of a plan. My main goals were to see monkeys climbing coconut trees, relax on a wide, white-sand beach, find delicious food, discover beautiful photo spots, and find a nice cafe to hang out and take some more pictures. As you can see, my list wasn't very long. 555 Let's take a look at what I actually experienced during my trip to Koh Samui. (Just to be clear, this isn't a typical review with tons of details. I mainly focused on taking pictures, not necessarily beautiful ones, but just capturing whatever caught my eye. I want to share what I saw and felt during my trip.)

Let's begin...
[Lad Koh Viewpoint]
The first place I went after getting off the plane was to the viewpoint that many reviews said was beautiful, so I stopped by to see it. It was the "Laem Khao Viewpoint" between Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beach. They say it's the most beautiful viewpoint, perfect for watching the sunrise.

After taking photos at the viewpoint, we continued on to another spot, which is a place that many people must know. It is
[Stone Grandfather-Stone Grandmother]
This is a landmark that can be considered another symbol of Koh Samui. Anyone who comes to Koh Samui must stop by to take pictures. At this point, there are 2 rocks that are symbols of the grandfather and grandmother according to the legend (you can try searching for information on Google ><). At this point, there is a beautiful view, clear sea, suitable for people who like to take pictures and like the atmosphere of the blue sea. Along the way to see Hin Ta Hin Yai, there are shops for shoppers and gourmets to choose from.

We were starving after all that walking, so we wasted no time in finding a delicious restaurant to eat at. Our main tool was Google, which we used to search for the best restaurants in Koh Samui. We found one and immediately set off, following the GPS. We ended up at a restaurant called...
[Provisions]
Upon arrival, we ordered a variety of dishes, not because they were the restaurant's signature dishes, but because we were hungry and the weather was hot. The dishes we ordered included stir-fried bai leang with egg, shrimp fried with tamarind sauce, shrimp fried with shrimp paste and young rambutan, and finally, chocolate ice cream mixed with chili to cool down. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is great, with a beachfront location offering stunning sea views for photo opportunities. The food was also delicious.

After eating until I was full, I started to look for a place to sleep and relax. So I traveled to the accommodation (let me tell you, this trip is a #GoTogether trip), so I wanted to find accommodation with a good atmosphere, a beautiful beach, a wide area, and fun activities to play on the beach. So I came across
[Santiburi Samui Beach Resort & Spa]
I did some research before booking a room here. They say it's a resort with a beach so beautiful it's called a world-class beach destination. It's 300 meters long. The rooms are nice and private, like being at home. Plus, the resort has activities to do on the beach, like sailing and kayaking. So I decided without hesitation, let's try it once. When I arrived at the resort, the atmosphere inside was surrounded by coconut trees. The air was cool and comfortable, not hot because there were a lot of trees. After walking around the resort taking pictures of the atmosphere, I went to find some fun activities to do. I went sailing to the middle of the sea to enjoy the view (I must say it was very fun because it was my first time, I sailed and played in the sea until I was soaked). After playing, I lay down to enjoy the sea breeze before taking a shower and having dinner. I sat and watched the sea view with the sky color gradually changing to dark black. After finishing dinner, I still had another mission to go for a walk and take pictures at the Bo Phut Walking Street (Fisherman's Village).

[Fisherman's Village Walking Street]
This street is located in an old fishing community, or what the locals call Fisherman's Village. Along the street, there are shops selling souvenirs, clothes, and restaurants. There are also many nice bars and restaurants along the way, making it a great place for those who enjoy nightlife.

Exhausted from walking, we went back to rest. The next day, we went out again, our destination being to find delicious food and a coffee shop to sit and enjoy the sea view. We came across a restaurant that many people in Koh Samui know, which is a Khanom Jeen restaurant.
[Aunt Maitri's Kanom Jeen Restaurant]
This is a popular noodle shop that everyone who visits Samui must try. Auntie Maitree's shop offers a wide variety of curries, including fish maw curry, chili paste curry, coconut curry, crab curry, and green chicken curry. But the highlight is the crab curry. Anyone who tries it will be hooked and may order another bowl. Auntie Maitree's shop also offers desserts to cleanse your palate. If you're visiting Samui, don't forget to stop by and try it.

After finishing our meal, we set off to find a place to relax and digest our khao soi. A quick Google search revealed a charming seaside cafe with stunning views, so we decided to head there.
[Bakubung Restaurant]
Upon arriving at the shop, the atmosphere was fantastic, especially the sea view behind the shop. It was so beautiful that just sitting there sipping coffee and enjoying the breeze and the surrounding scenery was enough to make you feel good. We spent quite a while there taking photos and admiring the view, and by the afternoon, we were ready to head back to Bangkok.

Before returning, I had the opportunity to pay respects at the temple.
[Big Buddha Temple, Fan Island]
The Big Buddha is a large statue located on the top of Koh Fan Mountain. It can be seen from afar. Anyone who visits Koh Samui will come to pay homage to the Buddha for good luck. On top of that, you can also see the view of Koh Samui. It's worth coming to worship the Buddha and enjoy the view.

I ended my trip to Koh Samui by paying respect to the Buddha and making merit. I felt very fulfilled. In conclusion, even though I didn't get to see everything, I still managed to visit many places during my first trip to Koh Samui. I had a wonderful time. I'd like to thank my travel companions, the new experiences, and nature for creating such beauty for us to experience. If I have the chance, I'll go back and capture the rest of the sights.
