Lake Villa Kawaguchiko: Superior Cottage Review

This review follows up on a previous review of the Standard Cottage at Lake Villa Kawaguchiko, a popular tourist destination for Thais and international travelers alike. This time, we'll be exploring the Superior Cottage and comparing it to the Standard Cottage experience.

The recent trip provided another opportunity to visit Lake Kawaguchiko with my family. This time, we were a group of six, so we opted to stay at our previous accommodation, which offered exceptional convenience. Having been impressed with our prior stay, we decided to return. For this visit, we booked the Superior Cottage, curious to see how it differed from our previous experience. Given our family size, we required ample living space, and Lake Villa Kawaguchiko perfectly met our needs.

A Family-Friendly Getaway with Stunning Views

This accommodation is perfect for families and groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly option. The price is incredibly reasonable, especially considering the breathtaking views of Mount Fuji that greet you as soon as you step outside.

This place also has an onsen, both outdoors and indoors.

The front of the house features a balcony where you can relax and enjoy the cool breeze. Alternatively, you can open the windows to let the fresh air into the house.

Upon turning back from the entrance, Mount Fuji was right before our eyes! No need to walk far at all.

The onsen here is divided into male and female sections. Inside the onsen, there are both indoor and outdoor areas. It is spacious, clean, and has a very good atmosphere.

The accommodation features a flat-screen TV with a wide range of channels for your entertainment.

The living space in the house is incredibly spacious. Even with a large family, the room doesn't feel cramped at all.

If you prefer not to share a room, there is another separate room available. It is a beautiful Japanese-style room.

Let's take a look at the kitchen. It's spacious and has a great family atmosphere. Personally, I love it because when my mom cooks, I like to help out. It's not cramped, and the kitchen equipment is close together, making it easy to grab and use. You don't have to walk far, just turn around and you'll find what you need.

Normally, when booking a vacation home, our family has to bring our own rice cooker. But here, they provide one that's big enough to cook rice for the whole family.

A full set of tableware is available, including plates, bowls, soup cups, and cutlery.

Remember to keep it clean. In the kitchen, there are separate bins for dry and wet food waste, clearly marked.

The microwave oven is readily available.

The Downside of a Single Bathroom

While the house boasts numerous advantages, one notable drawback is the presence of only one bathroom. With a household of five or six individuals, this can lead to significant queuing times, potentially causing inconvenience and frustration. Ideally, the inclusion of a second bathroom would greatly enhance the functionality and convenience of the living space.

The house has two bathrooms, one for light business.

Let's take a look at the second floor of the house. It will be a bedroom divided into two sections: one with a bed and one with a Japanese futon on the floor. Choose whichever you prefer!

The second floor feels spacious and open, as there are no walls separating it from the first floor. This creates a unique and interesting design feature.

Look down from the 2nd floor.

Personal Impressions of the Home Design and Layout

The design and layout of the house are very impressive. I felt very comfortable and relaxed during my stay. This is one of the places that I always look forward to returning to with my family. This is my second time staying here, and it has been just as enjoyable as the first.
