This weekend, are you interested in going to soak in a hot spring in the middle of a valley in Sai Yok District, Kanchanaburi Province?

If you're looking for accommodation that's close to nature and has lots of greenery, then you should definitely check out 'Home Phu Tei'. The rooms are designed to look like wooden huts in the forest, and you'll wake up to views of the mist and the Mae Nam Khwae Noi River. Plus, there are tons of activities to do! You don't have to decide right away, though. Read this review first and then decide.

Getting There

The most convenient way to reach us is by private car. You can choose either the Pin Klao-Phutthamonthon-Nakhon Chai Si-Nakhon Pathom-Ban Pong-Kanchanaburi-Sai Yok route or the Bang Yai-Bang Len-Kamphaeng Saen-Phanom Thuan-Kanchanaburi-Sai Yok route. Our GPS coordinates are N 14.328779, E 98.968492. If you get lost, you can call us at 081-817-5182.

The drive from Bangkok takes about 3 hours. Once you reach the entrance of Home Phu Teuy River Kwai Resort, you will need to drive down the hill for about 1.5 kilometers to reach the parking lot.

The beautiful lady came to pick me up. The parking lot and the reception are actually quite close. I should have gotten some exercise. Haha.

Check-in was smooth. The staff explained everything clearly and even provided a map. They were very friendly.

There are three types of rooms available: superior (1,850 THB/night), deluxe (2,150 THB/night), and river view premier deluxe (3,150 THB/night). Our room is a deluxe. This price includes breakfast only. If you want to add other meals, you can select them on the accommodation's website. Here is the link: https://www.homephutoeyriverkwai.com/th/

P.S. If you book for 3 nights or more or book 1 month in advance, the price per night will be lower.

Upon opening, one is greeted with an abundance of excellence.

Warm orange tones create a cozy atmosphere. The room includes a TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a private bathroom.

The best part is the hairdryer, and the pandan-scented shower gel smells amazing.

After thoroughly exploring the room, we ventured out to survey the surrounding area of our accommodation. We began at the resort's swimming pool, which offered numerous picturesque photo opportunities with stunning mountain views.

You can choose to pedal a water bike or kayak at no additional cost. We chose to kayak.

That's great!

After finishing our paddle, we went for a swim. The pool here is quite large and, importantly, 1.70 meters deep. I didn't read the sign, so when I jumped in, I went straight to the bottom! 😂 The pool also provides towels, so you don't need to bring one from your room.

The highlight of this place is the hot spring pool. There are both foot baths and full-body baths. The full-body bath is located next to the swimming pool. The hot spring water is pumped up from underground and is very hot. It is very comfortable to soak in.

The sentence is empty.

Both types of hot spring pools will be open from 5 pm to 4 am. We soaked for a while and then went to soak our feet, which is right next to the soaking pool. It looks like this...

Just as we were about to soak in the pool, the rain started pouring down. We had to rush back to our rooms to shower and change, waiting for the rain to stop before heading out for dinner.

It's our time now! Haha.

I'd love to have every meal with this view. : )

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Dinner here is served as a set menu, and the portions are quite generous. Perhaps a bit too much for two people, haha! But everything was delicious. We didn't finish everything because there was just so much food.

There's nothing better than a good meal and a good night's sleep. After watching two movies, we slept soundly. We woke up in the morning and the air was so fresh (we stayed in 5 places in Sai Yok, this place has the best air). As soon as we woke up, we felt refreshed and went to eat breakfast.

Breakfast here starts at 7 am and ends at 10 am. You can choose from rice porridge, stir-fried basil with rice, or an American breakfast set. However, tea, coffee, and bread can be refilled as much as you like. By the way, the whole wheat bread here is delicious. I don't know the brand, but I love it.

The Final Mission at Home Phu Toei: A Stroll Through Santi Weerayudh Danlop Park

The final mission at Home Phu Toei was a leisurely stroll through Santi Weerayudh Danlop Park. This park was built to honor Dr. Danlop, who provided medical care to the sick during the construction of the Death Railway during World War II. (In fact, this place also offers a TreeTop Adventure activity, but we didn't participate. If anyone has tried it, please share your experience!)

A beautiful and shady garden.
