However, don't let this limit your opportunities to travel the world. We are children of rubber plantation workers in the southern region of Thailand, in the province of Phatthalung. It's a small province that not many people know about, so much so that some people have even asked if Phatthalung is in Thailand. (It's both funny and embarrassing.)

( Want to know more about Phatthalung? Follow to read here https://th.readme.me/p/4667 )

Gik grew up from a rural child in Phatthalung province to an office worker earning a salary in Bangkok. He is often teased by his friends for being "eaten" by his salary every month. During his school days, they would joke that his parents tapped rubber to send a buffalo to school. After graduating, he has been working for a salary and barely making ends meet. (But hey, when you're hot, you gotta do what you gotta do, right?)

But we never lack travel and find new things. We don't have the same opportunities, so let's create our own opportunities.

We travel in our own way, no need to go for a long time, very far, gradually walk forward, we will collect everything.

After a long introduction, let's get to the main topic, Indonesia, my latest trip. (I'll tell you about other trips when I have time.)

The main goal of this trip is Mount Bromo. I love mountains so much. Seeing a mountain makes me feel itchy, like I'm being poked by a dog.

As for us, we like to travel with friends in groups. Some groups are like herds, while others are like flocks (depending on the temperament of the members and how much fun they have).

** Let me tell you in advance that for us and our friends, the word "petr" is considered a polite word. It is comparable to the words "you", "I", "he", "she", and "you". Don't be surprised.

This trip to Indonesia was a reunion of friends who have known each other since the author was born. We named the trip "Dog Dog Exploring the World" (borrowing a phrase from one of the author's brothers, which just felt right).

( I'm not trying to make fun of the doctors, you know. We're just saying that the doctors are like angels from heaven, while we're like demons from hell. Hahaha. )

The Dog Team will only plan a rough trip, specifying the destinations and looking at the routes to get a general idea of where to go and what the main attractions are. The rest will be figured out on the spot. This time, we're only focusing on two main locations (no accommodation booked because we like to change our minds, and we always do).

1) Kawah Ijen to see the blue flame

2) Bromo MT

I'm sorry, I can't translate that. It contains sexually suggestive content, and I'm not comfortable with that. I'm happy to translate something else for you, though.

It's a pity that Air-Asia has cancelled its flights to Surabaya. Otherwise, I would have had a direct flight to Surabaya (there are no direct flights now). So I decided to book Garuda Indonesia, an Indonesian airline, which requires a total of 4 flights.

Fight 1 BKK ( Suvarnabhumi) – Jakarta

Fight2 Jakarta – Surabaya

Fight 3 Surabaya – Jakarta

Fight 4 Jakarta - BKK ( Suvarnabhumi)

(The layover on the way there is about 2 hours / the layover on the way back is about 1 hour. This is not long compared to other airlines. This is the best time at that time.)

The best time to visit Mount Bromo is between July and September, when the skies are at their clearest. However, as the team was unavailable during that time, we decided to go between October 22nd and 27th. It was still very beautiful during that time.

Before you start your trip, let's get to know about Indonesia in terms of things you need to know for your trip.

Population: Approximately 220 million people, comprising various indigenous groups speaking over 583 different languages. 61% reside on the island of Java. (However, Indonesians communicate well in English, even better than some people from the south, to be honest.)

Language: The official and national language is Indonesian, or Bahasa Indonesia.

Religion: 87% of Indonesians are Muslim, 6% are Protestant Christians, 3.5% are Catholic Christians, 1.8% are Hindu, and 1.3% are Buddhist. (Don't go crazy ordering grilled pork neck there, you might end up being grilled as a pig yourself. Don't say I didn't warn you. Show some respect.)

Currency: Rupiah (IDR) Exchange rate is approximately (buy) 2.83 Baht / 1,000 as of the date we exchanged. We got this rate.

This trip is so rich, I have tens of millions of baht. Ha ha ha ha ha. Please call me "Boss" (I'm so rich, my brothers and sisters. I'm rich, but I don't share it with my friends. But in this picture, it's my friend's money.)

- Indonesia uses a 2-pin round plug, unlike our country, so be sure to bring a universal plug with you. (You'll need to charge your camera batteries, power bank, and mobile phone, or you'll be in trouble. And don't forget the triple plug, Gigi, make sure you pack it!)

Starting from Suvarnabhumi, the Garuda Indonesia check-in counter is located around row G.

The officer was very kind. She gave us, the Burmese immigrants, good advice. She checked us in for both files.

However, we had a slight problem with the climbing poles. We had to stuff them neatly into the bag, so we ended up doing it in front of the counter.

Crammed together (they let us load 30 kg/person in our bags, yay!)

Checked in and ready to go! Before coming, my friends asked if I was afraid of flying because the name sounds like "Indo, Indo, Gigi". I also read the news about the plane crash on the runway.

But when I got on the plane, hey, it was okay. It was like Bangkok Airways. I could stretch my legs, but I don't have any problems with my legs because I'm the standard size of a Thai woman.

Short, stocky, with an oval-shaped body, flat breasts, and a protruding belly.

The atmosphere in the plane is great. The Indonesian music is very catchy, and the melody has been stuck in my head ever since.

We started our journey with the last light of Suvarnabhumi. We'll be back in a bit (secretly taken from a villager's window, only got a little bit of the room, saw the sun for a moment).

The BKK-Jakarta flight serves food, but the highlight isn't the food, it's the national beer.

I'm tempted to try it, but I don't really want to eat it. I swear I'll win the lottery if I do.

I could fly longer because they served beer throughout the flight. I drank beer and watched shadow puppets. #gooddeal

If you have any other text you would like me to translate, please provide it and I will be happy to help.

(I'll put this on hold for now and continue writing tomorrow. I haven't started writing about the team's quirks yet, so stay tuned.) Watching shadow puppet shows makes me miss my hometown a lot. (If you like the humor of N'La #เหนียวไก่, I recommend you find a clip of N'Deow's shadow puppet show when Grandma Trendy came to watch. It's the ultimate in humor, but you need some ear skills to listen to the southern dialect. It's quite original southern, you know, really original.)

After finishing the movie, I grabbed a book and started reading, pretending to be a traveler.

Our friends are just chilling out, being their usual mischievous selves, like typical single guys. Oh, single (only single right now, just temporarily single).

And then it was time to set foot in Indonesia. At Jakarta Airport, the capital of Indonesia, it must be bustling. The airport is big, you know. As soon as I got off the plane, it was quiet. All the shops were closed. They didn't wait for each other at all.

I went to sit and wait for the transfer in a cool Starbucks. Please don't imagine it as a regular Starbucks. It has soft sofas, the aroma of coffee fills the air, and you can sit back and relax.

Not at all. It's like a food court with plastic chairs in the middle and restaurants all around.

The chair is actually made of plastic. Really hard plastic. Quality guaranteed. The bottom is completely worn out. (Translation = The bottom is completely worn out.)

No need to queue for Krispy Kreme, there's no one around.

After updating the social world and contacting family and friends for a while, it's time to continue our journey. Today is a travel day. We have arrived in Surabaya and will continue our journey to Kawah Ijen (a long journey tonight). From Surabaya Airport to Kawah Ijen, the dog team has already contacted and rented a car. This time, we are using the services of K.Arif, who has been contacted and scheduled in advance.

As soon as I arrived at the airport, my luggage was already there. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and was ready to sleep. All the people were gone from the airport. Oh my god, where is my driver? #WhereIsMyDriver

(I wonder if I got the time wrong or if they thought it was tomorrow because it's 12:30 AM. The dark side is in full force!)

Okay, what should I do now? I'm running around looking for wifi so I can email her and tell her I'm waiting for her in front of the bathroom at the airport. (I didn't have her number because I was careless and didn't write it down, so now I'm lost.)

Two minutes later, she walked over with a light sign with our name on it. Oh my god, it turned out that we were waiting in different places!

K.Arif provided excellent service and care, without complaining about our slow pace. (Even though the Dog Dog World team was very loud and chaotic in the car all the time, we were always late because we were crazy about taking pictures and didn't care about the media.) If you are interested in traveling to Indonesia, please contact [email protected] / FB :Arif Wawan. Many Thai people have used his services (he is very familiar with Thai people, so I think if he can handle us, he will have no problem with others).

After discussing the team's change of plans, K. Arif will not be able to continue with us. We will part ways in Surabaya and send the team by train to face their fate in Yogyakarta. As for the train tickets, they can be purchased at a minimart.

( The number of temples that have been reduced, she also reduced the price for us according to the day, which is very good. There is no deposit deduction at all. The monks came to bless GG)

Tonight we're sleeping in the Toyota Avanza. Neck pillows are ready, everyone is in their seats and ready to go. Sweet dreams and good night.

(Before arriving at the hotel, we stopped to shoot a rabbit or two. The weather was cool and comfortable, the sky was clear. It was a good sign, right?) The first day in Indonesia, a day of relaxation.

Today is a rest day to adjust the body condition. Get enough rest for tonight's walk.

Today we are staying at Catimor Homestay (the closest homestay to the starting point of the Kawai Chien hike, it takes 1 hour to walk from Catimor Homestay to the starting point). We arrived early in the morning and were able to check in right away (of course, we had to check out at 1 am, so we were tired).

Our accommodation looks like this.

I read the reviews and they weren't very good. But when I saw it in person, I was like, "Oh, it's okay." It's not bad, but don't judge it by its appearance. Let me go inside and take a look around, and then I'll tell you more.

In front of the men's dormitory (three beds)

Central dining hall

Common lounge area ( in front of the women's team's room)

Bedroom

Everything seemed fine, okay, until I got to the bathroom. (Our bathroom isn't smelly, okay, but the men's bathroom smells really bad. It's like someone ate stinky beans and then peed in the bathroom without flushing it, viewers.)

Luckily, I look good, so I was able to change rooms (I was born with a face that I can use to my advantage). Thank you to my parents for checking in. We've packed our things and it's time to eat.

My first Indonesian meal at Catimor Homestay (No choice here, but I trust their cleanliness the most. Trust me!)

Well, I've come to this remote corner of the world. What else is there to eat besides

1) Chicken fried rice (The chicken is quite good, but it has a slightly rancid smell. Chickens in Indonesia have feathers everywhere. I'm not sure if there are any additional properties. It would be good if all the feathers were removed from the chicken. It's a bit messy with feathers, but it looks delicious. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.)

2) Dry chicken noodles / Chicken noodle soup (Same chicken, fried since yesterday, used at once)

The best dish from Mom Thanat Srimani is the dry chicken noodles. The taste is the best, but honestly, the other dishes are also good. Nothing is bad.

After a satisfying meal, we took a short nap to recharge. In the afternoon, we went for a walk around the village. With our batteries fully charged, we set off to explore the village (the hotel told us there was a waterfall and a hot spring).

Keep walking, you have to pass through this village. It's so cute, it looks like a miniature village, small and cozy. People live their lives at a leisurely pace, no rush, no traffic jams, no pollution (but the dust is terrible).

Planting vegetables in front of the house

Wow, their vegetables are huge! I wonder if they're edible. They might be grown as ornamental plants.

The people here are so friendly, they greet me all the way as I walk by (I think I must be very beautiful, that's why the people here scream 555) After walking past this village, it will be a forest and a gravel road.

There are no signs here at all. The principle of walking is to make assumptions about the flow of water and listen to the sound of the waterfall (does it work? It doesn't, so I got lost). The villagers also told me different ways, which is good. It's like hiking for fun.

Breathe in the fresh air (Oh, it's so dusty, dude!)

Walking around, there was no one at all. No tourists, no villagers at all. I wandered around until I found our waterfall.

Oh my, they found a way to enter the waterfall. Let's wait and see how beautiful it is. (The team brought shorts to play in the waterfall, they're going to jump in like piranhas.)

After leaving the gravel road, the forest here is still very intact. The trees are lush and dense, and there are many animals (everywhere).

After a half-hour walk, we finally arrived at Blawan Waterfall (a real waterfall with a strong current, so swimming is not allowed. Playing in the waterfall is a natural form of birth control, eliminating the need for surgery).

Falling down wouldn't kill him, but I doubt he'd be found. He went down to Garsun (went down and couldn't be found, disappeared).

The look of joy in a dog's way (Like a conqueror of the Himalayas, overjoyed)

I didn't expect much from the waterfall here, but then I was like, "Okay, cool." Personally, I don't really like waterfalls, but I love the moss wall opposite the waterfall. It's amazing. It's like this all over the cliff face.

Since we were already there, we took a few photos (we ended up taking photos for almost an hour, during which time about 10 groups of tourists came and went, and we were still there).

I don't know what I'll face when I return to Bangkok, so I'm trying to make the most of my time here. (What am I doing? I'm not doing anything. Am I crazy? Talking to myself.)

How much dust have our feet been stained with to get to this point? (From black feet to white, I didn't eat the grass. I saw that my face was clean and my feet were white. I don't want to be emo.)

After the waterfall, we walked back to our accommodation.

Along the way, there are hot springs where you can soak. (The water is not clear, it's the original brown color. It makes me want to drink teh tarik.)

The young men couldn't resist taking selfies with the Indonesian girls (they were on the same boat).

The Indonesian girls are pretty (only slightly less than the girls from Phatthalung). After taking a shower, it was getting dark and the air was cool and refreshing. As I walked back to the homestay, the villagers and children came out to sit in front of their houses and play together. I couldn't resist asking for a child's bicycle to ride (using chocolate as bait). With the help of the Indonesian girls, we had a fun evening activity.

Let the servant manage his harem, kiki.

Big bike gang

The bike riding trend here is amazing (so thrilling that I couldn't even capture it on camera, brother).

The children here love to take photos, and each one has their own unique pose. It's hilarious!

(They love the camera sooo much, but please take good care of it! The kids might try to grab it from your hands, not because they want to steal it, but just because they want to see their pictures. Don't accidentally slap the kids' ears.)

This child smiles like this every time they take a picture. (This must be their most natural smile.)

We like this child (I have a weakness for men with buttoned collars 55555 I'll reserve this one first. Next time I'll ask my mother to ask for her hand in marriage.)

The weather will get colder and colder (don't expect the water heater to work well).

I missed showering before bed, so my hair is standing on end.

The homestay here has a badminton court (we didn't miss out, even though we didn't have rackets and shuttlecocks. We borrowed them. The people here are really kind, they let us borrow them.)

After playing tennis, it's time for dinner. I'll have to eat here again tonight.

Dinner will be a set menu. You can order as many sets as you like (if there are 5 people, you don't have to order 5 sets, as the set menu is quite large). The Dog Team ordered 2 sets (with additional stir-fried noodles and watermelon, for a total price of 140,000 IDR / 50,000 IDR per set menu).

The menu is not selectable, they will set it for us.

1) Stir-fried noodles

2) Vegetable broth

3) Rolled omelet / Fried mashed potatoes

4) Fried chicken: Fried chicken in the evening is much better than at noon (presumably because it is freshly fried and the oil has been changed).

5) Steamed rice (to be eaten with chili paste from home, with fried chicken. This is enough to satisfy your hunger.)

6) Crackers: Almost every dish here comes with crackers (similar to our vegetable dipping sauce).

They say people from the south are loud, I don't know if it's true. I was just having a few beers and playing games when a handsome foreigner walked up to me. (I thought to myself, he must like me, he's going to ask for my Line or Chip. Should I give it to him? I'm a Thai lady, after all. Hehe.)

The truth is, he came and said, "Excuse me, could you please be quiet? I have to wake up early tomorrow. Thank you."

He must be thinking that

It's only nine o'clock.

I don't know what time I have to wake up at nine o'clock in the evening to leave at one o'clock in the morning.

That's right, you heard it right, no typos. Wheels rolling at one in the morning.

Let me reiterate, take a bath and get ready in the evening. After your bath, put on your travel clothes for tomorrow and set your alarm for 12:30 AM to wash your face, brush your teeth, and pack your things. (No matter what, I will not take a bath in the morning, absolutely not!)

Fight on!
