Doi Inthanon: A Lush Oasis in the Summer Heat

Doi Inthanon, formerly known as "Doi Luang" or "Doi Ang Ka," is a majestic peak nestled within the Himalayan mountain range. Standing tall at 2,565 meters above sea level, it reigns as the highest mountain in Thailand. While winter draws tourists with its mesmerizing sea of mist and vibrant blooms, Doi Inthanon unveils a unique charm during the summer months.

This verdant paradise offers a refreshing escape from the scorching heat, boasting a cool and tranquil atmosphere. Lush forests and pristine water sources paint a picture of ecological abundance. Let's embark on a visual journey through the captivating landscapes of Doi Inthanon in late April, witnessing the flourishing ecosystem in its full glory.

Despite the arrival of summer, the surrounding forest remains lush and green.

Wachirathan Waterfall still has water. The air is clear and refreshing. The water spray in the air makes you feel cool and comfortable.

Mae Ya Waterfall still has water for swimming. ^^

Let's go see Sirithar.

Siritharn Waterfall is also beautiful.

Siriphum Waterfall still has water flowing.

The lush, verdant forest surrounds the waterfall.

Let's take a quick detour to the Royal Project and feed the adorable swans.

The black swan in this pond was donated to the Royal Project Foundation by Bird Thongchai McIntyre.

There are now many black and white swans.

Let's go to the Royal Agricultural Station Doi Inthanon Restaurant for lunch.

The atmosphere here is great. The food uses mostly ingredients from the Royal Project, which are fresh and clean. There are a variety of fresh vegetables and cold-weather plants. The prices are moderate, ranging from 60-300 baht depending on the menu. Opening hours: Daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices. The food is tasty, especially the bacon fried rice and the crispy rice crackers from the Royal Project.

This concludes our brief trip review. ^^
