# Thavorn Palm Beach Resort Phuket
The sweltering heat of Bangkok was a stark contrast to the dense air mass outside the small airplane window. The sky was now overcast, filled with large, billowing clouds. A strong wind swirled, and as the plane prepared to land at Phuket International Airport, heavy rain began to fall.
Yes!
Seeking refuge from the heat, we braved the rain for a short while and ended up relaxing by the sea in Phuket.
Phuket: A City of Many Moods
Phuket is a city of many moods, with its weather changing rapidly throughout the day. One moment it can be scorching hot, leaving your back drenched in sweat, and the next it can be cool and humid, with a light mist hanging over the mountains. Suddenly, the sky darkens, and rain pours down without warning. The showers come and go, often leaving parts of the sky clear while others are drenched. If you're visiting Phuket between October and November, be prepared for anything!
Despite our love for 'traveling', we are not easily discouraged.
"Escape the heat… go sleep by the 'Le' together?"
...Whenever we feel like taking a break, the sea is always our first choice. [Anyone else...? Raise your hand] Especially Phuket Province, because it's easy to get to, you can come any season without restrictions, and the plane tickets are not expensive. It only takes a short flight to get there, so we come to Phuket often and never get bored.
Previously, I would wander around the city, eating here and there, checking out cool street art. But this trip was different. It was extra special because of the atmosphere. I escaped the heat and relaxed on the beach, sinking my feet into the soft white sand and lying by the sea with a stunning view. And the best part? I stayed at the amazing Thavorn Palm Beach Resort. :)
The journey from the airport takes approximately 45 minutes. The accommodation is located outside the city center but within easy reach of other tourist attractions. The hotel entrance is on Patak Road, and turning into it feels like entering a different world.
:: Thavorn Palm Beach Resort is located along the beachfront road of Karon Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Phuket. The hotel is separated from the beach by a small road, so it's just a short walk to the sea.
The first image presents a serene and open view, likely due to the transformation of buildings, shops, and houses into a lush garden filled with trees of various sizes. This verdant landscape extends all the way to the parking lot, creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere.
The hotel offers a peaceful and private atmosphere. The lobby is spacious and airy with high ceilings. The hotel's design incorporates a blend of Colonial and Thai Contemporary styles, creating a relaxing and luxurious ambiance.
...At the far end of the eye's reach, a 'wave' shimmered from the left corner of the room's balcony. The scenery below was a garden with a pool view. Look, the scenery below... it seemed to be beckoning us closer.
But wait! Let's put our bags down and explore the room first, because we'll be staying here for two nights.
:: This Junior Suite Pool View room accommodates two guests and offers stunning pool views from a spacious private balcony. Located on the third floor, the room also boasts partial sea views.
The spacious room, approximately 49 square meters, is decorated in a comfortable white tone. It features a dressing table, built-in cabinets, and a plush double king-size bed that invites relaxation.
In the far left corner of the room, there is a compact seating area with a comfortable daybed. Additionally, the room is equipped with free Wi-Fi and a smart TV.
The bathroom is well-maintained and divided into wet and dry areas. It features a bathtub and comes equipped with a complete set of towels and toiletries.
For us, the pristine white building stands in stark contrast to the vibrant green of the diverse plant life. The surrounding flowering plants add a touch of color, creating a harmonious visual experience.
Apart from the distant sound of waves, we believe that the tranquility of this uncrowded space, with its lush greenery, contributes to a sense of calm, clarity of mind, and visual comfort, inviting us to stroll further. This exploration reveals various facilities within the hotel, including a VIP Lounge, a well-equipped Exercise Room, and a dedicated Kids Club.
The vast gardens seem endless, no matter how long you walk. The spaciousness is truly impressive, and there are five large swimming pools scattered throughout the different zones of the resort. Some even have poolside bars! So, take your pick and enjoy a refreshing dip!
From the hotel, we can easily reach Karon Beach by simply exiting through the beachfront gate. There is a small zebra crossing with staff on hand to assist with crossing. From there, we can see the long stretch of beach against the vast blue sky. The sun is shining brightly on the beach, and tourists are out sunbathing, swimming, or strolling along the shore.
...Let's put everything on hold for now. Right now, I want to go out and take it slow... slow. Walk and listen to the waves crashing... crashing. Look at the beautiful sky... beautiful. Because this moment is really 'good' for the heart. :)
~ **KARON Beach, Phuket** is a beach that stretches as far as the eye can see, over 3 miles long, making it the longest beach in Phuket province.
Karon Beach, nestled just north of Kata Beach, separated only by a low mountain, is one of Phuket's renowned beaches offering a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for a relaxing getaway. Its fine, white sand and captivating scenery provide a delightful visual experience.
The beach is located a reasonable distance from the city center, but it is not far from other tourist attractions such as Patong Beach, Kata Beach, and Kata Noi Beach. There are plenty of shops and amenities available, making it just as convenient as being in the city center.
If you're seeking a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, where you can unwind and rejuvenate by the serene embrace of the sea, then look no further than this idyllic destination.
Coordinates: 7.844051, 98.293660 | If driving, you can access the location from both Patong and Kata. The road is a winding uphill path, requiring a moderate level of driving skill.

From Karon Beach to Kata Beach.
~ **KATA Beach, Phuket** is a beach located between **Karon Beach** and **Kata Noi Beach**, making it easily accessible. It is a well-known beach in Phuket, Thailand, and its name is likely familiar to many.
A short drive from Karon Beach, we arrived at Kata Beach in less than five minutes. Parking can be challenging, so it's recommended to drive along the beach and park wherever you find an available spot.
The sky is the same, the beaches are similar, but the atmosphere is different. Here, there are more tourists, activities, and hustle and bustle than at Karon Beach. Looking around, you'll see beautiful scenery, clear skies, and people who keep things lively. It's a different kind of vibrant atmosphere that makes it worth a visit.

From Kata Beach, take Kata-Saiyuan Road (Route 4233) towards Laem Phromthep. Drive uphill for less than 5 minutes to reach the next viewpoint, offering panoramic views of three bays. This elevated area features a parking lot below and a pavilion for enjoying the scenery above.

KARON Views Point
This vantage point offers breathtaking views of the azure ocean, crescent-shaped beach, and dramatic cloudscapes. The impending storm adds a touch of urgency to our visit.
From this vantage point, one can admire the breathtaking scenery of Kata Noi Beach, Kata Beach, and Karon Beach, as well as the small island of Koh Pu at the far left and the distant mountain range.

From here, we will head into town to find some familiar delicious food. This is the perfect time for anyone who wants to try Khao Tom Go Benz, but doesn't want to wait in line for hours. I recommend going before the restaurant even opens. How is that possible, you ask?

'Dry Rice Porridge' is a must-try dish in 'Phuket'.
This restaurant, **'Ko Benz Dry Rice Soup Phuket'**, opens around 7:00 PM. However, customers are allowed to sit at their tables about half an hour beforehand, and the queue starts forming as soon as they are seated. When the restaurant officially opens, customers can immediately order their food. Alternatively, customers can opt to dine very late at night.
One more cup before bed... you'll be hooked.
Some people ask if it's really necessary to put in so much effort. I say, come and try it yourself, and you'll find the answer.

WIND SONG Cafe: A Culinary Delight
The WIND SONG Cafe, situated on the ground floor of the hotel, offers a diverse breakfast buffet. Despite my initial reservations, the selection proved to be both extensive and enticing. The meticulously arranged dishes were not only visually appealing but also incredibly flavorful. The staff, with their warm smiles and attentive service, further enhanced the dining experience.
Another highlight is the WIND SONG Cafe, which boasts an outdoor area connected to the garden and offering pool views. The interior provides a scenic backdrop of trees and a small waterfall, creating a delightful ambiance for your dining experience.
This is our simple morning happiness :)
From the parking lot, you can see the entrance to the garden. This area is the Orchid Gardens, a collection of orchids and various tropical plants. The garden is covered with large trees, providing shade and humidity, as the rain has just stopped.
Let's immerse ourselves in the atmosphere and take a deep breath… deep. :)
Let Nature Surround Me…
Here, some trees and rocks have been with the hotel since its early days. The surrounding area is mostly lush with flowering plants. In some places, lotuses are interspersed in the flourishing ponds, raising their stems to show off their beautiful flowers. The garden is also decorated with white sculptures of various animals.
The intermittent structures encountered throughout the path are 'birdhouses' inhabited by various bird species. As you approach, they emerge with a 'tap-tap' sound, showcasing their plumage and vibrant colors. Some even fly close by, offering a captivating display.
Besides the hundreds of bird species taking turns to show off, there was also a giant turtle and a fluffy white rabbit hopping around, munching on the dew-covered grass without a care in the world.
As time slipped by unnoticed, the morning sun began to rise, casting a warm glow over the surroundings. The breakfast had long since been consumed, leaving only a faint trace of its aroma in the air. The gentle breeze carried the sound of waves crashing against the shore, inviting me to explore the nearby beach. Following a winding path through the lush gardens, I emerged onto the beachfront, where one of the hotel's most inviting restaurants awaited.
The Pizza Cooking Class
Ciao Bistro's Pizza Cooking Class is a fun and interactive activity that allows participants to make their own pizzas. The class is led by friendly and experienced chefs who guide participants through the entire process, from kneading the dough and adding toppings to baking the pizzas in a traditional wood-fired oven.
Participants will create three pizzas with different toppings: Four Cheese, Seafood (squid, shrimp, tuna), and Hawaiian. These pizzas will be enjoyed as a delicious lunch.
The dough is thin but very soft. Delicious! I'm not just saying that myself. 555
Ciao Bistro: Italian Dining with a Beachfront View
Ciao Bistro, a stylish Italian restaurant at the Thavorn Palm Beach Resort, boasts a prime location right on the beachfront of Karon Beach. This allows diners to savor their piping-hot pizzas while enjoying the fresh ocean breeze and stunning coastal views.
In addition to pizza-making classes, Ciao Bistro offers a variety of other cooking classes to choose from. Alternatively, you can relax and enjoy a glass of wine while savoring Italian cuisine accompanied by the sound of the waves.

:: Located near Ciao Bistro on the left-hand side, COFFEE TALK is a cozy café owned by the hotel. This cool café is a compact glass box overlooking the small street and the sea. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the coffee is excellent, especially for those who prefer a strong brew. It's the perfect spot for chilling out and enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee.
Coffee enthusiasts are highly recommended to try the coffee at COFFEE TALK at least once.

KARON Beach: A Paradise for Relaxation and Unforgettable Experiences
We believe that "rest" does not necessarily mean staying still. Embarking on a journey to a new place can provide a welcome respite from the burdens of daily life, allowing us to "rest" and "relax" our minds for a while.
…simply changing the sleeping space, changing the view outside the window from tall buildings to…the sea view, changing the sound of cars to…the sound of waves, changing the pavement surface to…the sandy beach. Leaving the house to spend time slowly…slowly with a good choice of 'places'.
You'll never know how amazing it is to simply change your environment and relax by the water until you experience it yourself. The feeling is truly blissful. :)
