The trip was planned since March, which was quite a while ago. As it was a trip with colleagues and old friends, we had to choose a date when everyone was available. We settled on Constitution Day, as it was a three-day weekend.
Our group of 10 travelers perfectly filled the van, making it an ideal arrangement for sharing travel expenses and keeping costs manageable.
The desired accommodation was Le Vingt Rak Thai, as we had stayed there before and it was incredibly beautiful. We were determined to stay there again, no matter how many competitors there were. The resort opened for phone bookings, and we all joined forces, dialing the phone to compete for rooms. There were thousands of calls, but we managed to secure a reservation. Hooray!
Fortunately for us, VietJet Air, a new airline, has opened a route to Chiang Mai (although not during the holiday season). So we took additional vacation days and booked a return ticket. Hehe.
News broke that our beloved Siam will soon welcome a brand-new fleet of trains, state-of-the-art marvels procured from China. Naturally, we eagerly awaited the opportunity to book our seats on this modern marvel. Alas, upon the opening of reservations, tickets for the outbound journey vanished in an instant, leaving us with nothing but a pang of regret. Consequently, we opted for a coach journey instead. Meanwhile, our colleagues who were fortunate enough to secure leave were treated to the inaugural experience. Oh, the envy!
Fortunately, Traveloka offered a 35% discount code, so I booked it right away. Agoda only offered a 7% discount, so I canceled my booking there. I've been using Traveloka a lot lately and I love it!
Tickets, accommodation, and van are all booked and paid for. Now I just have to wait for the trip. It wasn't easy to get everything organized, but there was an unexpected development: Bell had to cancel again. This is the third time she's had to cancel after paying for everything. (First time, no problem. Second time, let's try again. Third time, still can't go. Next year, there will be a fourth time. Let's see if she can't go again then. 555)
Meet at the Sombut Tour Center on Vibhavadi Road on the day of departure.
Initially, I intended to book a ticket with Nakhonchai Air, but the tickets were sold out. Consequently, I opted forสมบัติทัวร์ instead. Unfortunately, even the VIP class was fully booked, leaving me with this option. The reclining seats were not as comfortable as I had hoped, but it was better than having no way to travel.
Arriving at the arcade at 8:00 AM, even if it's half an hour late, is still considered acceptable.
No need to shower, haha. Some people just washed their faces, eyes, and brushed their teeth here. Some went to wash at the breakfast restaurant. Khao Soi Fa Ham was delicious, and then we continued our journey. After breakfast, everyone was forced to take motion sickness pills, haha. In the end, no one got sick, but everyone slept soundly.
The first stop is Huai Nam Dang National Park, which is not crowded and still beautiful as ever. (Wake up! Is this motion sickness medicine or sleeping pills?)
Pleasant and cool weather
Ornamental kale, despite its beauty, is not palatable and is therefore primarily grown for its aesthetic appeal.
A refreshing cup of iced coffee to invigorate the senses.
Departing from Huai Nam Dang National Park, we headed towards the gateway to Pai.
You can sit down after you have deposited money.
From the historic bridge (Tha Pai), you must also stop by Kon Lan (Pai Canyon).
Pai Canyon
From Khlong Lan, drive a little further and you will pass a famous coffee shop. Stop by, or you'll regret not coming.
The trees, which were barren just two months ago, are now in full bloom, welcoming tourists.
After the coffee shop, we stopped for lunch at our usual spot, ผัดไทหน้าวิน. The food was still delicious and the prices were still affordable. I don't want to advertise it too much, though, in case it gets even more popular and the prices go up!
After a satisfying meal, we headed to our accommodation for the night. We opted for a simple, all-female hostel, which was a first-time experience for everyone. Fortunately, the hostel was clean and had ample bathrooms. Its prime location, just a few steps away from the walking street, was an added bonus.
Enjoy a refreshing shower (with a hot water heater, no less!) at this affordable price. Then, head out to explore the bustling night market.
At my mother's house, the fruit falls abundantly, but here they put it in a glass and sell it. It's sour and sweet, delicious. Especially the leaves, they can be used in curry instead of MSG. It's really delicious.
I have tried papaya salad on a tray before, so I decided to try pizza on a tray. It was delicious! The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and kind.
Shop, shop, shop! They took the victim shopping and spent a lot of money.
And then we went to the accommodation. Those who were small climbed onto the bed. There were beautiful and cute foreigners on the bed opposite. 555 Good night to us tonight. ZZzzz
I have a van booked to pick me up tomorrow at 6:00 AM to go see the sea of mist. Stay tuned for part 2! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
