Where should we go this winter break, holiday, or New Year's?

The most common answer you will hear is...

Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Mai!!

Why Chiang Mai? Is there nowhere else to visit in the north?

Traffic jams, difficulty booking accommodation, and large crowds. Can't we go somewhere else?

Let's explore some of the coolest destinations beyond Chiang Mai!

It's not that Chiang Mai isn't good, but there are other places to visit that are just as good!

Let's find out where they are.

1. Phu Chi Fa, Chiang Rai

A breathtaking location for witnessing the sea of mist and sunrise, a landmark of the northern region for countless years: Phu Chi Fa, Chiang Rai province.

The accommodation is comfortable, with plenty of transportation available to take you up the mountain. The crowds are not as dense as those at Inthanon, so you won't experience the same level of congestion.

The view from the top is equally breathtaking. The sharp cliff of Phu Chi Fa, which resembles a finger pointing to the sky, is the origin of its name.

Travel

- The distance from Chiang Rai province is approximately 108 kilometers, using the Chiang Rai - Thoeng route, which is 64 kilometers long, and from Thoeng - Pang Khon, which is 24 kilometers long. Phu Chi Fa is 19 kilometers away, similar to the route from Thoeng district. The asphalt road is now convenient.

  • From Phayao, take Highway 1021 Thaeng - Chiang Kham for 27 kilometers. Before reaching Chiang Kham 6 kilometers, there is a fork to Wan Uthayan Namtok Phu Sang (1093) Ban Huak, another 19 kilometers. Then travel to Phu Chi Fa for another 30 kilometers. 2. Phu Chi Dao, Chiang Rai

A newly opened heavenly paradise, Phu Chi Dao, boasts breathtaking 360-degree views that leave one speechless.

No less beautiful than Phu Chi Fa, this place offers a magnificent sea of mist, a sea of stars, and a sunrise. In other words, you can experience all kinds of beauty in just one morning.

I feel like jumping into your arms right now.
