The Importance of Choosing Good Food

The sisters emphasize the importance of choosing good food, comparing it to selecting the right men. They indulge in a delicious breakfast at Kanokphan Restaurant, savoring the dim sum and other delicacies.

The Journey Ahead and Spreading Wealth

Point 2: Paying respects at Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew, Khao Kho, Phetchabun

As a devout Buddhist, visiting temples is an integral part of my travels. From Phitsanulok, our destination was Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew, a sacred temple nestled atop Khao Kho mountain in Phetchabun province.

Sister Moo, ever the capable driver, navigated the winding roads with ease, and within an hour, we arrived at our destination.

At this point, we were met with disappointment as heavy rain poured down, making it impossible to visit the Phra That.
We could only sit and drink coffee at a shop in front of the temple amidst the rain and strong winds. We decided that we had to move on.
The Show must go on !!!!
A voice chased after us as we drove away, saying "Rockslide! Rockslide!"
A scream erupted in the car, and we turned the car onto another road.
After driving for a while, another scream rang out because a flash flood from the mountains cut off the road.
Jeh Moo turned the car around again to go back the way we came. We prayed that the other road wouldn't be blocked by a rockslide, or else we would definitely be stuck on the mountain.
As we drove back from the original road, there were about 3-5 fist-sized rocks lying on the side of the road.
Oh...................... Rockslide = =
Jeh said, "This is why you shouldn't believe what men say until you see it with your own eyes. What they say is big might actually be small."
You mean "rocks," right Jeh? Hahahahahaha

Stop 3: Colorful Khanom Jeen at Khruam Jeh Rae in Lom Sak

After escaping the rain at Pha Sorn Kaew, we stopped for a delicious lunch of colorful Khanom Jeen at Khruam Jeh Rae in Lom Sak, Phetchabun. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh, colorful Khanom Jeen noodles with a selection of flavorful curries to choose from.

The noodles were soft and the curries were tasty, although I must admit that the southern curries I'm accustomed to are spicier and more intense. However, I'm not biased towards my hometown; I'm simply stating the truth.

One thing I haven't seen much in the south is Khanom Jeen noodles colored with herbs and vegetables. The vibrant colors and the soft texture of the noodles were a delightful surprise.

Point 4: Talad Nat Ton Taan, Khon Kaen, Isan Region

As we drove to escape the storm from Phetchabun to Khon Kaen, it was early evening. Without delay, as the storm was hot on our heels, we drove to Talad Nat Ton Taan. We had read reviews that we could get beautiful Isan-style photos here, haha! Luckily, there weren't many people. After taking photos with the market's landmark, the rain started to pour, chasing us back to the car. We then headed to the B2 Hotel, where we had booked a connecting room. We usually stay at B2 when we travel to other provinces because the prices are reasonable, and the rooms are good.

Point 5: Spicy Isan Delights at Tong Pla Pao Restaurant

After freshening up at the hotel, we were eager to experience the authentic flavors of Isan cuisine. Our guide, a friendly local, recommended Tong Pla Pao restaurant, known for its delicious grilled fish and spicy papaya salad.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with the tantalizing aroma of grilled fish and fresh herbs. The first bite of the papaya salad was an explosion of flavors – a perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. We couldn't help but exclaim in unison, "Delicious!"

The silence that followed spoke volumes. We devoured every dish, savoring the unique blend of spices and textures. The meal was so satisfying that we couldn't resist ordering another round.

The sentence is already in English. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Another day of travel is over.
Exhausted but satisfied with the delicious spicy papaya salad.
Fell asleep instantly after hitting the pillow.

Stop 6: Breakfast at Em-Ocha Restaurant, Khon Kaen
A Khon Kaen breakfast must include a pan-fried egg with delicious Chinese sausage.
Followed by Chinese blood pudding, pork noodle soup, and unique Vietnamese bread (which is not available in the south, haha).
I must admit that I love the bread with sweet Chinese sausage and pork filling.
Here, the pan-fried egg is served with a glass of freshly squeezed sweet orange juice, making the morning refreshing and energetic.
Ready to continue the journey.

Point 7: Strutting at Bueng Kaen Nakhon

Bueng Kaen Nakhon is like a public park in the heart of Khon Kaen. We've seen many parks with lakes in major cities, so it wasn't particularly exciting. However, this place has a lot of pigeons.

Sister Moo said she wanted some cool, unique photos with pigeons. She even bought pigeon feed to attract them and have them swarm around her while we snapped photos.

Go for it, sis!

But it took several takes to get the "bird" shot. Haha!

Farewell to Khon Kaen with a Leap of Skill

This phrase marks a departure from Khon Kaen, accompanied by a display of various jumping skills. The imagery suggests a dynamic and energetic farewell, leaving a lasting impression.
