Phu Thap Boek: Heaven on Earth
The journey from Phitsanulok to Phu Thap Boek is a short one, making it an easily accessible destination.
This trip was a short one from Phitsanulok to Phetchabun. We traveled with only two people because no one else was available to join us, as they were all busy with work (haha!). (Actually, we intentionally made ourselves available.) We traveled by private car, and all expenses were split in half. We went on this trip for pleasure, not to save money.
Let's get started. After reviving from the revelry, we woke up and prepared our equipment to conquer "Phu Thap Boek". We have gathered quite a lot of stuff. Oh, the car is ready, the stuff is ready, the people are ready! We will move everything from this house to Phu Thap Boek. Hahaha!
Not this one, haha. This is the one! Everything is ready, people are ready!
After packing the car, we wasted no time and headed to Phetchabun early in the morning. After driving for a while, we reached Khao Kho. Then, a human voice named "Kuep Yuthaphum" said, "Hey, Por, how about we stop for coffee?" If he hadn't said that, I would have driven straight to Thap Bia. So, we stopped at Story Cup coffee shop.
He walks without caring about anyone, probably craving coffee. 555
After finishing our cups of Americano, our eyes began to open (or perhaps it's more accurate to say we were wide awake). We continued our journey towards Thung Salaeng Luang National Park, chatting and teasing each other along the way. After a while, we reached the foot of the mountain and spotted a convenience store. We exchanged glances and slammed on the brakes, eager to buy some water. After all, staying hydrated is crucial, especially when facing the cold weather up ahead.
It's time to drive through the curves! After driving uphill for a while, I found a small coffee shop on the left, but I couldn't brake in time. Oops! I looked back and reversed. Let's have another cup of coffee each. Actually, I wanted to sit and enjoy the view for a while. The view is beautiful. This is the view from the coffee shop I mentioned. 555 I didn't take a picture of the shop, only the car. I'm crazy!
Of course, I can help you translate this sentence from Thai to English. Here is the translation:
If you drink a lot of water, you'll naturally need to pee. I asked the shop owner where the bathroom was, and they said it was downstairs. I thought it would be just a short walk down, but it was much further than I expected. It was a long way down for someone as short as me, and the climb back up was even harder.
I hope this translation is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
After the gun came up, we continued on our way to our destination. We drove up a few more curves... and we arrived at "Phu Thap Boek".
We set up our tent in the middle of the temperature measurement tent. As soon as we arrived, we aimed and set it up in the middle of the tent. In the evening, the staff will come and collect the tent fee.
We wasted no time and quickly pitched our tents. 555
We had a blast setting up our tents! 5555
After helping to set up the tent, we sat down to chat and drink some cold water. After a while, I went for a walk to take some pictures of the surroundings. In the distance, I could see the sea.
I called my friends, "Let's go take some photos over there!" They didn't hesitate and replied, "Let's go, let's go! We don't want to miss it!" They left their beers and drove off quickly. Haha! After driving for several minutes, we saw...
After posing as models for a while, the sky began to darken, so we drove back to the tent to prepare for a shower and then go out to eat. We ended up finding a barbecue restaurant with a phone number posted outside. We wrote down the number so we could call and order food to be delivered to the tent. We then returned to the tent to socialize.
The fog began to blanket the area, and the air gradually grew colder. It was time for us to order some hot pot to warm our bodies. I told my friend, "Let's order some hot pot." He hung up the phone, his expression changed, and he turned to me and said, "Small set for 500, large set for 600. Wow, their pork must be of very high quality." In the end, we ended up with two cups of instant noodles each. Hahahaha.
The night was starless due to the heavy fog, even the city lights of Phetchabun were invisible. I planned to take some pictures of the stars, but I couldn't wait any longer and went to bed. Suddenly, it started raining. I fell asleep, but I woke up with wet pants. In the morning, there was no fog as I had hoped, but it was worth it to experience the cool, cold air that is not available in Phitsanulok.
Waking up to a misty morning with only two bottles of beer left, I was too lazy to carry them back so I decided to open them and enjoy the view. The ice I bought in the afternoon didn't even melt by the next morning, it was amazing! 55

After soaking in the morning atmosphere until late morning, we packed up and headed down from Thap Baek. On the way back, we decided to descend via Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. We loaded up the car and drove down, arriving at Hin Pum Rock Field after a while. We had to park the car at the parking lot and walk for about 1.5 kilometers.
As it was a weekday, there were no cars parked anywhere. After parking the car, we went down to order rice and hot Ovaltine, one glass each, to boost our energy before conquering the Button Stone Field. Let's go! Ready or not, here we come!
After walking for a while, we started to sweat. Haha, it's quite a distance, but we're halfway there. Let's keep going! After walking for a long time, sweating profusely, and not having enough water to drink, we finally arrived at our destination: "The Button Rock Field".
After resting for a while, we walked back, passing by the flag-raising cliff. We took a few photos, just a few, and then my friend started to miss home. He walked straight ahead, ignoring me. It was time to go back. We headed back without paying attention to anything. Haha. We arrived in Phitsanulok safely and went home to sleep soundly.
The time has come to wake up and continue the party at "Baan Keeb Yuthabhum". This trip is now over.
This is my first post, a collection of photos from places I've visited. Link to the post
