The economy is not doing well, but traveling nearby can give you peace of mind. Even though I have been in Phuket for a long time, I don't really have much to do nearby. So this is a good opportunity to try going out as a foreigner. And of course, staying at home is not the same as going out. Traveling is a kind of field trip that gives us new experiences. And because it's so lucky that there's a new POSHTEL open in Phuket [POSHTEL is a kind of HOSTEL with a beautiful design according to the style of the creator or owner]. Since I'm going to explain about POSHTEL, I'll use the picture of BOX POSHTEL PHUKET as an example. Because I've tried staying there.
1. There are rooms that are DORM style or shared with other tourists, and Private Rooms that are private. But both types share a bathroom, or what is called a Share Bathroom [Most Thais don't really like it]. But when you go abroad, it's really not scary. It's like when we were in a dorm in college. And even though the room is full, I've never had to wait in line to use the bathroom.
The room is a 3 and a half foot bed, approximately. With a curtain at the end of the bed.
If you've never stayed there, you might be afraid at first. Who's going to open it? Haha. But I've stayed there before, so I know that tourists are polite. Just like we wouldn't go and open other people's things. And for luggage and valuables, there are lockers under the bed for you to store.
Despite its small and narrow exterior, the interior is surprisingly spacious and comfortable, even for someone of my age (40) and weight (80 kg). The room is sparsely furnished, with only a clothes hanger, a small shelf, a mirror, and an electrical outlet for charging cameras and mobile phones.
Shared bathroom, but very clean.
It's raining heavily, viewers.
Honestly, the bathroom is more beautifully decorated than some hotels.
The private room, also known as the "Double Box," features two beds, one on the lower level and one on the upper level. It is more spacious than the single box room I stayed in.
And they also added a large LCD screen. (But I only came here to sleep, so I don't think it's necessary for sleeping. And I can watch TV in the living room.)
This is called a Super Box room.
The design is simple, but the color scheme is stylish.
2. POSHTELs often have various common rooms where guests can relax (as the beds are typically only for sleeping). Some even have cafes or bars where you can enjoy drinks with fellow travelers you've just met. This is a great way to meet new people and exchange travel experiences with international visitors, especially for those who may be more reserved.
Lounge and TV area at BOX Poshtel Phuket
There is a small bar where you can sit and drink beer or cocktails. (Hey guys, can I get a bottle of Coke? Haha!)
There are tables in front of the hotel where you can work or eat food purchased from outside restaurants. The hotel does not mind.
Overall, it looks cool and beautiful.
Affordable Accommodation with a Shared Space Concept
The Poshtel offers budget-friendly accommodation with a unique shared space concept. By sharing the room with other travelers, guests can enjoy significantly lower prices compared to private rooms, especially considering the stylish design and innovative ideas behind the hostel.
Single travelers can opt for the Single Box room, priced at only 350 baht (as of October). For those who prefer more privacy, private rooms are also available at a slightly higher cost.

After talking about POSHTEL for a while, it's time to travel ^_^
As I mentioned earlier, even though I live in Phuket (sometimes I do, sometimes I don't), I have never been to Racha Island and He Island. Even though foreign tourists have been visiting the islands so much that they are almost overflowing. This time, I decided to go with my friends ^_^ After having storms for several days in a row, today we are lucky (again) that it is not raining and the sun is shining. It's so good that it's hot. It's so good that I don't even have to guess that when I come back, my skin color will change to tan (instead of white, lol). ..... Let's sail the Andaman Sea to Racha Island and He Island, yeah ^_^
The pier to travel to Racha Island and He Island is Chalong Bay Pier.
Which is actually not far from Phuket Town, but the traffic is so bad that it takes almost an hour to get there. Oh my god!!!!
There are a lot of tourists because there are many trips that have to leave from Chalong Bay.
Looking around, most of them are Chinese, mixed with a little Japanese and a little Westerners.
But the atmosphere is relaxed, not chaotic, not noisy, lol.
Today's weather is exceptionally pleasant compared to the past few weeks, despite the slightly overcast sky, which is typical for the approaching winter season.
After the guide, Donut, checked the names and confirmed everything was in order, we finally set off on our journey. (The group consisted entirely of Chinese tourists.)
The boat cruised leisurely as we sat at the front, enjoying the view of Chalong Bay and observing the popular Catamaran boats lined up nearby.
It only took 30 minutes to reach "Racha Island," and the sky was perfectly beautiful.
(Wow, the water is incredibly clear.)
The sky over Phuket Island remains hazy.
This photo would be perfect if it weren't for you two. >_<
Upon arrival at the island, the guide, Donut, gave a trilingual explanation of the island's schedule. (I didn't listen at all, haha!)
The students have decided to stay at Ao Tue Bay for the water activities. There are umbrellas and beach chairs available for rent at 200 baht per item. (As a Thai citizen, I can sit anywhere without having to pay.)
We sat under the shade of a tree on the left side of the beach. It was free, the atmosphere was pleasant, and it wasn't hot. We could go swimming whenever we wanted.
The seawater is crystal clear.
We were among the first boats to arrive, and there were hardly any tourists around.
The view here is considered to be good for " Ao Thuea at Koh Racha Yai "
Let's play in the water now.
Approximately 40 minutes later, more boats began to arrive.
China also has
Russia is also coming.
"Auntie, cheese! I'm already at Koh Larn, you guys!"
(Haha, secretly laughing at Auntie… so cute!)
Leaving Ao Tue, the boat took us to Ao La for some snorkeling.
The water color and atmosphere are as good as Koh 7 of the Similan Islands.
Crystal clear water that allows you to see fish swimming.
The children went to explore the underwater world. The answer is beautiful and there is a lot to see.
After snorkeling for about an hour, we left Ao La to pick up the tourists who did not go snorkeling at Ao Tue again.
This time, all the tourists have disappeared. The guide said that they have all gone to eat.
(Ah, I see… No wonder my stomach started to growl. Haha!)
However, Ao Tue is beautiful when there are no people around.
Goodbye Ao Tue, Koh Racha Yai
Just a 15-minute boat ride from Ao Tuek on Racha Yai Island, we arrive at "Koh Hey".
Koh Hey is an island not far from Phuket Island. The water clarity is not as good as Koh Racha.
(Across is the island of Koh Lon.)
The area above is covered by a canopy of trees and lined with beach chairs.
This is a great spot to observe, or rather, admire, tourists enjoying the sea.
Ah He sleeps so comfortably.
(Turning around 2-3 times, this leather is really crispy, hahahahaha)
While there are times when multiple tour groups arrive, leading to a significant number of tourists, the vastness of the beach ensures that it never feels overly crowded.
We spent several hours on Koh Hey.
There are many water activities available, such as banana boat rides and parasailing.
(I was actually planning to go parasailing to take some bird's-eye-view pictures, but I'll save that for next time, haha!)
Time to go. Bye Bye Koh Hey.
See you again for more fun.
