Hello, today I'm here to share a mini-review of a restaurant located high above the city, offering panoramic views of Bangkok. The restaurant is RED SKY, located at Centara Grand at Central World.

As it was my significant other's birthday, I decided to take them to dinner on top of a building.

After researching several locations, I ultimately decided to settle here at Red Sky due to its convenient location in the heart of Bangkok.

To ensure a memorable experience, it is highly recommended to make a reservation 2-3 days in advance. This will guarantee table availability and potentially secure a desirable seating location.

Note that if you are celebrating a special occasion, such as a birthday, be sure to inform the staff when making your reservation. The restaurant will provide a complimentary chocolate cake as a birthday gift, with the option to have a name written on it. However, please be aware that balloons are strictly prohibited on the premises.

Red Sky is located on the 55th floor of the Centara Grand at Central World hotel. To get there, take the hotel elevator from the parking lot to the lobby on the 23rd floor. Then, take the high zone elevator to the 55th floor.

The dress code here is smart casual. There are signs before the elevator indicating that tank tops, shorts, and sandals are not allowed.

However, despite the regulations, Chinese tourists were still observed flouting the rules and drinking at the bar.

We have a dinner reservation for Saturday evening at 6:00 PM. This is a great time to visit, as it is before the crowds arrive and you can enjoy the view without feeling rushed. The sunset will be beautiful, and we have a non-smoking table on the Ratchaprasong Road side with stunning views.

Upon arrival, the waiter escorted us to our reserved table and presented us with a beverage menu. We opted for a mocktail and a beer each to start.

The Culinary Delights: A Taste of French Cuisine

Moving on to the culinary offerings, the restaurant presents a concise menu featuring primarily French-inspired dishes.

The waiters use iPads to show you pictures of the food, which is a great feature.

Stay tuned for more photos of the ambiance and food. Before we dive into the menu, let's take a look at the overall atmosphere of Red Sky.

This photo was taken solely on an iPhone 6S Plus, captured just before sunset, resulting in the naturally beautiful lighting.

While the restaurant zone is indeed located on the 55th floor, there is also a bar area on the balcony where you can enjoy drinks. You can simply walk up the stairs to access it. The bar offers panoramic views, and the menu features snacks and appetizers rather than main courses.

The bar zone offers a unique experience with reclining seats that allow you to relax and enjoy the view.

"While at Red Sky, it would be a shame not to take a picture with this curve. Let's do it then."

This is a photo of the view from the reserved seat for dinner.

Let's move on to the menu of Red Sky.

As mentioned, the menu here offers a limited selection.

For our appetizer, we opted for a shared warm dish, followed by individual main courses. (It may seem like a small amount, but we ended up incredibly full.)

Before the main course arrives, the restaurant will serve a complimentary appetizer of bread, butter, and marinated olives.

This is the restaurant's menu. There is only one page.

The bread-butter-pickled olive set is visually appealing, and the bread is delicious.

Warm Appetizer: Scottish Smoked Salmon served on a warm potato salad seasoned with juniper berries.

A bed of thinly sliced, slightly crisp potato salad topped with smoked salmon. The salad is drizzled with a creamy juniper berry sauce.

Next up is the main course. The images will be a bit darker, as the main course will be served as the sun sets.

The first dish is the restaurant's recommended dish, which is a meat dish.

Wagyu Beef Tenderloin "Rossini" served with foie gras, truffle, wide mushrooms, and Medeira sauce.

A round slice of Wagyu beef, placed on mashed potatoes and drizzled with a rich Madeira sauce mixed with mushrooms. It also comes with foie gras on top of the Wagyu beef.

This dish features salmon again.

Grilled Atlantic Salmon Fillet with Sautéed Forest Mushrooms and Caramelized Onion Jus

This dish features a large piece of salmon in a frothy, creamy sauce. (The foam does dissipate after a while, though.)

After a satisfying meal, it's time for dessert.

As mentioned, the restaurant offers a surprise birthday cake for special occasions like birthdays. How wonderful!

After a while, the Surprise Cake arrived. The waiter sang Happy Birthday, which was very cute. The birthday girl was stunned and shy.

Thank you for the delicious dark chocolate cake.
