December, the cold season has arrived... Missing the north already?

Yes, everyone wants to experience the cold weather, and a must-do is to take pictures with the "sea of mist," which is a symbol of the romantic cold that many people dream of.

However, I don't need to travel all the way to the North. Because in the South, where I live in Phang Nga province, there are also some. ^_^

Directions to Khao Khai Nui viewpoint for the "Sea of Mist" experience, Ban Fai Tha, Tung Maphrao Subdistrict, Thai Mueang District, Phang Nga Province.

1. Contact Mr. Joe at 084-3099222 or Mr. Bang Lek at 089-5931432. They will usually meet us at the Tung Maphrao Administrative Organization at 5:00 AM.

The entrance fee is approximately 120-150 baht per person. It is recommended not to drive your own vehicle, even though four-wheel drive vehicles can access the viewpoint. This is to ensure that the local landowners who own the viewpoint land can generate income from tourism and help maintain the cleanliness of the area, preserving the opportunity for everyone to enjoy the sea of mist every year.

3. The journey to the sea of mist takes approximately 20-30 minutes.

Let's go and see it!

At approximately 5:30 AM, there was no fog yet, but the "sea of stars" was already visible. There were indeed a lot of stars, but I don't know how to take pictures of stars, haha. (Here's a picture of my friend who came with me.)

At 6:00 AM, the mist began to appear faintly, making my heart skip a beat. I was afraid it would disappear.

Come on, come on, come on! Come in droves, you hear me? People have been waiting eagerly to see you!

At 6:30 a.m., the sky gradually began to brighten.

The number of onlookers has been steadily increasing, with everyone eagerly anticipating the event.

Including myself, who was hurriedly taking pictures, fearing that it would disappear.

Between 7:00 and 7:30 AM, the sky brightened, and the fog became increasingly visible and dense.

"Some say that this is only 20% of the total. Today, there are very few people. But I think that this small number allows us to see the beautiful mountain peaks lined up in a row."

The fog began to coalesce into a single, increasingly distinct sheet.

At approximately 8:00 AM, the sky was bright and the white mist was clearly visible from the viewpoint. The wind began to blow, causing the mist to flow through the mountain pass and out to the Andaman Sea.

This period is ideal for photographing people with fog, as the light is bright and the fog is very clear. Of course, there are also many people who come to see it. Hahahaha.

Approximately 8:00-8:15 AM.

The mist gradually drifted over the nearby mountainside, like a slow-motion scene that held our gaze for several minutes. The atmosphere was so captivating that I won't describe it further, instead letting the image linger.

8:30 a.m. The sun has chased away the fog, but the fresh air remains.

The immersive atmosphere, the smiles of those around me, and the shared joy of capturing memories through photography made this trip truly invaluable.
