This is due to the long weekend that just passed, which gave me 3 days and 2 nights of free time.

I've seen reviews of Doi Ang Khang before and I've been wanting to go for a long time.

Now's your chance!! But wait, who climbs a mountain during the rainy season? ..

After doing some research, many people say that visiting Ang Khang during the rainy season is possible.

So I wanted to go and see for myself. They say that Ang Khang has very good weather all year round.

I wonder if what they say is true.

This plan was thought out about 1 month before the travel date.

Book flights >> This trip is with Thai Smile for a little over 2,000 baht.

(Since it was a public holiday, the ticket price was not as cheap as expected. Oh well.)

We left early in the morning. The plane took off at 7:00 am and arrived in Chiang Mai at around 8:20 am.

I had already booked a rental car before arriving. As soon as I arrived at Chiang Mai Airport, I looked for the counter to pick up the car.

I'm really worried about the car because I booked it at the last minute.

The company is still unsure whether they will get a Suzuki Swift or a Toyota Vios, but hey, it's better than having no car at all.

Booked it first. In the end, I got a Suzuki Ciaz with a 1.25-liter engine.

(I'm secretly worried if I can make it up the mountain - -'))

The journey to Ang Khang ..

Travel

- If you don't have a private car, you need to take a red taxi from the airport to Chang Phuak Bus Terminal.

From here, you can take a tour bus or van to Wat Hat Samran, where you will find a bus stop to take you up to Ang Khang.

The cost of transportation varies: red taxis charge 40 baht, buses charge 85 baht, and vans charge 150 baht.

To get to Ang Khang, you'll need to take a shared songthaew. Hopefully, there will be other people to share the cost with you.

Round trip is about 1,200 baht. We calculated that there are 4 of us, so it's better to drive ourselves. It's worth it.

Since I've already rented a car, :]

- Travel by private car

There are 2 routes

Route 1 to Doi Ang Khang at Wat Hat Samran, Km 137

From Chiang Mai city, take the Chiang Mai-Fang route (Highway 107) to the entrance of Doi Ang Khang at Wat Hat Samran, Km 137 (Ban Pang Kwai intersection). Turn left onto Highway 1249, which is quite steep.

Route 2 to Doi Ang Khang at Chiang Dao District, Km 79

From Chiang Mai city, take the Chiang Mai-Fang route (Highway 107) and continue until you reach Chiang Dao district. At kilometer 79, you will find a junction (Route 1). Turn left and pass through Muang Ngai Subdistrict, Ban Arunotai, and Ban Luang. The road is relatively narrow but not steep.

I'll choose route 2 then. It should be easier and Ciaz won't get too tired.

About 80 kilometers from the entrance to Doi.

In summary, it's not too difficult, but it would be better if there was a car with a more powerful engine.

This is like pushing a car up a mountain 555+

The light rain will allow you to see the fog like this.

The view on both sides of the road is lush and green, very pleasing to the eye.

We've arrived at Angkhang!

Check in to your accommodation first.

Accommodation: When booking, call the accommodation at the Angkhang Royal Agricultural Station.

It turns out it's full! The staff told me that their accommodation is booked months in advance.

Because it's very cheap and good.

So we ended up finding another place to stay, "Baan Pak Lau Ting".

It will have a Chinese feel, a bit like a teahouse.

Our group of 4 people has a room that can accommodate 4 people for 1,000 baht per night.

The room is clean, airy, has electrical outlets, a TV, but no refrigerator.

The bathroom has a gas water heater.

Overall, I am very satisfied. It is truly affordable and good quality.

After checking in and putting our bags away, we forgot to mention that we arrived at Ang Khang around 1 pm.

Departed from Chiang Mai Airport at 9:00 AM, taking a total of 4 hours.

They say that the food at the agricultural station is very delicious. I have to try it myself.

Entrance fee is 50 baht per person, car fee is another 50 baht. Total for 4 people and 1 car is 250 baht.

I haven't seen any flowers yet, let's go to the restaurant first.

The restaurant will be located within the Ang Khang Club.

The atmosphere is very good. The temperature right now at 13.30 is around 20 degrees.

Brown rice 80.- per jar

Stir-fried King Oyster Mushroom in Green Curry 90.-

This menu is amazing! I love it! The flavors are bold and flavorful, but not too spicy.

Appetizer + Northern Thai chili dip (choose between northern Thai chili dip or fermented soybean dip) 100.-

Crispy Vegetable Salad from Ang Khang 80.-

Deep-fried Kale with Fish Sauce 80.-

After eating savory food until we were full (veryyyy full), we had to continue with dessert.

Banana spring rolls 40.- with peach in syrup 40.-

((Did 4 people really eat this?!?)) Very full, very delicious, very impressed!

Today's bill came to 680 baht, which is about 170 baht per person. It was super worth it, we ate until we were full. Then we had to go to sleep, oops, I mean, not really.

Let's go for a walk in the agricultural station and see what the atmosphere has to offer.

Garden 8o is located directly opposite the club. It features a variety of flowers.

Drive on to the Plum Garden

During the rainy season, the plum trees may not have beautiful flowers for you to take pictures of.

Just soaking in the lush atmosphere is enough to make you feel amazing.

The rain has started to fall. Where should we drive to next?

Our next destination is oooo

2000 Tea Plantation, drive out from Angkhang Agricultural Station, find a map on Google Maps

Driving back from Ang Khang, Rai Cha 2000 will be on the left hand side before reaching Ban Nor Lae.

At first, I almost got lost. Google Maps took us somewhere we didn't recognize.

After circling back, we asked the villagers again.

The first image that I saw from the tea plantation's viewpoint was like this.

It feels so worth it, even after a 4-hour journey by plane and car.

There are views for portraits like this.

The current temperature, according to the car's thermometer, is 18 degrees.

On the way, I met 3 hill tribe people and asked them to take a picture.

The view of the tea plantation is magnificent, with cascading terraces like steps.

Being a couple is sweet, isn't it? :p

Walking down the tea plantation, I came across a small hut where this creature was living.

Indulge in the breathtaking views and take a deep breath at the 2000 Rai Tea Plantation.

Let's go back to the village.

We will return. The old woman from the mountains also walked back.

Due to the rainy season, it was drizzling and foggy all the time. But luckily, when we went to

No heavy rain at all.

At Ang Khang, we will see horses walking around like stray dogs on the side of the road.

Shops in Ang Khang ..

Most shops sell similar items, such as dried fruits.

There are strawberries, kiwis, cherries, prunes, carrots, tomatoes, longans, etc.

And then there are various nuts, such as roasted almonds, macadamia nuts, pistachios, etc.

You should try the food at each shop, as some of them may have a slightly stale taste. You should choose carefully before trying them.

Follow us here https://www.facebook.com/beforeyougothere/ **Time flies like a lie. It's 6 pm again in a blink of an eye.

It's time for dinner, isn't it?

While checking in at the accommodation in Lauthing, I caught a glimpse of the name of the shop across the street.

"Ting Ting Phochana" is a Yunnan Chinese restaurant. Let's give it a try.

Pork leg must be served with steamed buns.

The steamed buns at this shop are incredibly soft, sweet, and delicious.

Overall, our gang agreed that the food was a bit too oily.

It's Chinese food, so it's not really to my taste.

But now that you're here, I recommend trying the Manchow Braised Pork Leg. Time flies like an arrow... In the blink of an eye, it's already past nine.

Doi Ang Khang still retains much of its natural beauty and local charm.

It's good that there are no lights or sounds late at night, so I can go back to sleep and get a good night's sleep.

We agreed with the gang to wake up at 5 am to watch the sunrise together.

.......5 am........

Get everyone out of bed ((I'd like to compliment the blankets at the Lauthing guesthouse for a moment

It's so soft and thick, even though it's not winter, the weather is still this cold.

But the blanket makes us not want to get up. It's so warm. ))

Don't worry about showering or anything, let's go watch the sunrise first.

We will go to the Ban Khop Dong viewpoint, driving the same way as the 2000 tea plantation.

There will be a fork in the road to Ban Khop Dong.

Where??? The sun I've been waiting until after 6 am and still haven't seen it.

In short, the clouds are blocking the view. - -

But it doesn't matter, the view at Baan Khop Dong is stunning, just as they say.

Where is the fat cat?

Back in the village, we had breakfast at Ting Ting Restaurant, the same place as before.

The reason is that other shops are not open yet.

Coffee, tea, and Ovaltine are available for self-service.

Hot pan-fried egg

Mushroom porridge

Enjoy with oolong tea.

When the weather is good, everything is good. It's true.

The villagers are shopping.

After breakfast, we returned to our accommodation, showered, changed, and packed our bags.

Before leaving the mountain, I stopped by the coffee shop at the agricultural station for one last round.

Looking out from the coffee shop, you will see a flower garden like this.

Time to get off the mountain! 1 night and 1 day on Doi Ang Khang.

It's incredibly impressive.

Benefits of visiting Ang Khang during the rainy season

1. There aren't many people at all, no crowding whatsoever. You can walk anywhere and feel comfortable and relaxed.

2. The weather is very good. The weather is considered very good all year round.

The rainy season will not be unbearably cold, staying at a comfortable 17-22 degrees Celsius.

3.Mist The rain makes us see a light mist.. Beautiful.

4. We think that the rainy season has its own charm, even though there may not be beautiful flowers to see.

But when the rain stops and the sun comes out, it's so warm.

5. Easy and convenient driving, as it is not the high season, there are not many cars and no traffic jams.

Easy access to the mountain

This concludes my lengthy review of Ang Khang.
