I'd love to take a train journey somewhere, just to relax and enjoy the scenery while listening to music.

"Photharam" immediately came to mind. It's not too far away, so I could make a round trip in one day.

This is the perfect place for us to try riding the train alone for the first time.

Curious to discover what a small town like "Photharam" has to offer.

After showering and getting dressed, I headed straight for Hua Lamphong Station. GO GO GO!!!

Arriving at Hua Lamphong without any prior research, I immediately purchased a ticket...

Oh my god! It's 7:30 am now, and the train won't arrive until 9:20 am. What should I do for the next two hours? So I sat and watched people walk by, which was quite enjoyable.

And then the train arrived... Train number 261 from Bangkok to Hua Hin. However, our final destination is Photharam.

After securing a seat, the train departed from Hua Lamphong. It was an indescribable feeling of joy.

However, due to a lack of knowledge about light and direction, the seats were chosen poorly, resulting in constant exposure to sunlight throughout the journey.

The middle-aged man sitting opposite me, who seemed accustomed to train travel, offered words of encouragement.

"It's going to be hot here until the end, kid." Oh, really? You're hammering it home.

-----------------------------------------------

No matter, don't worry about it. Grab your headphones, turn on your favorite music, and enter your own world.

The sights along the way were more captivating than the scorching sun.

**"Houses and trees" The cool wind blows on my face. This is exactly what I need.**

I was nervous the whole way, afraid that I would get off at the wrong station because I was too busy listening to music and didn't hear the announcements.

The two-hour journey was so relaxing that I lost track of time.

And then, I didn't get lost! As soon as I stepped off the train, I felt as proud as if I had just returned from a battle. I was grinning from ear to ear.

The train arrived at Photharam Station at 12:00, which was 30 minutes late.

The next step was to inquire about the return time, which would allow for personal preparation. The confirmed return time was 4:21 PM, leaving ample time.

Discreetly asking the station master, "What's interesting in Photharam?" The answer brought tears to my eyes.

" I've only been working here for two days, and I haven't walked anywhere further than around the station. "

The first thing I did was to find something to eat because I was very hungry. Then I walked alone, heading to the old market. I walked around taking pictures for a while.

Exhausted, both from the soaring temperature and the excitement, at 1:00 PM.

Strolling along, I stumbled upon a charming cafe, as if it knew my craving for something refreshing.

This shop is called "DO Milk". Did we really come all the way to Photharam just to see milk?!

This charmingly decorated shop evokes a nostalgic atmosphere, with remnants of the community's past evident in its furnishings.

It seems to be a gathering place for young people in this area (I feel strangely integrated).

DO Noms boasts a unique charm, offering both cozy indoor seating and a tranquil outdoor garden for a relaxing experience.

Choose whichever option you prefer.

The charm of "Photharam" lies in its old wooden houses in the market, most of which are inhabited. The lifestyle of the people here is simple, with a hint of old-world culture that is well reflected in the buildings and residences.

After wandering around taking photos, the locals started to recognize my face (to be honest, I was really afraid of being chased by dogs).

Since I've come this far, I might as well take the opportunity to pay my respects to the Buddha for good luck. (I wish for a cute and lovely boyfriend, please! 🙏)

This temple appears serene and peaceful (perhaps a little too quiet at times).

After a long and tiring walk, I still haven't reached the store I was aiming for. I decided to head back to the train station to regroup. I turned left and walked along the train tracks.

"De Pain" traveled four hours round trip by train just for you!

Upon arrival, they were determined to spend the remaining 1.30 hours at this establishment.

Order for a Relaxing Break:

  • Iced Cocoa: A refreshing drink to cool down.
  • Chocolate Lava Cake: A decadent treat to indulge in.
  • Crêpe Cake: A light and fluffy dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth.

This restaurant boasts a unique and charming decor. Exposed concrete walls are adorned with vintage wooden doors, reminiscent of traditional shophouses, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.

Or is this a meeting point for lovers in Photharam? There are both women and men / men and men sitting and watching, it's really fun.

It's time to go home!!

After spending a day in Photharam, the smiles of the locals remain etched in my memory. As I rode the train back, I couldn't help but appreciate the pleasant atmosphere.

The setting sun, the falling wind, and the slightly chaotic sky brought small joys and smiles during the journey.

Grateful for the two feet and one heart that conquered my fears and embarked on this journey today.
