..Mountain View Stars..

First of all, I would like to say that this trip was not planned in advance because it was a long holiday during the New Year festival. Therefore, in order to avoid any problems that might arise, we decided that there would be no travel this year. However, staying at home without any activities (for us) would make our lives meaningless. Because all we could do was sleep, eat, sit, and watch TV. So, something inspired us to go out and have a new experience again. That is, to go somewhere not far from our home and we have been there before and thought it was okay, so we decided on Doi Samer Dao, which is located in Tambon Si Satchanalai, Amphoe Na Noi, Nan Province (the decision was made by me alone because this time we went on a mini-trip, which was me, my sister, my brother, and my sister's boyfriend). So we started to prepare only the necessary things for this trip, with the main menu being instant noodles, grilled meatballs, grilled pork, and the indispensable blanket, because it is very cold at our house, so it must be cold tonight as well. When we got everything we needed, our trip started on January 2, 2017 at 12.00 pm. We headed out from Uttaradit Province, passing through Tha Pla District, Nam Pat District, Fak Tha District, Ban Khok District, and cut into Na Noi District, a distance of about 202 kilometers, taking about 3 hours and 30 minutes. Along the way, we got a beautiful view of the scenery on both sides of the road, so we took some pictures as souvenirs.

My sister and I share a passion for photography, while the other two guys are primarily focused on resting their eyes during our travels.

This is the path we took.

The atmosphere and view are truly beautiful.

At the entrance to Pha Chu

Oh, I forgot to mention! On the way, we tried to contact the accommodation on Doi Pha Hom Pok, but we couldn't get through. So, we searched on Google.com for any places or accommodation where we could stay for the night. We found a place called Mon Kiang Dao and contacted them without knowing what the accommodation would be like. But since we were eager to travel, we decided to go with the flow and see what happened. After that, we arrived at our accommodation for the night. I can only say one word: "amazing".

We offer tent accommodation for only 500 baht per night per tent. This price includes amenities. We have both dome and cabin tents available. If you are interested in a specific type, please reserve it with our staff in advance.

Upon arriving at Mon Kien Dao, visitors are greeted by a breathtaking sight that compels them to pull over and capture the moment. A field of sunflowers adorns the hillside, creating a picturesque backdrop for the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the mesmerizing morning mist.

This is our mini-gang for this time.

A breathtaking view greeted us upon our arrival.

A little more.

The other side

After enjoying the scenery and taking photos, we decided to refuel with a barbecue at Mon Kiang Dao. The resort has a restaurant on-site, so we didn't have to leave the premises. For 199 baht, we got a complete set of pork barbecue with a stove, charcoal, and a pan. It was delicious and filling. We also had some rice, with the highlight being the stir-fried basil pork, which was reasonably priced at 40 baht per plate. However, we had already stopped by Tesco Lotus in Nam Pat, so we brought some additional food, including a piece of salmon (for 4 people), instant noodles, bacon, enoki mushrooms, sausages, and an extra set of pork barbecue. We also bought two boxes of stir-fried minced pork with rice. For tonight, we planned to eat moderately. Oh, I almost forgot! We also brought two bamboo sticky rice tubes from my mother's house.

Let's eat together. I'm hungry. Hehe.

Grilled, the person who grilled is very dark.

Grilled pork is also here.

Grilled pork and bacon wrapped golden needle mushrooms.

A single piece of salmon, enough for four people (although I actually ate it all myself, since the others wouldn't join me. Sigh!)

After a delicious dinner, it was time to lie down and gaze at the stars. But wait! We could see the stars perfectly, but how could we capture them? We managed to take a few photos, but without a professional camera, our phone could only do so much. Still, we're grateful for it, as without it, we wouldn't have these memories. We drifted off to sleep surrounded by a multitude of stars, bidding us goodnight.

Upon waking, our accommodation provided complimentary coffee, Ovaltine, tea, and rice porridge. We opted for a cup of hot coffee, which was a refreshing way to start the day. The coffee paired perfectly with the morning mist.

The breathtaking view of the mist from our accommodation at Mon Kiang Dao has made this morning truly refreshing.

Not alone, for I am amidst the fog.

The fog is truly beautiful.

After an exhilarating adventure, we embarked on our return journey to resume our daily lives. We departed on January 2, 2017, at 12:00 PM and arrived back home on January 3, 2017, at 11:50 AM. This 24-hour mini-trip was an ideal blend of fulfillment and joy. We hope this experience will be a cherished memory for both us and you. Thank you, 24-hour mini-trip.

Note: It is advisable to plan your trips in advance for various reasons. Our accommodation for this trip was Mon Kieng Dao. To reach there, pass through the toll booth before the ascent to Doi Pha Hom Pok. At the three-way junction, turn left and follow the signs for approximately 800 meters. The road is unpaved and single-lane, but safe due to the honking of oncoming vehicles. If you seek a less crowded alternative to Doi Pha Hom Pok, we recommend Mon Kieng Dao. Oh, and we used only our mobile phones for photography: iPhone 5S, Oppo R7Plus, and True Lenovo Vibe C.
