Hello everyone… I bow to you all.
After a long absence from the keyboard, I'm back. This post has been marinating for almost a month now. I actually have a lot more to brag about, but let's do something different this time. I went out with some friends.
Definition of "friends" in this context:
Friends are people I'm not necessarily close to, classmates from high school, people who are easy to hang out with, and who enjoy a carefree lifestyle.
Before the gathering, a friend of a friend somehow arranged a meeting. There was some drama and laughter, but in the end, we had 10+1 people with whom we shared our fate. ((I must say that "grey" is not the color of our shirts, but of our hearts. Haha! See? The topic is not grey at all, but rather dark.))
Memorable phrase of this trip: Smile beautifully, don't smile ugly.
Travel
>>Some...travel from Bangkok by van. You can get on at Mo Chit. Contact phone number 080-981-9603. Price 160 ฿.
>>Some participants drove their own cars from Udon Thani and Maha Sarakham provinces, traveling approximately 280 kilometers along Mittraphap Road to Pak Chong.
Our meeting point was Lotus Pak Chong for the convenience of buying barbecue items and socializing during the night. The cost of meat, vegetables, and alcohol (almost 4,000 baht) was quite high.
**Day 1**
The journey to Khao Yai began in 2017 on Thana Rat Road, leading to Khao Yai National Park.
Before we begin, let's fuel up for lunch. Today, we'll enjoy a casual meal at a roadside eatery. The food here is delicious, especially the fluffy omelets. I can't recall the name of the restaurant, but it's located on Thanon Thanarat.
The first photo stop we couldn't help but notice during our journey was "Midwinter Green."
"Midwinter Green" is located on Thanarat Road, on the way to Khao Yai National Park. It is a restaurant that serves European and Thai fusion cuisine.
The white, smoked building stands tall and beautiful.
**We didn't eat a lot of the food, but we wanted to advertise it for the owner because he was kind enough to let us park and take pictures for free!**
Next, we intended to stop by "The Chocolate Factory" for a sweet and bitter treat. However, the place was packed, and it seemed like they were doing brisk business. We must admit that we've been there twice, but there were no seats available either time. We could only manage to buy some ice cream from their storefront, which was delicious nonetheless.
The scorching sun is evident in the ice cream melting in my hand. I can't recall the exact price, but it must have been around 50 baht.
Big Brother Bear, the Big Eater
The scorching sun, reaching 36 degrees Celsius, left us feeling drained. Seeking respite, we headed to our pre-booked accommodation.
For the night, we found refuge at "Mam Village Resort." Our reservation secured a space for 12 individuals, encompassing 2 bedrooms, a living room, a karaoke setup, and a balcony overlooking a small pool, perfect for barbeque gatherings. The cost, approximately 4,000 baht, was settled through Agoda.
**Disclaimer: This is an unsolicited endorsement. Payment was made independently, with costs shared amongst the group.**
Note: For accommodation, check the GPS carefully, otherwise you might get lost like us. The person who booked it went according to the page.
Fortunately, we were smart and called Ms. Savitri. Haha, it wasn't our friends who led us astray, but the GPS. We blamed the software.
The staff here are very friendly and provide excellent service. If you need anything, just ask, and they will do their best to assist you.
Tread carefully... Avoid any conflict with them. With their influence, you could easily disappear without a trace.
This person is not actually gray, but rather completely black.
As dusk settled, we embarked on a journey to Khao Yai National Park, eager to witness the breathtaking sunset at the "Sai Sorn Reservoir." As the evening progressed, the air grew increasingly cool, and the drive up the mountain with the windows down was an exhilarating experience.
To stand alone and lonely
Or standing there thinking of someone
Or maybe standing is too weak, lying down is lonely.
Let's get down from Khao Yai!
*** The "Fit So" mission to watch the sunset is complete. One car went to cook food, while the other went to get extra ingredients. 555+ ***
She ditched her friend to come hang out with us. Nobody was interested in taking pictures at the night party, probably because they were too hungry.
Day 2
Upon waking, we discovered a stream beside our accommodation, perfect for a delightful canoeing experience. The scenic beauty of the surroundings further enhanced the enjoyment.
Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be an extraterrestrial being attempting to enter the country illegally.
"I think this boat is better suited for one person," my friend said nervously as we paddled. They were clearly scared.
Oh no, water is coming in!
And I must say goodbye to Maem Village Resort with this picture.
Next stop: "The Birder's Lodge"
A popular destination for visitors to Khao Yai, this lodge offers a variety of amenities, including accommodations, dining, beverages, and souvenirs.
We visited the gift shop, where we found a variety of local products, including delicious mushroom sausages and ice cream. The ice cream was so popular that there was a long line of people waiting to buy it.
The ice cream was a bit pricey at 60 baht per cone, but it was worth it.
The party was wild and crazy.
"No matter how broken you are, don't be like this person. Trusting someone beautiful doesn't always work out."
Hipsters will love it.
Coming alone.
Come as a pair ((teasing))
Came with friends
Whether you're coming as a family or as a group, "The Birder's Lodge" can accommodate all your needs.
Reservations can be made by calling 081-645-4252 or 044-300-185.
The chocolate Factory is back! This time, I bought some souvenirs to take home. However, I left them at the store for now because there were so many customers. To improve the experience, it would be better to have a separate area for visitors to browse and sample the products.
The next stop is Premium Outlet Khao Yai, a shopper's paradise with amazing SALE deals.
This outlet boasts a wide selection of renowned brands and even features live bulls for entertainment.
If you get tired from all the shopping, there are horses available for riding.
The final destination, a name that may be familiar to us, is "Wat Phra Khao" or Wat Theppitak Punnaram.
To get there, take the Mittraphap Road, the same road as the Outlet Mall. When you reach Khlang Dong, at the 150th kilometer marker, there will be a岔路口 turnoff that leads to the temple. It is about 2 kilometers from the main road.
You will see a large white Buddha statue standing majestically on the mountain.

>> Although we may not have been very close before this trip, the journey allowed us to become more familiar with each other and to develop a sense of camaraderie.
Every journey has its obstacles and joys, but in the end, it's the happiness along the way that matters.
The mere possession of it brings us joy. This post may not be of much use to public transport users.
Ultimately, the best and most beautiful places to relax and unwind are simply those that we recommend.
See you in the next post. I have a lot of trips to share.
