Ururun Kawaguchiko
Accommodation for thousands, with a view worth millions

Following my review of the Japanese foliage trip, many friends have messaged me privately requesting more details about the accommodation. (Review of Japanese foliage https://th.readme.me/p/4730)

**Ururun Kawaguchiko:** A budget-friendly accommodation perfect for those seeking breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Enjoy stunning vistas of the iconic mountain from your room, while dining and even using the restroom. The friendly owner adds to the charm of this hotel, making it an ideal choice for a memorable stay.

**Location: Lake Kawaguchiko**

Located near Station 18, close to the foliage tunnel. You can walk from the accommodation to see the tunnel and admire Mount Fuji by the lake. It's very relaxing. (Sitting and watching Mount Fuji from the accommodation is also very enjoyable.)

**Price: 28,000 JYP**

(6-7 people) The price in 2015 was very cheap, incredibly cheap for the cost of living in Japan. On average, the price was comparable to a hostel. With the exchange rate at that time, it averaged 1,300 baht per person (divided by six). You got a villa for that price. Oh my god, it was so worth it.

Additional services

  • Pick-up and drop-off at the train station. You can inform them of the time. Excellent service.
  • There is no food here, but they have a food menu that you can order from. They will deliver it to your accommodation. If you want to go out and buy groceries, they also offer this service. Just let them know. Or, if you want to cook your own food, the house has complete kitchen equipment.
  • They offer bicycle rentals. You can cycle around the lake. (No need to buy bus tickets.)

The atmosphere in front of the hotel is great. Our house is a villa with two floors, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one living room, one kitchen, and a barbecue area in front of the house.

Upstairs consists of a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The living room offers breathtaking views of Mount Fuji.
Downstairs features a bedroom, a bathroom, and a balcony with a party table in front of the house.

( There are also rooms for two people, but they are located behind the villa and the view of Mount Fuji is not as good.)

Directions to the accommodation from Station 18:

Walk for approximately 5 minutes from Station 18.

A Luxurious Bath with a View

The second-floor bathroom boasts a bathtub with a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji. The accommodation provides bath salts (the specific name is unknown) that release a delightful fragrance and leave the body feeling incredibly light, reminiscent of a true onsen experience.

The first floor has two bedrooms, both impeccably clean and fully equipped. We even received a lesson on how to properly make the beds (turns out we've been doing it wrong all along!). (Image credit: ururun kawaguchiko)

Living/Dining Room on the Second Floor

This room is fantastic! The view of Mount Fuji is breathtaking, and it's perfect for hosting parties. (Image credit: ururun kawaguchiko)

The owner of the accommodation kindly dropped us off here. :) Chureito Pagoda. We didn't have to climb the stairs at all, which was very touching. We were spared from climbing hundreds of steps, which would have been terrible. :) (We had only asked them to drop us off at the train station, and we would have come here ourselves, but they were so kind that they drove us all the way here.) Tears streamed down our faces. We will definitely bring our friends to stay here again if we have the chance.

Accommodation is currently fully booked. You can try contacting them directly in case of cancellations. Please let them know if you are interested.
