Let's start at the beginning of this trip.

Ta-da!

Paris Versailles

This trip started with a personal desire and just enough money in my account, so I asked my travel buddy if she wanted to go to Paris. She checked her account balance and said yes.

That day, I planned to go and apply for a visa (apply for a visa in Scotland according to this link > https://www.facebook.com/23kmx/posts/935393749890760 The real deal must be selling stuff, there must be ads blocking it, I'm telling you 5555555)

We didn't take a plane because

1) I don't like small planes. If I want to go cheap, like really cheap (maximum £40 if I book well in advance), I have to fly RyanAir, which is also a small plane. It's shaky, I'm scared. ._.

Part 2) is the bag is big because it's not just going to Paris, it's going to Romania too, so there's a big bag in one (which 80% of it is ours) and a carry-on bag for each person, so we thought it would be better to take the train. Plus, it was on our bucket list before we came (taking the Eurostar to Europe).

The cost of overweight baggage may be more than the cost of the seat itself.

Total damage:

- £163 (approximately 8,000 baht/person for new train tickets to Paris and London, as we missed the first train)

I think if I had taken a plane from the beginning, it might have been less of a disaster. ._.

After a three-hour train ride, I arrived at my destination, and the excitement began immediately.

The first highlight was having three bags and having to take the metro (subway) to the hotel.

The train station is located northeast of Paris. The hotel is located southwest.

Since we're already here, let's fight it out. It's past nine o'clock by the time we reach the hotel. It's so tiring.

Plus, the ticket purchase system is confusing. I don't know which type of ticket to buy, so I bought individual tickets for €1.8 each (in this part of Europe, they use commas and periods interchangeably, so this is the same as 1.8). Just so you know, so you don't get confused.

For those who want to travel to Paris on a budget, I recommend bringing a pain reliever. I'm so sore! My bag is also not light, it weighs over 20 kg. I'm not usually muscular, but now I feel like a bodybuilder.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the staff didn't speak English. I was exhausted from the journey and had to resort to sign language. However, I noticed a sign that said they spoke Spanish, so I asked if they did in Spanish. They replied that they did, and we communicated in Spanish from then on.

The hotel is located at Pernery Station on Line 13 (blue). Walk out and you will see it right away.

Total booking for 3 nights, including all damages, is €230 (for two people) or approximately 9,000 baht.

The Hotel L'Oasis can be booked on Booking.com at:

Another highlight was when I arrived at the hotel, unpacked my bags, and was hungry. What to do? It was one in the morning, and everything was closed. The only option was delivery. When I asked Google, the first thing that came up was Japanese food. Did I order it? Of course I did.

We use the network of 3 (three) in England. It can be used here for free (and in many other countries too). You can make calls, use the internet and 4G is also available.

When I called, they spoke English, which felt like a godsend. I ordered and gave them my address, saying I would pay in cash. The total cost of the food was around 23€, which is about 1,000 Thai baht. Did my hand shake when I paid? Let me tell you, it did. How much? Enough to pay for four or five pieces of mediocre sushi, a plate of chicken teriyaki, and a cup of miso soup. That much. T_________T/

Album cover must come

Today, I dragged myself out of bed just in time for the hotel breakfast, which closes at 10 am (breakfast costs €9, so I couldn't miss it TT/).

With the price and expectations of an omelette (Omlette du fromage, right?), I put on makeup and went to eat. When I arrived, I said hello and ordered two croissants, half a baguette, a glass of orange juice and a glass of milk.

But yeah, breakfast, it'll be noon soon

After finishing my meal, I went upstairs to check the list of places to visit today and the weather outside. It turned out to be 5 degrees (I checked before coming and it was definitely 10+ degrees, the weather changes so often, all the clothes I brought were skirts, I cried for a bit).

Sometimes we think, after being in England for so long, shivering through many winters, how cold could Paris, the capital city, possibly be?

Hehe

Places:

1. Notre-Dame

2. Louvre Museum

3. Le Marais (Kraft Hotdog)

4. Eiffel Tower

Many thanks to Worada E. for her advice on traveling to Paris and for being an impromptu interpreter in times of need. I might not have made it to the airport without her. Thank you so much!

Take line 13 (light blue) from Pernety station (hotel) and change to line 10 (yellow) at Duroc station. Then change to line 4 (purple) again at Odéon station to get off at St-Michel Notre-Dame station.

As I emerged from the metro, I was greeted by a breathtaking view and refreshing air. However, as soon as I crossed the street towards the riverside, I was swarmed by street vendors. Some offered me prizes in exchange for my signature, while others tried to sell me Eiffel Tower keychains. They even followed me for a while. I quickly made my way to Notre Dame to escape the chaos. :<

Of course, there were a lot of people, even though I went early in the morning. There were still people who went earlier. At first, I was going to walk to the other side to take pictures, but because it was getting late, I hurried to line up to enter the Louvre, so I didn't walk around. (._.)/

I opened City Mapper and it didn't seem far. The app said it was about a 10-minute walk. Since the weather wasn't too cold (yet), we decided to walk. But honestly, the views we saw while walking were worth it.

So beautiful that I had to cross the street to take a picture, forgetting for a moment that I had to hurry to join the queue at the Louvre.

The weather is getting colder and colder. I wore a skirt because it wasn't that cold in the morning. It's a good thing I'm still wearing tights. I checked before I left that it wasn't going to be too cold. Why is it suddenly so cold? Why are you teasing me? I'm so sad. :<

On the way, I saw many things that I didn't know what they were. When I wrote it down, I sat down and googled to find out where I was (that's where the awkwardness is, right?). I walked past Sainte-Chapelle but didn't go in because the line was so long and I was already feeling tired. I remember it was around 10am at that time, which was brutal. I don't know how early the first person in line got there. (._.)/

Following City Mapper's instructions, she told us to walk straight ahead and we would find the Louvre. We walked straight for a long time, about 10 minutes, but we couldn't find it. However, the atmosphere was very good, there were not many cars, not many people, and the buildings were very beautiful.

I walked around and got lost, walking back and forth many times until I ended up behind the Louvre Palace (which I asked a French friend and she said it was the French Parliament, which is not true -_______- You made me lost, damn it) and I didn't know where I was. City Mapper said I was already there, this is the Louvre! This is the Louvre! I was like, where's the pyramid? Huh? Where? The app is wrong! I remember arguing with my phone for a long time (-_-)/ until I saw people walking through the door, so I walked in too.

And there we were, in the middle of the stunning Cour Carrée. It was absolutely breathtaking (we'll just ignore the overly pushy selfie stick sellers who made us want to take a quick photo and run).

I didn't take a picture because I was busy taking a video. This one is blurry because I took a screenshot from the video again. I'm going to make a Vlog, but I have to see how lazy I am first.

Walking past this square is the Louvre Pyramid!! Oh my, I'm finally here! I'm so excited!

I've always wanted to see the real Liberty Leading the People, but the crowds were so overwhelming that I gave up. Then, out of the blue, the weather turned cold, forcing me to seek refuge in the Louvre's gift shop (cue the inevitable spending). In the end, I bought a postcard of Liberty Leading the People and a statue of Nike of Samothrace instead.

It was around 11 am, which was already late to enter the Louvre. Judging by the number of people, I wasn't sure if I would be able to get in by 1 pm. :<

Look at the number of people! The line hasn't moved an inch. I'm going to cry.

I thought I would come back early tomorrow morning, like seven or eight o'clock, and sleep here before going to Versailles. I'm so sad, I really wanted to see it. T_T

After a satisfying shopping spree, I took the metro to Le Marais. My original plan was to shop like Queen J (Jessica Jung, With Love album is out now, the FLY MV is top-notch #shamelessplug), but since it was already noon, I decided to grab lunch as well. I heard that the hot dogs at Kraft are delicious.

A short walk from the Louvre is the Châtelet metro station, which is just one stop from the Hôtel de Ville.

I've taken the metro many times before, riding for eight or nine stations without any problems. But this time, just riding for one station, I ended up getting my pocket picked. The man behind me whispered, "Pocket! Pocket!" I turned around and asked, "Pardon?" He pointed at my bag, and I was confused. When I turned back, my passport and wallet were lying on the floor! I was so shocked, I quickly picked them up and checked my belongings. My cards were all there, my passport was there, and my student visa was there. But what wasn't there was my 50€ bill. Thankfully, I only had that much cash on me (I mostly use cards). It was also a good thing I was holding my phone in my hand because I was transferring photos from my camera to my phone to send to my mom.

So sad, I'm also annoyed. This is so frustrating, walking around Le Marais isn't fun at all.

I was going to take some cute photos like Queen Jess, but it's cold. If I walk to the Hôtel de Ville, it will be cold and windy. And I'm wearing a skirt.

So I walked over to eat a hot dog, feeling kind of bummed out.

(Photo taken with a mobile phone because I was too lazy to take out the camera. I didn't edit it either. Sorry. ._.)

When I arrived at the shop, the atmosphere was great. The salesperson was very friendly and saw that we were tourists, so they started chatting with us. When I told them about my pickpocketing experience, they said that there are a lot of people like that in the metro near tourist attractions. They said not to worry, as many customers have had the same experience. They target tourists because they know they have a lot of cash on them. (I was so annoyed! I'm in England, I use a card, duh!)

I heard the staff were friendly, and combined with a temporary bout of frustration, I ended up eating 4 hot dogs (don't judge me :<).

Where to go in Paris?

I'm in Paris now and I have to go to the Eiffel Tower. But I'm not going to take the metro anymore, I'm taking Uber instead. I'm so annoyed, I called Uber right away. Ugh.

What is the real Eiffel Tower like?

It's a very tall steel tower. I mean, I knew it was tall, but when I saw it in person, it was much taller than I thought. At first, I thought I would go up, but when I saw it, I said goodbye to the number of people, goodbye to the height, and goodbye to the fact that I had to book in advance.

If you think about it, if you take a picture from above and you don't see the Eiffel Tower, would you know it's Paris? Well, maybe not. Since the Eiffel Tower is already a symbol of Paris, right? Okay.

The view of the Seine River from the Trocadéro station balcony is breathtaking. It's so beautiful, I love it! It's the most beautiful thing ever.

Talking to my sister (she goes to Paris often), she told me the best view of the Eiffel Tower is from the Trocadéro metro station. There's a balcony there, and looking from the Eiffel Tower, it's like a mountain you have to climb stairs to get to the balcony. It's like climbing a mountain again. I'm going to cry for a bit. (T_T)/

Note: The pigeon wouldn't budge. She wanted to be a model. She posed for a long time. We took pictures of the Eiffel Tower, pictures of us with the Eiffel Tower, and pictures of other people with the Eiffel Tower, but she was still there.

Is the view worth it? Absolutely! Highly recommended. If you're in Paris and planning to visit the Eiffel Tower, get off at the École Militaire station, which is opposite Trocadéro, with the Eiffel Tower in between. Then walk from that station across the river to the Trocadéro metro station. This will give you a panoramic view of the Champ de Mars, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River, the Trocadéro Gardens, and the view from the balcony itself.

Due to the extreme cold, I called an Uber back to the hotel. That's the end of the day.

A day in Versailles

Bienvenidos a la fiesta de la torta.

I woke up late on the third day, around 9:00 am, so I missed the Louvre. I didn't have enough time. Maybe next trip if I have the chance. ._.

Due to being extremely lazy, to the point of being the laziest I've ever been, I decided not to eat breakfast (to be honest, I'm a little sad about it, I thought for a long time about whether to waste nine euros. Ugh, it's so expensive).

The hotel owner, an elderly lady, knocked on my door at ten o'clock with a breakfast tray. It had everything: croissants, hot milk, cold milk, orange juice, butter, and jam. I was so happy! T_____T/

After eating, showering, and getting dressed, I called an Uber to the St-Michel Notre-Dame metro station, the same old place. But this time, I walked to the RER station, which is the train that runs around the outskirts of Paris. I bought a ticket from the ticket machine for 4 euros round trip, and I got two tickets. Be careful not to mix them up.

After buying the ticket, I stood waiting for the train. I was confused because the line to Versailles was RER C, and I didn't know which train was the C. I stood there for a while, getting increasingly confused. After about 20 minutes, I started to get worried and went to ask an employee. The employee pointed behind me... the board showing the train was behind me, and I hadn't seen it. I had already missed two trains. -___-

Note: I had the best Escargot ever at Le Boeuf a la mode. Here's the link from Tripadvisor https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187148-d776661-Reviews-Le_Boeuf_a_la_mode-Versailles_Yvelines_Ile_de_France.html

It's so good, everyone!

As you exit the station, cross the street towards Starbucks (the black building is the train station, and the photo shows you crossing the street and standing with your back to Starbucks). From here, face Starbucks and walk to the left, then turn right. You will see a wide, straight path with trees on both sides. Follow this path to the end, and you will see the parking lot in front of the Palace of Versailles.

As you walk further, you will see a statue of King Louis XIV, the longest-reigning monarch in European history (72 years and 110 days). There is a belief that if the horse in the equestrian statue is rearing up on its hind legs, it signifies that the king died in battle. If the horse is only lifting one leg, it means the king was injured but died from another cause. King Louis XIV died on September 1, 1715, shortly before the French Revolution.

Note: King Louis XIV was not Marie Antoinette's husband. She was married to Louis XVI, who was the grandson of Louis XIV. However, she did live in the Palace of Versailles. King Louis XVI built a small palace for her in the middle of the Gran Trianon garden (the palace's back garden, which is huge, it takes about an hour to drive around it in a golf cart). It's called the Petit Trianon. I actually have a picture of it, but it's not very good. I took it while driving the train, and the image is blurry. I'll wait for the video instead. ._.

We go on Monday .......

How sad, tell meee T______T

With the palace closed, all we could do was stroll through the palace gardens. Let me tell you, those gardens are so big that it takes an hour to drive around them in a golf cart -_____-

The Apollo Basin

Translation:

(The Fountain of Apollo)

The Apollo Basin

King Louis XIV ordered the enlargement of the fountain to accommodate a statue of Apollo, the sun god. This was fitting, as Louis XIV was known as the Sun King.

The main theme of the garden is the ancient Greek gods. Both sides of the path from the palace down to the pond are decorated with statues of gods from ancient Greek mythology. It's very beautiful. If you have time, I recommend going there. You can bring food for a picnic too. The atmosphere is very good (if it's not cold). I only have these pictures because I was busy taking videos.

On the way back, we took the RER back to Invalides station (we've been reading it as "In-ba-li-des" for a long time, so people didn't understand when we asked for directions. But after asking our French friend Ek, ... he said it was "Anvalide". Thanks again, Mewora. ._.) We'll meet .... Tom!! Oops, not him. Leonardo DiCaprio! Oops, not him either.

What I encountered was the Pont Alexandre III, a famous bridge that has been used in countless films, including Inception and Midnight in Paris. It was absolutely stunning. I previously mentioned that I wasn't particularly fond of Paris due to the crowds, but I must retract that statement. This place is both beautiful and serene. While it's likely even more breathtaking during the day, the nighttime view is equally captivating. Oh my, it's simply magnificent! If you walk a little further, you can capture both the bridge and the Eiffel Tower in your photos. It's beyond incredible. If you're looking for a place to enjoy the夜景, I highly recommend this spot. It's truly exceptional.

It's black and white because I tried to adjust the colors and it didn't look good, so it's just black and white. Super dramatic.

All gone.

This trip was not enjoyable because after I got my pocket picked on the first day, plus the prices of many things were ridiculously expensive, it made me lose all interest.

._.

However, it's time for our main sponsor.
