Hello from my home to yours.

Oh my goodness! Fun in all forms.

Bangkok > Udon Thani > Vang Vieng > Luang Prabang

A trip for the poor. Oh... I almost ran out of money to go home.

#I don't understand Lao at all.

DAY 1

The flight departs at 6:00 AM and arrives in Udon Thani. Purchase a connecting bus ticket to Vang Vieng. The only available bus departs at 8:30 AM. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, arriving in Vang Vieng at 2:00 PM. Check into your accommodation and rent a bicycle to explore Vang Vieng. Relax and enjoy the evening, as it will be late by the time you arrive.

The cost of living in Laos is significantly higher than in Thailand. Food, drinks, and daily necessities can be twice as expensive.

"40 baht for stir-fried basil with a fried egg here, but 80 baht over there. #This is too much #Didn't know before #Thought I'd be rich when I arrived #So poor #It's like living in Siam Paragon #Ruined #Bought snacks and instant noodles to stock up at the Udon Thani transport station."

✓ Upon arrival at Vang Vieng Bus Station, a free shuttle service will be provided to transport you to Vang Vieng town center.

Some accommodations offer private car pick-up, but it depends on luck.

Renting a motorbike for a self-guided tour may not be the most cost-effective option. Consider purchasing a 1-day tour package in Vang Vieng for a more economical experience.

You can inquire with the accommodation about 1 Day Trip tours within the city. There are many options available.

Vang Vieng is perfect for adventure lovers. We loved it! #Perfect for getting drunk 555

✓ Individuals who rely heavily on social media should consider purchasing a SIM card, as hotel Wi-Fi is often unreliable. #unreliableeverywhere #end

✓ Roti and crêpes are national dishes of Laos? I see them everywhere. #confused

Day 2

Waking up at 4 am to cycle to Pha Ngern before dawn.

Three people rode bicycles together, using the flashlight of a mobile phone as a headlight.

Ascend Pha Ngern at 5:00 AM and descend by 7:00 AM to continue the journey.

Yesterday, I booked a 1-day trip with the accommodation. #PhaNgern is so beautiful. #Must-visit.

1 Day Trip: The itinerary includes a visit to a water cave, an elephant cave, kayaking, and the Blue Lagoon.

Cave water: Sit on the rubber ring and wait for the cave. Then bark and howl, making a lot of noise and having fun. #Uh-huh

Elephant Cave: Nothing special, just a rock that resembles an elephant. We paid our respects and cast divination blocks. #Done

Kayaking: The most enjoyable but time-consuming option, taking nearly 2 hours to paddle back to the point where you can catch a ride to the Blue Lagoon.

After visiting the Blue Lagoon, we returned to our accommodation. Today was a day packed with activities, it was awesome!

✓ Silver Cliff is accessible from 4:00 AM to 6:00 PM with guided tours available.

The steep path was exhausting, but there was no need to fear death. There were shops at the top, but they were very expensive.

He must have carried the goods up the mountain to sell. #Respect #OMG

✓ Laos is a country that is always foggy, regardless of the season. #This is according to a Thai man who married a Lao woman there.

✓There are as many Westerners and Koreans as Laotians, and most of them are good-looking. 555 #Fins

✓ I really dislike the Blue Lagoon. It feels like everyone is competing in a world diving championship. When someone is about to jump, everyone cheers and all eyes are on them. #What is this? #Confused #Done #Don't bother coming #It's far away anyway 555

DAY 3

The journey to Luang Prabang continues by car. The car will pick you up at the hotel at 9:00 AM (purchased from the hotel yesterday after returning from the 1-day trip). Arrive in Luang Prabang around 3:00 PM.

Take a tuk-tuk to the accommodation, relax, and then go out to find tickets for the return trip to Udon Thani.

He surveyed motorcycle prices before strolling through the evening market.

✓ The vehicle that ascended from Vang Vieng was a minivan. The route from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang was very winding.

A passenger vomited on the bus due to motion sickness. #If you get motion sickness, take medication beforehand. The scenery along the way was beautiful, like being in a foreign country. I loved it. If you want to take beautiful pictures, sit in the front seat next to the driver. #Amazing

✓ Luang Prabang is a very peaceful city, perfect for relaxing, napping, and visiting temples.

✓ If you run out of money, you can use a Thai ATM card to withdraw money there. #SuperPeak #Didn't think the cost of living would be so expensive. #Bring 5000+ money to stay here. #Cry #Borrow money from friends 555

DAY 4

Wake up at 5 am to offer food to monks. Have breakfast afterwards.

Renting a motorbike to ride to Tad Kwang Si Waterfall. The motorbike ride was quite a distance.

We spent half a day at the waterfall, which has several beautiful spots. You can also swim in the water.

The water is very cold. #goosebumps #mostly foreigners are swimming.

After that, we returned to the hotel to rest and relax. In the evening, we went to Phra That Phu Si to enjoy the view.

You can walk to Luang Prabang. When you come back down, you can walk around the night market for a bit.

I will board the sleeper bus I purchased back to Vientiane and then transfer to another bus from Vientiane to Udon Thani.

Before reaching the waterfall, you will encounter a small community selling souvenirs. You will easily spot Lao children wearing adorable outfits standing by the roadside. These children will be holding bags and saying "1 Dolla" in a cute manner.

✓ The Tad Kwang Si Waterfall has an entrance fee, but it is well worth the cost.

✓Phu Si Temple also charges an entrance fee, just like all the other temples here. #Exhausted

We are not particularly fond of visiting temples, so we chose this one because it offered the most photo opportunities. 😜

✓ The walking street market is open daily from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It is full of vendors selling a variety of goods and food.

✓ The market offers affordable vegetarian buffets and cheap grilled pork. I stumbled upon them by chance, located behind the market by the river. It was packed with people, and the food was delicious. #Respect #LoveSurveying 555

DAY 5

Slept on the sleeper bus all night. Woke up in the morning at Vientiane Bus Station and then took a bus.

The bus will drop you off at the bus station (you need to pay attention to this, as it is not the final stop for the bus). At the bus station, there are tour buses from Vientiane that go directly to Udon Thani. You can buy a ticket and board the bus there.

The bus only has one departure time, which is 8:00 AM. We almost missed it, so hurry up.

✓Sleeper bus tickets back to Vientiane and then to Udon Thani can be purchased from various companies throughout the city. There are many options to choose from, and sleeper buses come in a range of prices. Our sleeper bus has double beds, which can accommodate two people. If you are traveling with an odd number of people, you will need to share a bed with someone else. #Terrible

The overnight journey took the entire night, departing from Luang Prabang at 19:00 and arriving in Vientiane at 06:00.
