No matter what the season, people always tend to go to the sea. I am one of those people who, whenever I feel sad or happy, the sea is always the answer. So this time, let's go on a trip to the sea at... Hua Hin...
Traveling to Hua Hin is now more convenient than ever. Whether by train, van, private car, or even ferry, you can easily reach this popular destination. For our trip, we opted for a road trip with three friends, driving from Ayutthaya to Hua Hin. The journey took approximately four hours and covered a distance of around 275 kilometers. We took our time, stopping at various points of interest along the way, making the trip a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
We did not plan or prepare for this trip in advance. We only booked our accommodation at Baan Kiang Fah.
This is a real shot of the room. It's very clean and has all the kitchen appliances and utensils you need.
Before checking into our accommodation, we drove to **Rajabhakti Park** to witness the grandeur of the royal monuments of seven past Thai monarchs: King Ramkhamhaeng the Great, King Naresuan the Great, King Narai the Great, King Taksin the Great, King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke (Rama I), King Mongkut (Rama IV), and King Chulalongkorn (Rama V).
Next, we head toSuan Son Pradipat, a beach located within the Royal Thai Army compound. The entrance fee is 20 baht, which goes towards the maintenance of the facilities. This beach is incredibly spacious and offers a tranquil atmosphere. The fine sand feels soft underfoot, making it ideal for swimming. Water activities such as banana boat rides are available, and there are sun loungers for rent. Additionally, the Royal Thai Army operates a convenience store on-site. If you seek a peaceful escape, where you can listen to the sound of the waves and soak in the seaside ambiance without the crowds, then Suan Son Pradipat is the perfect choice.
A row of pine trees along the coast.
If you don't know what to do, try sitting back and relaxing, taking pictures with your camera. It's a great way to enjoy yourself.
Or take pictures of white shells on the beach.
Alternatively, you could photograph plastic water bottles that children have used to scoop up seawater and left behind.
Alternatively, capturing a photograph of the dry wood pile, which serves as a trendy photo spot, could also be a good idea.
Or we could sit down and enjoy some grilled squid. This is the uncle's first batch of the day, 25 baht each, 5 for 100! 555+
Or you can take any photos you like.
However, local villagers make a living by raking and collecting clams to sell. The clams are sold at the beach for 100 baht per kilogram, and they can collect around 6-7 kilograms per day. This is not a high income, so if you are visiting the area, please consider supporting these villagers by purchasing their clams.
Cockles can be stir-fried and eaten like clams. Before cooking, they should be soaked in salt water. Then, they can be cooked as usual.
If you're tired of sitting and lying down, you can go banana boating. It shouldn't be too expensive.
A Breathtaking View from Above: Experiencing Hua Hin from a New Perspective
As the sun began its descent, casting a warm glow over the horizon, we found ourselves immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Hua Hin. After a delightful evening spent soaking in the lively ambiance, we decided to retreat to our accommodations at Baan Kiang Fah. Eager to witness the city from a different vantage point, we ascended to the 18th floor, where our room was located. From this elevated position, Hua Hin unfolded before us, revealing a captivating panorama that unveiled a new facet of this beloved seaside destination.
The view from the hotel room window is stunning.
The hotel offers a swimming pool, fitness center, library, and even a table tennis room. We took advantage of all of them.
After checking into their room, they went out to take photos on the beach at dusk.
We'll come back for more food later. This time at the sea, we'll just have some clams and crabs, okay?
Indulge in the enchanting nightlife of Hua Hin from a lofty perspective. No need to venture out, simply relax and enjoy the ambiance from the comfort of your accommodations.
Waking up in the morning (it wasn't really morning, it was 10 am), we prepared to return. Before leaving, we paid our respects to Luang Pu Thuat at Wat Huay Mongkol for good luck.
And this is another journey of ours. Our journey does not need to be luxurious, excellent, or perfect. But our journey is about being in the most authentic version of ourselves. We don't need to care about what's around us, overthink, or have a plan. We just let everything unfold naturally. And then, we will happily embark on a new journey again.
