Media Appreciation Event 2017

Hello.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted a media appreciation event to launch the "Amazing Thai Tourism: Deep and Meaningful" project at The China House, a Chinese restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. The event was graced by Mr. Chatchai Chinkam, Director of Domestic Public Relations at TAT.

Introductions were made by various media outlets in a friendly and lively atmosphere.

At the event, Chef Andy Liang, the head chef of The China House, prepared "Yee Sang," a lucky dish symbolizing good fortune, prosperity, and wealth. The dish consists of various ingredients, including raw salmon, fresh vegetables, pickled vegetables, crispy fish skin, crispy noodles, and pomelo.

Engage in the "Loeh" ritual, a traditional Thai ceremony involving the communal tossing of food high in the air to bring good luck and prosperity throughout the year.

Yee Sang is a dish with a diverse range of flavors and textures, emphasizing sweetness for easy consumption and deliciousness, and carrying auspicious meanings.

Don't miss out on receiving auspicious oranges from The China House restaurant.

The event concluded with a group dinner at River Terrace, a riverside restaurant offering an international seafood barbecue buffet. The experience was highly satisfactory, with senior executives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand joining the meal in a friendly atmosphere. Staff from the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok provided attentive service throughout the evening.
