Pattaya, Pattaya, Pattaya again? Some of you may be tired of hearing this name, but for our family, we are excited. Because that means we get to relax together. And this time, my family and I will take you to experience a hotel that is known for families, which is...

Holiday Inn Pattaya

This is not my first time in Pattaya. Counting this time, I've probably been here more than 10 times this year. I've been here on my own, with friends, and even on a secret getaway with my wife. The Holiday Inn Pattaya, the two tall buildings next to each other on the North Pattaya beachfront, is a place some of you may know or have passed by. But today, I'm going to take you on a deeper dive into this place. The information may not be complete, but it's filled with the joy and happiness of my family.

Our family arrived in Pattaya at two o'clock in the afternoon. We parked our car under the Bay Tower building and headed straight to the lobby to check in. Normally, the hotel allows check-in at three o'clock, but as an IHG member, I was able to check in early.

Moms and dads, please fill out the check-in documents after your arrival. For those who have booked a Family Suite room, you will receive a blue dolphin doll and a coloring book set for your children to play with. My daughter loves it! The blue dolphin doesn't have a name yet. You can help name it on the hotel's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/HolidayInnPTY or website http://www.holidayinn-pattaya.com/th/. Whoever comes up with the most creative and fitting name will win a 3-day, 2-night stay in a Family Suite room!

The staff informed us that the room was not yet ready, so we went to wait at the Flow Café, which is on the same floor as the lobby. While we were ordering drinks, let's take a look at the lobby. The lobby is decorated in earth tones, giving it an underwater feel. Although this building has been open for a long time, the sofas still look new and well-maintained.

After exploring for a while, we returned to the flow café. The drinks we ordered, a watermelon and mango smoothie, were refreshing. My daughter started coloring in her coloring book and named the dolphin sticker "Omega". After a while, my daughter started to get restless.

Flow Cafe
Open from 6 am to 5 pm, offering cakes and drinks. After 7 pm, cakes are 50% off. Don't miss out on this great deal! There are also Mac computers and tables available for you to chat and work. The cafe is always bustling with customers.

While waiting for the room, I took my daughter to the 4th floor, which is the kid's club, swimming pool, and breakfast room. I must say that we spent more than 50% of our stay on this floor. Here are some sample pictures. We only played at the kid's club for a short while before the room was ready. We went up to put our things away and relax.

Family Suite

Our room is located on the 7th floor. There are only 3 rooms of this type. When we opened the door, my daughter was very excited because she had never stayed in a room like this before.
I believe that there are very few rooms like this that would make children, especially my daughter, so excited. The bright and colorful room also caught her attention.
The room is fully equipped with entertainment facilities designed with children in mind, making it especially suitable for families.

But don't worry, if you and your parents need some privacy, just open the door to another room connected to the suite. The room offers a clear view of Pattaya, and the bathroom has a bathtub for soaking. Soak in the water while looking at the view through the glass - it's so romantic!

Let's talk about the beds. The housekeeper here has made the bed very tightly, it's super comfortable. My daughter's battery started to run out, so she fell asleep right away after playing for a while. I took this opportunity to show everyone the other types of rooms.

Ocean View King Suite

This room is perfect for couples looking to relax or honeymoon. It has a large living room, separate from the bedroom, with a balcony for both rooms. The living room is so big you could run around in it, and it has a full view of the sea. The Ocean View King Suite is definitely not to be outdone by any other room. Of course, there's a bathtub with a view of the sea, just as luxurious as you'd expect from a suite.

Superior Ocean View

This room guarantees a clear view of the sea, with nothing to obstruct your view. This is because the room is located on a high floor. Some rooms have a bathtub, while others do not. To be sure, it is recommended to confirm with the hotel before booking. The room comes with either a single bed or a double bed. The advantage of this room that I would like to share with everyone who is interested is that if you are coming with friends or family, you can request a connecting room. Just by crossing the door, you will be able to visit each other easily.

Straight couple

Single bed

Deluxe

This room is located in the Executive Tower, offering stunning views of Pattaya City from the balcony. The interior design is distinctly different from the Bay building, featuring brightly colored sofas perfect for relaxing and admiring the ocean and Pattaya Beach. Please note that this room does not have a bathtub.

Let's take a look at the room details.

All room types will receive the same toiletries and have a work desk, iron, and kettle.

The pillows come in two options for your comfort, both soft and firm.

Swimming pool

After exploring the room, the next activity was one that all the children loved and eagerly awaited: the swimming pool. Both children and parents played in the pool, and the atmosphere was completely different from the adult pool. The children's pool seemed to be full of happiness and fun, filled with the laughter of parents and the excited squeals of children running and playing. It was a scene of pure joy.

For those who want to sip cocktails, lie down and listen to music while watching the sunset, you should go to the lower pool.

Terrazzo Restaurant

Opening hours

Monday - Thursday 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM Friday - Saturday and Public Holidays 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sunday 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM

The Intaleia restaurant is located at the front of the hotel, next to the beach road. The atmosphere is lively, with people walking by.

Let's take a look at the menu that our family loves the most, which is the HAVANA PLATTER UNO. It has chicken satay, sun-dried pork, shrimp spring rolls, and shrimp spring rolls, all of which are truly delicious.

BBQ PORK SPARE RIBS are so tender that they practically fall off the bone. You barely need to use any effort to eat them.

The HIP SPECIAL NO.3 UGLY DUCKLING pizza and the Tom Yum Kung pizza were a little less popular with our family. This is because they arrived later, after we had already been busy with the first menu and the pork ribs, and we were almost full. But we didn't let that stop us, and we managed to finish half a tray.

After a satisfying meal, it was time to head back to the room. On the way, we heard music coming from the Hanava Bar. We went in and saw people dancing.

After checking into the room, we went to see the lights of Pattaya and took some photos. This city never sleeps! Then we took another shower and went to bed. Today, the three of us slept in the whale room. The adults also wanted to have a cute atmosphere like this. My daughter was very happy. She couldn't stop talking until she fell asleep. Mom fell asleep before her daughter.

Leave the suite empty tonight. Good night.

Good morning everyone! Today we have an activity at the Kids' Club: making cupcakes! But before we get started, let's have breakfast first.
The breakfast room is located on the 4th floor, the same floor as the swimming pool and Kids' Club. There's a wide variety of food to choose from, including Thai, Chinese, international, and Vietnamese cuisine.
However, my favorite menu is the noodle soup. I had it both days. You can check it out in the link. The taste is pretty good.

What's special is that there's a separate corner for kids, and there are also tools to help them stay still, such as crayons and picture paper. This is a big help for parents.

Kids Club Bay Tower

Kids Club Executive Tower

I took my daughter to the kids' club. At first, she said she didn't want to do it, but after a lot of coaxing, she finally agreed. I think she saw the other kids doing it, so she gave in.
Before we started, we filled out some details. Then, we put on aprons and chose the cake we wanted to make. A teacher explained and demonstrated the process to us.
My daughter was very focused, which made me happy. The atmosphere was filled with smiles and laughter from the children and their parents.
When we were finished, we took a記念写真 as a souvenir.

The cupcake making activity takes place every Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kids' Club. It is free of charge for guests staying at the hotel. Reservations are recommended as we have limited spaces. The person who makes the most beautiful cupcake will receive a certificate. My daughter wasn't satisfied with just one activity. She continued to play with the bead loom in the Kids' Club for 3 hours. Time flew by. The other activities change depending on the day.

East Coast Kitchen Restaurant

Looking at the clock, it's 1 p.m. Time for lunch! Today, we're taking you to the East Coast Kitchen restaurant. Open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The reason I chose to eat here is because they have a "Little Ones" menu. If parents order food, their children can eat for free. Each menu item has been developed in collaboration with Nutrition Australia, which provides consultation. Each menu item has been reviewed to ensure that all children receive adequate nutritional value. The variety of food, every meal must be beneficial and sufficient, and add color to make it more appealing to children.

The adult menu is just as good as the children's menu. Chef Ian guarantees the deliciousness of the stir-fried dishes. The menu includes Tom Yum Goong, grilled pork, and stir-fried dishes. This menu is very satisfying. Yes, the Hat Yai fried chicken is delicious and doesn't cater to foreigners.

After finishing the meal, my daughter's eyelids started to droop. She must be very tired after the excitement of the morning. I took her upstairs to sleep.
When she woke up, we took her to play in the water again. We spent two days like this, with the swimming pool, toys, cartoons, and sweets that are synonymous with children.
For dinner, we had to go to the Executive Tower building.

BBQ Seafood buffet

A full range of seafood is served, including shrimp, shellfish, crab, fish, and mantis shrimp. The buffet line offers a variety of dishes, from sushi to various salads, desserts, and fruits. The highlight is the ETE ice cream, which you can order at the grill bar or scoop yourself.

I want some beautiful pictures, so I asked Save to arrange it. I'll take pictures with the sunset and show off to my friends, haha.

After finishing my meal, I returned to my room. Another day has passed with activities such as eating, sleeping, and playing. I haven't had much time to update my social media while I'm here. I have a full day to spend with my family because there are always activities for us to do together. The next morning was the same as the previous one. We woke up early, ate breakfast, went to the kids' club, and then returned.

The following images depict the atmosphere throughout the three days and two nights that our family spent relaxing and participating in activities together. This trip was a lot of fun and happiness, even though we didn't get much sleep and had to wake up early. However, it was a different kind of happiness.

I must admit that this place pays close attention to the needs of children.

This is why I haven't gone anywhere for 3 days and 2 nights.

1. The adorably designed rooms are sure to capture the attention of even the pickiest child.
2. The family-friendly common areas include a kids' club, swimming pool, souvenirs, a dolphin mascot, and coloring books.
3. Kids under 12 stay and eat for free when sharing a room with their parents. No additional charges apply, but the maximum is two children per room. They can also enjoy free meals from the kids' menu in the designated hotel restaurant. Just make sure an adult orders a full-priced meal for each child. So, if you have two kids, and both parents order a full-priced meal, both kids can eat for free.

In the end, there's nothing really to complain about here. There were a few things, but I chose to overlook them. I'm happy with what I got in return. My daughter and wife are happy, and we got a lot of family photos. We're going home with beautiful family photos as souvenirs. Happy family trip!
