Hello, this is my second time writing a review with readme. I must first say that I am a low-income office worker who wants to visit beautiful places and create good memories for myself. I never show off my wealth because I have nothing to show off. I don't have the money to travel luxuriously. I am a person who can eat anything and sleep anywhere. I sometimes hitchhike, which saves me a lot of money on travel.

This trip was inspired by a random search for unseen destinations, which led me to the captivating Phu Huai Isan. The stunning photos of its misty mountains sparked my desire to visit. However, traveling as a backpacker without a car presented a logistical challenge. After researching various reviews, I embarked on my journey from Mo Chit, booking a bus from Bangkok to Si Chiang Mai. I informed the ticket inspector that my final destination was Sangkom District. Upon arrival, I waited for the Nong Khai-Muang Loei bus. **Fortunately, I encountered a kind woman who was being picked up by her partner near the Krua Mai Nam restaurant. I politely requested a ride, and they graciously agreed. My sincere gratitude to the generous Thai people.**

Upon arrival, the shop will be located on the roadside. You will see this sign.

Upon entering, you will find a coffee shop where you can relax. #Remember to book a tent with the owner in advance if you plan to visit. The price is 300 baht and includes pillows and bedding. The phone number for Krua Mai Nam restaurant is 085 001 7411. The coffee shop is located on the side of the road. Once you see the coffee shop, you have arrived at Krua Mai Nam.

This person is the owner of Krua Mai Nam. You can consult him, he is kind.

This is the atmosphere inside the shop.

Upon entering, you will see a vast open space. This is the Gongteng field where we will be sleeping tonight.

This is a tent for rent with a wooden kitchen for 300 baht. It comes with a bed and is the cheapest in the area. We are also one of the first businesses to offer this service. Don't worry about food, as the shops are open until 10pm. The bathrooms are very clean.

Okay, here's the translation:
"Based on the price, I figured I have plenty of time before tomorrow morning. I might as well go on a boat trip. The only bummer is that I have to pay for the whole boat myself since no one else is willing to split the cost. But I think it'll be worth it."

Around 4 pm, my uncle arrived at the kitchen, ready to go. I gave him a thumbs up and we were off.

The destination Uncle is heading to is a place called "Phan Khoad Saen Krai" on the Lao side. The name suggests that there are thousands of rock formations and hundreds of thousands of lemongrass plants. However, the access to the sunset viewing spot seems challenging.

A local fishing boat happened to be passing by, so I asked the uncle if I could take a quick picture.

Pretend to be cool.

This picture looks just like you, Dad. 55 Hello, Dad.

Not very handsome, difficult poses, many older brothers, hehe.

Let's take turns being the model. Haha.

We will be standing on the Lao side, while the sun sets on the Thai side over there.

The atmosphere is similar to the 3000 waving ceremony in Ubon Ratchathani.

Nothing special, just the dot disappeared. But the highlight was when we were on the boat and the scenery was so chill.

The next morning, around 5:00 AM, we waited for the "e-tag" car in front of the restaurant. There were six of us, including the people from the tent next door. (This was the beginning of a friendship with strangers.) The road was empty, without a single car in sight. I loved the atmosphere, which was unlike anything I had ever experienced in Bangkok.

Check the road clearance.

Here comes the star of the morning: the อีแต๊ก car.

The road is too steep and dark for cars to climb, so the only way to get up is by riding an e-taek. It's almost a 45-degree incline, so you really need to rely on the e-taek driver.

It was incredibly dark. Our car was the fastest, and we were the first to arrive. It was awesome!

This is a racing car from Huai Isan. Remember its face.

When the sky cleared, we asked our companions to take a picture of us, striking a pose with our faces turned upwards. The result is shown in the following image.

The monk has started to emerge.

After finishing, we had to hurry down to go to Nong Khai city center. The bus runs approximately 3 times a day. The first round is around 6 am, the second round is around 10:30 am, and the last round is around 3 pm. It is a green bus from Muang Loei to Nong Khai. My friends and I (5 people) waited for the 10 am green bus.

As I boarded the bus, a wandering monk was seated behind me. He asked, "Are you enjoying your trip? You have a beautiful girlfriend." I replied, "No, I don't." He said, "I know, but your girlfriend will be small and white." I couldn't help but raise my hand in agreement.

After arriving at Nong Khai station, my five friends and I took a skylab car to the front of Tha Sadet Market. The fare was approximately 60 baht.

And then we went looking for accommodation, as shown in the picture. #Many thanks to my brothers for letting me join the trip. I just found out that my brother also runs a page, he's a real backpacker.

This person is kind. Last night at the tent, they brought me cake. Thank you very much.

It should be sour, right? Hehehe.

After a long walk, I finally found a luxurious yet affordable accommodation. I opted for a fan room at 250 baht. The accommodation is conveniently located right next to the skylab in front of the market.

It is also a restaurant.

My brother and I stayed here and took the opportunity to go our separate ways. I also took the opportunity to say goodbye and thank you for allowing a rough-looking person like me to join you in your memories. Thank you very much, brothers.

Arriving at the Mekong River, we enjoyed some local cuisine, specifically a spicy catfish hotpot.

After that, I went to walk around the Tha Saed market, which is nearby. It only takes a few minutes to walk there. The atmosphere is similar to the Talad Rot Fai market. There wasn't anything particularly unique about the goods.

"Uncle, how do I look in the picture? Am I handsome?"

As we continue walking through the market, we will eventually reach the riverside road.

We arrived at the accommodation to prepare for another walk in the evening.

Elderly women will perform an Arabic dance to showcase their sexiness. ;)

Five baht for a drop, stand and listen for 500. Hehe.

As we walked, we got hungry. When we were hungry, we found a delicious hot pot. It's a pork hot pot, and the atmosphere is great. We had to order it. Even if you're alone, it's cheap. It's only 150 baht, and you can sit for as long as you want.

Signing off with a sizzling hot picture. See you on the next trip!
