After a long hiatus from writing travel reviews, I'm back with a restaurant review to whet your appetite before the upcoming winter tourist season.

Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to run errands near The Promenade Ramintra shopping mall. I took the chance to bring my family for a stroll and try some delicious local cuisine. After walking around for a while, we decided to choose GOHAN RESTAURANT, a premium Japanese restaurant in the area.

As I walked past the restaurant, the staff greeted me and invited me to look at the menu. The food looked delicious, and since I was in town, I wanted to try a new restaurant that I don't have near my home. So I decided to give it a try.

This restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for the latter to minimize any potential disruption to other patrons, especially considering my little one's presence. Additionally, I recently acquired a new macro lens and wanted to take advantage of the natural light available outdoors.

The service here is quite good. The staff brought us the menu and even recommended some dishes for us (we're not very familiar with Japanese food, but we wanted to try it). ^^

After ordering food and drinks for a while, the drinks arrived. My wife and I had refillable iced green tea, while my little one had a full-blown chocolate frappe after several days of abstaining from cold treats. Oh my, the drool-worthy, large cup with impressive whipped cream was a hit with both mother and daughter. I couldn't resist taking a sip of my daughter's drink, and it was just as good as the fresh coffee I usually have at the office.

The food arrived quickly, even before I finished taking pictures. The first dish was the salmon sushi, which looked stunning and lived up to its price. The taste was extraordinary. I whispered to my wife that we couldn't find anything like this near our home. The salmon was sweet and tender, melting in my mouth. (Salmon Aburi Saikyo Nigiri) costs 480B.

The next set of dishes arrived in quick succession, leaving me no time to wait. I had to order my wife to stop eating so I could take a picture first! ^^

This set, the **Seafood Steak Seafood Steak Set (440B)**, includes crystal shrimp, New Zealand mussels, squid, and salmon, served on a hot plate with steamed rice, vegetable salad, miso soup, and egg custard. I don't know if it was delicious, but I know that nothing was left.

This set, my own Buta Tariyaki Set (260B), is served with rice, salad, steamed egg, miso soup, and pickled vegetables. The grilled pork is tender and lean, which I really enjoyed (I don't eat fat or skin).

And to top it all off, the salmon sashimi, your wife's favorite. The fresh, thick slices of salmon were so tender they practically melted in your mouth. There was no fishy aftertaste at all, which is surprising because I don't usually like raw fish, fearing it might not be fresh. But this was a whole different story. It was so fresh that one bite wasn't enough. Even the serving dish hinted that this was something special. Salmon 280B

For this meal, I am too full to have dessert. If I have the opportunity to come again, I will order dessert and share it with you.

The restaurant staff recommended that the signature dish is meat. However, I do not eat meat, so I did not try it. If you are interested, you can come and try it.

GOHAN RESTAURANT, located on the 3rd floor of the Promanade Shopping Center, is currently offering a special promotion.

Thank you all for following me. I will recommend other great restaurants next time. ^_^
