This trip was born from our desire to meet a friend in Krabi, so we made a date to visit the north. Haha!

My friend told me that late October would be a good time to visit Krabi because the sea is beautiful. So, Nid and I booked our tickets. We didn't even realize it was a promotional price until later! We flew with Thai Lion Air for 425 baht from Don Mueang to Krabi, departing at 11:15 AM and arriving at 12:35 PM.

Due to the extensive use of images, we will divide the review into days. The primary mode of transportation for this trip was a friend's motorcycle, with fuel costs averaging approximately 100 baht per day for three days.

October 28th marks the commencement.

Places to go

  • Tiger Cave Temple

-Walking Street

  • Khanom Jeen at Ko Choy's Shop

-Famous roti shop in front of the Vogue

The Andaman Sea is in sight! We arrived right on time.

To continue, take the white shuttle bus by purchasing a ticket inside the airport before exiting the gate. The fare is 90 baht per person, and the bus will take you to Krabi Town.

Initially, I anticipated a relatively empty train, but to my surprise, it was packed with Western tourists.

Upon arriving in the city center, we had to take a van back because it was said that it could not park. So we paid an additional 10 baht per person to get off near Lan Poo Dam. We met a friend at the Riverview Hotel, where there were plenty of accommodations and food options nearby, including a market. As it was early afternoon, we grabbed some food to fill our stomachs.

We then rode our motorbikes to Tiger Cave Temple, haha. The highlight of this place is what is enshrined on the top of the mountain, which is a very steep climb.

Seeing only 1,237 steps, Ae asked, "Are we up for it, guys?" (Ae answered himself) "Haha! And this is Before, we're definitely going to fight!"

Everything is just getting started, guys!!

The first corner is incredibly steep.

On the way up, a Westerner came down and said "Have a good trip" while soaking wet, I repeat, soaking wet, haha.

It took over an hour to reach the top, all while sipping water, inhaling aromatic balms, and snapping photos leisurely.

As we rested at each bend, we encountered more foreigners. They pointed and said, "It's almost there. There's free water and free WiFi." We were so excited, and when we climbed up, we found it was true.

I'm still tired even after climbing up here. Haha.

Despite the awkwardness, they managed to take a group photo.

This offers stunning views of both the cityscape and the surrounding mountains.

Find a corner.

The atmosphere is fantastic.

After taking enough photos, they descended back to the ground.

As I descended, the rain threatened to fall, so I hurried down the stairs, as they would become slippery if wet. The steps were also small, making it easy to lose one's footing. Additionally, there were monkeys on the mountain, so it was important not to carry loose items, as they might be snatched. A friend of mine had their water bottle taken from their hand, and they cried out in surprise.

We wouldn't dare take a picture, they might snatch our camera away. What would we do then? There's a whole flock of them over there. Sheesh.

Just a few more steps and we'll be there, but it started raining. Let's hurry! Hehe.

After leaving Tiger Cave Temple, we went back to rest at Ae's room. It was good to have a friend there to stay for free. Hehe. While waiting for dinner, Ae took us to the walking street (open Friday, Saturday, Sunday) to eat rice noodles and fried chicken at Khao Jee Restaurant.

A plate of rice noodles costs 30 baht, while a piece of chicken costs 20 baht. There are various curries to choose from, depending on your preference. Boiled eggs are also available for those who want them.

Free vegetables on the tray, delicious too.

After finishing our meal, we continued our leisurely stroll.

The atmosphere is great again, haha.

Abundant and diverse food options.

The seafood looks delicious.

The first night ended with a delicious roti from a famous shop (open daily). It was so good, but the wait was long! (They didn't hear me when I called out my order.)

We ordered two types of roti: crispy roti and banana roti. The total price was around 70-80 baht. It was delicious and we enjoyed it very much.

That's enough for today. We're all tired and sore, haha. Tomorrow, we'll continue our journey to the 4 islands!
