Seeking vitamin SEA for a peaceful mind... Indulge in a relaxing life on Koh Kood.

Do you find yourself, like me, thinking that traveling is all about "going on a wild adventure"? You believe that traveling should involve exploring new places, trying delicious food, shopping, taking pictures, and visiting various attractions.

Then, when you return home, you complain about being sore and tired... and you cry out, "Can I just take another vacation?" 55555

We often forget that "relaxation" is an integral part of travel. For those seeking a relaxing getaway, we recommend Koh Kood Paradise Beach Resort on Koh Kood Island, Trat Province.

"Travel broadens our horizons," a quote that inspired us to embark on a journey of discovery. We created a small page called "Escape Work, Travel" and a blog at www.ibreak2travel.com.

Looking back, we were once "a full-time employee who loves to travel" and "a full-time employee who wants to travel." Despite our differences, we found a common ground that led us to create a page to inspire fellow working individuals to join us on our adventures.

Anyone can follow our footsteps. Like our page to show your support and let us know you're with us. Remember, "work hard, play hard."

Let's escape together.

The beach in front of the resort boasts stunning views. We took a ferry from Laem Sok Pier to Ao Salad Pier on Koh Kood, which took approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. From there, a songthaew ride of 15-20 minutes brought us to Koh Kood Paradise Beach Resort.

The ferry ride from the mainland takes only 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with refreshing cold towels and welcome drinks.

At first glance, I liked it. It blends Thai elements well.

As mentioned earlier, this trip will be a true "relaxing vacation". Therefore, we will spend most of our time at Koh Kood Paradise Beach Resort. Let's follow the review of the different parts. ^_^ The atmosphere of the resort.

Personally, we like beachfront resorts that are designed in a tropical style. It gives a feeling of harmony and connection with the surrounding nature. Moreover, the resort incorporates Thai-style gables, making the design concept even stronger.

Located on Tapao Beach (near the deep-water pier), the resort is designed to face the sea and is surrounded by tall coconut trees. Stylish wooden walkways connect the villas to communal areas such as the fitness center, restaurant, swimming pool, and lobby.

The presence of a lotus pond enhances the ambiance.

The swimming pool offers a breathtaking view of the ocean.

For fitness enthusiasts, the well-equipped gym is available for your use.

The architect's playful use of orange in the Infinity Pool adds a vibrant touch to the resort, creating a lively atmosphere. The addition of a bar allows guests to relax and enjoy the sunset, making it a favorite spot within the resort.

The bartenders here are highly skilled.

Picturesque sandy beach, azure sea, crystal-clear water.

The highlight of Hat Tapao is its white sand, clear water, and beautiful blue sea.

We often think that the Gulf of Thailand is not as beautiful as the Andaman Sea. However, this is not the case. The sea at Koh Kood is truly beautiful, and Koh Kood Paradise makes excellent use of this.

Muay was so happy that she jumped into...

The watercolor is beautiful.

The beachfront view offers a stunning panorama of the deep-sea port bridge stretching out into the ocean. From the resort, guests can leisurely stroll to the pier to witness breathtaking sunsets. Alternatively, the beachfront itself provides an equally captivating view of the setting sun. (Unfortunately, during my visit, heavy clouds obscured the sunset.)

This is a beautiful spot for portrait photography with your partner.

For those who enjoy swimming in the sea and engaging in water activities, the resort provides canoes and life jackets. For those who prefer to relax and enjoy the sea view, the resort also offers swings. Feel free to choose your preferred activity.

Playing water in the late afternoon is a good idea, it's not hot.

There is a swing to sit and play.

The little girl with a bun hairstyle enjoys playing on the swing very much.

Koh Kood Paradise Resort offers two main types of accommodation: 29 beachfront villas and 40 hotel rooms located at the back of the property. Epring and Yai Muay stayed in a villa, which boasts a spacious 50 square meters of living space. The villas are decorated in a tropical style, with wood and concrete as the primary materials.

Recommended menu and food taste

For the food, I would like to divide the review into two parts: breakfast and dinner. Each meal has a different style. Let's start with breakfast first.

Breakfast

The resort typically offers a buffet-style breakfast with American breakfast options (such as fried eggs, omelets, ham, bacon, and sausages), pancakes, rice porridge, bread, salad, fruits, etc. This is the standard breakfast offering. However, if you prefer an à la carte breakfast, you can order from the waiter.

Of course, we had to order every breakfast menu item to see if it lived up to the hype, even if it meant skipping work. I was willing to sacrifice my waistline for the sake of this review.

The breakfast menu looks delicious.

#1 Eggs Benedict

A classic egg dish made by cracking a raw egg into simmering water with diluted vinegar. Served with bacon, sausage, ham, tomatoes, and hash browns. The taste is excellent, I highly recommend it.

Egg Benedict: A delightful and highly recommended dish.

#2 Fried egg with ham, sausage, and bacon.

The breakfast menu offers standard American fare with a consistent taste. Notably, the eggs can be cooked to your preference; simply inform the waiter if you prefer them cooked or uncooked.

Fried egg, ham, and sausage, standard flavor.

#3 Omelette

If you eat too much, your savings will leak because of "saving-leak" 5555 It's a bit dry, so I won't play anymore. The omelet menu tastes good. The eggs are cooked evenly but not hard. You won't be disappointed if you order it.

The chef cooked the omelet perfectly.

#4 Waffles with honey

This dish is decent, but I personally don't enjoy this style of waffle.

Waffle with honey, a classic flavor.

#5 Pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar (and honey)

We enjoyed the pancake batter here. It was fragrant and delicious. This dish is a success.

Dinner

Next is the dinner menu that the resort has selected the best dishes

Indulge in a culinary journey with a selection of dishes that tantalize the taste buds. Each plate is meticulously crafted and presented with an artistic flair.

#1 Smoked Duck Breast

The first bite was a revelation. The perfectly cooked duck breast, paired with a flavorful vegetable sauce that struck the perfect balance between richness and subtlety, left an unforgettable impression. We were thoroughly impressed.

#2 Green Curry Seafood Spaghetti

This dish is presented in a stylish manner, accompanied by breadsticks. The seafood is fresh, and the spaghetti is cooked perfectly. The restaurant's curry is exceptional; those visiting Koh Kood Paradise Resort should definitely try their curries or coconut curries. This establishment truly excels in the art of curry preparation.

#3 Chicken Curry with Naan

The dish is served in a large portion, featuring perfectly stewed chicken thighs and drumsticks that melt in your mouth. The curry paste is flavorful and comes with a cinnamon stick, naan bread, and pickled vegetables. The taste is excellent.

#4 Grilled Pork Salad

This dish speaks for itself. Order it and enjoy the bold, spicy flavors. We loved it!

#5 Stir-fried rice noodles with fresh shrimp

Wow! This is the most beautifully presented fresh shrimp Pad Thai I have ever seen. The taste lives up to its appearance, it's incredibly delicious. You won't regret ordering this dish!

Sweet Endings

#1 Chocolate Mousse

This dish offers a standard taste, making it a safe and satisfying choice without being exceptional or a must-try.

#2 Oreo Chocolate Pie with Mint Caramel

This "must-try" dish is a must-order for any visitor. It's truly delicious, but I won't spoil the surprise. Come and try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Services

As a newly established resort on Koh Kood (opened in late 2016), the service is still under development. Most of the staff are local residents of Koh Kood, who are all smiling and attentive. We could feel their sincerity and dedication from their eyes.

During our three-day, two-night stay at Koh Kood Paradise Beach Resort, we were consistently impressed by the warm hospitality and exceptional service provided by the staff.

The staff always greet us with a friendly smile.

Why you should visit

This tropical-style resort boasts thoughtful design and a relaxed atmosphere. It offers food and beverages at reasonable prices, with delicious flavors. The resort's convenient location makes it ideal for couples, both Thai and international, or small families of 4-6 people.

This resort is not suitable for those who intend to party or make loud noises while swimming. If you are interested in this type of activity, it is recommended that you stay at other beaches, where you will be more satisfied.
