In the land of the southernmost tip of Thailand, many people may overlook it.

This place is a popular tourist destination with countless attractions to explore. However, it would be impossible to visit them all.

We decided to take a trip to a new province, and we chose Pattani, a place we had never been to before. We had been wanting to go for a long time, but we never had the chance. This time, the opportunity finally presented itself, and we were excited to embark on our journey. Join us as we explore the beautiful district of Sai Buri in Pattani province.

Even our King has traveled to...
So what reason does Uncle Waden have to do that?

**We believe** it's better to embark on a journey to find the answers ourselves. Dwelling on thoughts without taking action will not lead us anywhere. Therefore, let's begin our journey now.

We chose to travel by flying to Narathiwat. The earliest flight is at 6 am.

Thai Smile Airways, Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) - Narathiwat

I was worried I wouldn't make it to the airport on time because the flight was so early in the morning. So, I decided to sleep at the airport.

The air conditioner is too cold! So I took out the sleeping bag in my bag and slept in it. It's comfortable now. Good night.

Oh no! The 5.45 flight has already departed, and your flight is at 6.15.

Will I make it in time? I'm running late.
I almost missed check-in.

But I made it safely. Phew!

The food is ready, let's eat!
What is it? It's delicious!!! These sticks are...

This morning's flight was a truly enjoyable experience. The flight time was approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Narathiwat Airport, our journey continues.

From the airport, there are vans available at the baggage claim area that can take you to Narathiwat city.
Honestly, we're not sure how to get to Sungai Kolok yet.
Our plan is to go to the bus terminal first.
Then we'll figure it out from there. Just tell them you're going to the Narathiwat bus terminal.
The fare is 80 baht and it takes about 40 minutes.

The buses here run according to the flight schedule. Please check the times carefully if you are arriving or departing.

Or call to inquire about the time with them beforehand 090-774-3370.

(Why are you speaking Malay to me? 555 How do I look like a Malay person?)

We have arrived at Narathiwat Bus Terminal.

"I walked over and asked, "Which bus goes to Sabay Buri?" The people nearby pointed to this bus, channel 5, Pattani to Su-ngai Kolok."

The bus departs at 9 am. According to the bus schedule, Pattani - Sai Buri. The bus runs almost every hour. The last bus leaves at 5 pm. Wow, it's fun from the start. We're going to take the bus to Sai Buri, right?

Let's continue our journey.

Based on the map, it's about 50 kilometers, so it shouldn't take more than an hour or so to get there. The scenery along the way is a mix of mountains and military checkpoints. As we drive,

**Oh, wow!** It's been over two hours. Feeling hot yet? The bus will stop at the city hall or in front of the clock tower. However, I think the bus will continue to its final destination in Pattani City.

If you see a clock tower like this, congratulations! You have arrived in Saibur City. 555

What's next? How do you get to your accommodation? Your luggage is too heavy. I don't know why you brought your whole house. You're only here for 3 days.
Luckily, I saw a soldier sitting there, so I asked him, "Sir, is Saibur Resort far? I'm going to walk there."
"Oh, it's far," the soldier said. "Here, take a motorcycle taxi. It's just over there." Then he told the driver that I was going to the resort.
"You can take a 'cholay' to get there," the driver said. "What's a cholay, sir?" I asked. "This is a cholay..."

After investigating the matter, it turns out that the term "chole" originated from a movie where the protagonist, also named Chole, drove a motorcycle with a sidecar. The name stuck, and now "chole" refers to this type of vehicle. The service cost 10 baht.

Who would have thought that Sa Buri would have such a lovely resort? We have already contacted the owner. If anyone comes to Sa Buri and doesn't have a place to stay, try stopping by. The price is affordable, with air-conditioned rooms for 450 baht. Contact 087-288-2005. Or, if you don't want to stay, you can stop by for coffee or tea.

The room is very lovely.

Before I could even relax, my brother invited me to dinner. Huh?! The resort owner is going to take us to dinner. Wow, I don't want to bother you. Then what are you waiting for? Get in the car, we're going to dinner! 5555

Thank you very much for the delicious meal. The people here are so friendly.

They asked me why I came to visit Saibur. They asked if I was afraid.
Afraid of what?
They said, "Don't be afraid. Come and visit. It's a beautiful place."

Then they asked me where I wanted to go. I didn't know where to go.
They said, "Let a local guide take you around. It will be more interesting."

And so I met Brother Anut, the president of SAIBURI LOOKER, a group of young people who love their hometown of Saibur.
This trip is going to be amazing. Let's start our journey!

Before we go, let's finish our meal first. But speaking of the restaurant we're sitting in now,

It's beautiful, it's very ART Design. After asking around, I found out that this is the gathering place of SAIBURI LOOKER
That's why the shop is so stylish. The name of this shop is Check in at iff& arm Saiburi , which is simply Eve & Arm.
The shop is located in the alley next to the clock tower. You have to say it in a cool way, like "The shop is so cool, man!" 555

The restaurant serves a fusion of local and modern cuisine, offering a delightful culinary experience.
The menu features dishes such as deep-fried chicken with budu sauce, alongside a variety of other options.
Beverages are also available.

Now that we're full,
let's continue our journey. But I can't help but wonder,
what is that classic-looking house next to the shop?

Upon closer inspection, it was evident that the spectacle was truly magnificent.

This must have been the home of a wealthy or rich person in the past. And indeed, this is the Phiphatphiphat Mansion.

** **

This ancient building boasts remarkable architecture, drawing influences from Javanese, Chinese, and Malay styles. Its beauty is undeniable, but what truly amazes me is its age. Despite its centuries-old existence, the structure remains remarkably intact, almost as if its inhabitants were still present.

The Phra Phithakphakdi Mansion is a significant historical site in Sai Buri District.

In the past, this was the residence of Phra Phiphitphakdi, the eldest son of the ruler of Yaring (one of the seven vassal states).

Wow, how many hundreds of years has it been? ... They say that this place is the most prosperous among the seven provincial palaces.
My goodness, it's extraordinary...

The house has changed hands several times over the years. The people of Buriram recognize the historical significance of the house and have made efforts to preserve it. They have agreed to purchase the building.

The other side is an old palace, still beautiful.

Let's continue our journey. As you can see, there are many mosques here. Not only are there many, but they are all beautiful. I couldn't resist stopping to take some pictures.

This is the Raya Mosque.

This ancient mosque in the city of Sai Buri originally had a large tree.

It was very large and hundreds of years old. When the sun rises, it is said that there will be a long shadow along the mountain range. At noon, the shadow will stretch for hundreds of meters. Therefore, it is a wonder of the trees here. The locals call this mountain "Slin Dong Bayu".

Let's continue our journey.

We drove for a while and stopped again. It seems that there is something interesting here again. What is this place?

This is the old Chinatown community. There are still Chinese people living here. It is said to be hundreds of years old. I will take you to see it.

It is ancient.

This is called a dragon gate. It is a single door with two windows, which is a traditional Chinese house design.
Moreover, this is not an ordinary Chinese house. It has a rich history.
This house belonged to the "Lauhakul" family and is a Chinese-style house.
The house is built in a pure Chinese style, as mentioned earlier, with a dragon gate of one door and two windows.
It is not a mixture of the Sino-Portuguese style (the old buildings we see in Phuket or Penang).
The house is constructed using mortise and tenon joints, so no nails are used in the construction. You may ask why it is similar to Penang.
Most of the Chinese people in Sai Buri district are from Fujian province (Hokkien) who came directly from China and from Malaysia.
If you have seen other places that are decorated, but want to see the original, come here to Sai Buri.
They also hold events here during the annual festival, the Leow Aia Kong Shrine Festival. Wow, there are so many stories here.

Let's continue our journey to the beach that is said to be the landmark of Sa Buri. Let's go see how beautiful it is...

Located approximately 2-3 kilometers from the city center, Wasukri Beach awaits.

They say that there will be a fish-catching competition here. It happens every year and attracts a huge crowd from all over the world. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Extremely relaxed and comfortable.

"This isn't the best spot yet," said Anus. "There's another amazing beach nearby. I'll take you there later."
"Let's go!" I exclaimed eagerly.

We still had a lot to see on our trip. Feeling the heat, we decided to stop for some refreshments. There were countless tea shops along the way, offering a refreshing break from the sun.

While we were enjoying our tea, my brother mentioned that he wanted to take me to see another mosque. He said this place was unique, but I couldn't understand what he meant by that.

Take a closer look. This is a mosque. What's strange about it? Looking at it, the color seems familiar somehow. I can't quite place it.

The elder said that the color is similar to the "Reua Ko and" boat. Yes, that's right. It's the same art as the "Reua Ko and" boat.
Because here, the people in this area will build "Reua Ko and" boats. And do you see the top? That's where they ferment the "budu" water.
It's a great mix and match, haha!

The nude beach we saw is Wasukri Beach, which we visited earlier.
This is Ban Bon Beach (if the name is wrong, I apologize).

Approximately. Oh, wow! This is the way to go. The sea, Pattani.

This place also offers homestays at very affordable prices.

And the best part is, it's right by the sea!

Hold on! Can you really camp here? Wow, this is incredible!
Brother, can you take me camping tomorrow? I really want to experience this. Please?

However, I almost forgot that the purpose of this trip is to follow in the footsteps of our friend, Father Vading.
Oh, brother, I'm going to follow in the footsteps of our friend. Where should I go? .....
Well, if you come to Sa Buri and don't take a boat ride,
on the Sa Buri River, it's like you haven't arrived. Because this is the city of rivers.
Take a boat and then think about where to follow the trail.

Okay, let's get on the boat. The driver asked me if I could swim. I said I couldn't either, but then I realized he was the one driving the boat. Haha! Anyway, let's continue our journey.

The service is inexpensive. Two bottles of oil cost 50 baht, and then we filled up and set off.
After driving for a while, wow, the view is amazing!

The view is spectacular, with a river and distant mountains.

Mae Nam Sai Buri: Truly beautiful.

Children were playing in the water all along the way, making us truly envious of the locals. After driving for a while, we came across an island. It was incredibly beautiful!

Wow, there's an island! That's so cool.

Many people are playing in the water. I can't miss this opportunity.

He asked me to take a picture of him.

Let's go, let's continue our journey.
Then he said, "Oh, I remember where Uncle Vading met the King."
He said, "It's right here."

The image of an elderly man standing shirtless, talking to the King, dates back to 1992. At that time, the King visited the Pru Ka Ka Development Project in Sai Buri District, Pattani Province.

At that time, Uncle Wadeeng was just an ordinary villager. He wasn't wearing a shirt because he didn't believe the King would actually come. When he finally met the King, he still wasn't sure, so he reached out to touch him. Only then did he believe that the person he was seeing was the King.

The King then told Uncle Wadeeng that he would build an irrigation canal to help the villagers with their farming. The canal we see here is the Khlong Tung Ket, which Uncle Wadeeng rowed the King across. He also told the King about the villagers' hardships.

The King even tested Uncle Wadeeng by asking for land to carry out his royal project. Uncle Wadeeng immediately replied, "Give it to me." The King then bestowed upon him the title of "Royal Friend of Sai Buri."

The reason the King came directly to Uncle Wadeeng was because Uncle Wadeeng was a true expert on the area. When helping someone, it is important to ask the local people first, as they know the area better than anyone else. All the events that make up the heartwarming story of the Royal Friend of Sai Buri took place here.

**The purpose of constructing irrigation canals**

To improve the swamp area for agricultural use.
To enable farmers in the area to pursue their main occupation and have a regular income in their area.
To study the solution to the swamp problem.

As I mentioned, there is no place my father has not been.

Note: If there are any errors in the information, please forgive me.

It was another great day for me. I made new friends and learned a lot of interesting things. I would like to thank the people from Saiburi Looker again for this trip.

They say that during the hot season, the sky here at the bridge turns a beautiful orange color, reflecting off the Buri River. It must be a truly stunning sight. I can't wait for the next hot season to see it for myself.

The friendliness and way of life here make it incredibly charming.

Nightlife in Sai Buri

Unlike other places, Sai Buri doesn't have pubs or bars.

The atmosphere here is lively, just like other places, and the air is filled with the aroma of roti and tea.

At this shop, run by Brother Badi (did I get that right?), hot tea and coffee are incredibly affordable. I was surprised by the prices here.

We ordered several cups of coffee and two or three plates of roti, and when it came time to pay, the total was only 60 baht. I didn't even bother asking the individual prices.

At night, this place comes alive with numerous roti shops. It's impossible to resist the temptation, so I ordered a roti with curry. The laughter and chatter of the locals filled the air. One thing I've always wondered is whether everyone in this town knows each other. It seems like the shop owner greets every single person who drives past.

Morning of the 2nd day at Sai Buri

I borrowed a bicycle from my brother at the resort. I'm going to take it for a leisurely ride around the city, specifically the Sai Buri area.

Then go to the beach, Vasukri.

Riding around and came across Art Street. Let's take some cool pictures.

Art Street: A New and Exciting Event in Sai Buri

Art Street is a new event that emerged from the "คืนความสุขให้สายบุรี" (Return Happiness to Sai Buri) activity held last year. This exciting event promises to be a lot of fun, bringing together board game enthusiasts from all over the country to Sai Buri.

The event will feature art galleries throughout the city, showcasing the talents of local artists. According to Mr. Anus, the organizer, Art Street is planned to be an annual event. For more information and updates on exciting activities, follow Saiburi Looker on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/saiburilooker.

We have arrived at Wasukri Beach. This city is so chill.

Mountain bikes are not suitable for riding on sand. Haha!

Push it, I'm tired. Haha.

Feeling hungry, I cycled into town, heading towards the Clock Tower.

We came across a fresh market, so we stopped by to try some local food.

I encountered local food, which was fresh fish. How should I eat it? I'm so hungry!

"Just a glass of water, please. But why are you speaking Malay to me, uncle? Haha, I don't look Malay at all."

I'm thinking of having roti for breakfast, then I'll continue cycling.

But I stumbled upon a dessert shop, but it wasn't a dessert shop, it was a squid shop.
Why is it in a dessert shop? I'm confused.
This is a dessert shop, I'm so confused.

Wow!!! This house is full of squid, auntie.
Tupazu tong or sweet squid stew Oh, come and try it, it's extraordinary.
Anyway, if you come to the 3 southern border provinces, try it out.

A while later, Saiburi Looker, Anus, messaged me asking if I wanted to go camping on the beach.

**Let's go! I want to answer quickly.**

My brother took me to sleep on a beach near the back of an uncle's house. The view was similar to this.

Camping out like this, it's going to be comfortable. Tonight, the view will definitely be amazing.

Although I haven't had the chance to swim yet, I'm excited to finally be at the beach. Let's make the most of it!

The sea should be like this! Pattani Sea. Although it may not be as clear and pristine as other places, believe me, there is nothing like this anywhere else.

Let's play Cipher!

I would like to have a barbecue.

"Let's go!" he exclaimed. "That's what they say."
So we went to a place called "Grilled Fish."

No marinating or extra seasonings, just a simple dip in seawater before grilling. We enjoyed the fish in its **original** state.

The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

Fresh seafood with a seaside atmosphere, it's truly amazing.

While taking pictures, I unexpectedly encountered the aurora borealis.
That crazy thing is a squid fishing boat. 5555 This kind of atmosphere is really relaxing.

It's a pity the sky wasn't very clear, so I could only see a few stars.

Note:

In reality, there is no need to play music or create a special atmosphere. Simply boiling water, making coffee, and having a heartfelt conversation is enough. In my opinion, this simple act creates an atmosphere that words cannot describe. Thank you, feelings, for allowing me to experience the essence of Buriram.

The beautiful night ended, and he asked me how Saburi was and if there was a lot to do there.

We were blown away by the beauty of Buriram. It exceeded our expectations. We were surprised that such a stunning place wasn't more popular with tourists.

"They said they didn't want it to be a tourist city. They wanted it to be a place that follows its own path."

Take it slow and steady. Don't rush into things or you'll end up with a mess. Just do enough, and that's enough.

"Just having people who know and love Saiburi the way we do is enough for me," said Saiburi looker, Anus.

This morning, I didn't want to leave.
Let me tell you, this place will stay with me forever. This is Sai Buri.

I'm starving! Let's have some delicious seafood.

Let's pack up the tent and head home.

We entered the city to prepare for our return home. However, the bus from Sai Buri to Narathiwat arrives at 1 pm. We still have some time left.

Let's try some local food, shall we? Starting with Nasi Kerabu.

**10 baht, the taste is extraordinary. It's really amazing.**

Wandering around for a while, I wondered why there were so many people today. Walking around, I realized there was a market.

This is the Kae Yee Market, open every Wednesday. It offers a wide variety of goods, including used and new items, at very affordable prices.

It's time to go home. Anyway, for this trip, I have to thank

Sometimes we feel that the place will be like this or that.
We haven't even been there to experience it yet. Sometimes we just want to reach the destination
and forget that the journey is also important.
