This is our first time visiting this lake, known as Cheow Lan. We must admit that "Ratchaprapha Dam" is another place that confirms that Thailand is incredibly beautiful. It's been an unforgettable experience since the moment we arrived.

Today, we will take you to a 500-acre floating market, where you can find peace and tranquility. The only sound you will hear is the singing of wild animals. It's a great place to come and be healed by nature.

Even phone signals are non-existent, like traveling back in time to a period without them, to prove that we can survive without them (for a short while, haha).

However, from another perspective, it is a good thing that we do not experience it very often. It turns out that not playing with our phones allows us to fully engage in conversations and fun activities with our loved ones.

I'm not good at refusing people, so I went ^^ I thought it wouldn't be far, but then I heard that we were going to the Cheow Lan Dam. Wow, you're inviting me tomorrow? Will I have time to prepare?

A voice suddenly replied, "Are you going? What's left? Let's go!"

Our group of eight embarked on a spontaneous adventure, opting for an evening flight to Surat Thani instead of the usual morning departure. Upon arrival, a car from the 500 Rai resort awaited us. Had we arrived earlier, we could have crossed the ferry to the resort directly. However, due to our late arrival, we spent the night at a new 500 Rai property called 500 Rai Valle. As we haven't captured any photos yet, stay tuned for future updates.

Upon arriving at our accommodation in Khao Sok, our stomachs began to rumble as dinner had yet to reach our bellies. We set out to find something to eat and stumbled upon a charming, pedestrian-style street lined with laid-back restaurants. The atmosphere was truly relaxing, as the number of tourists was still low and the crowd consisted mainly of foreigners.

This place is incredibly peaceful, perfect for those who enjoy a slower pace of life. After a satisfying meal, we walked back to our accommodation, conveniently located right next to the restaurant. What a great start! For our first night, we said goodnight from Khao Sok. Day 1: Our first morning in Surat Thani began in Khao Sok, where we woke up feeling refreshed.

Nestled amidst the mountains, this place is often shrouded in mist, especially in the mornings. It seems everyone who visits encounters the fog, hence the saying "If you go there, expect fog."

The most remarkable feature of this location is undoubtedly the incredibly long swimming pool situated amidst the valley.

The accommodation comprises six spacious rooms, comfortably accommodating up to 20 guests.

After taking photos around the area, we prepared to bathe and travel to the 500-rai floating market. We then had breakfast at the market, which consisted of rice porridge and American breakfast. We do not have any pictures of the breakfast, but we believe everyone can imagine it. 555

After lunch, a resort shuttle will pick you up and take you to the pier for your boat trip. Before heading to the pier, you will have the opportunity to enjoy scenic views.

The scenic viewpoint is not far away, just a short drive. It offers stunning views, especially during sunrise when the sea of mist appears. We missed the opportunity to witness the breathtaking scenery, but we'll definitely return to capture the mesmerizing mist and take some amazing photos. As the sun grew hotter, we continued our journey.

On the way to the pier, we will pass the 500 Rai office. The car will stop for us to use the restroom, and we will receive 500 Rai t-shirts to wear for a cool themed photo shoot. If you go, buy one and take some beautiful photos!

Upon arrival at the dam, before the car takes us to board the boat, we will take some cool photos at the dam crest sign first. Feel free to pose as you like. We will then board the boat.

Equipped, we boarded the boat, ready to sail full speed ahead to escape the hustle and bustle and live in a place without a phone signal, out of touch for a day.

It took us about an hour to reach the raft, but it was an hour that we felt very good. Everyone was excited about the view along the way.

I am one of those people who have fallen in love with this place. Even before I reach my accommodation, it is already so beautiful. I can't wait to see what it's like when I get there.

As we enjoyed the scenic view, we arrived at our destination in no time. The first thing that caught our attention, even more than the natural beauty, was the welcoming smiles of the staff who greeted us upon arrival.

Cold water is available to welcome you. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Upon arrival, we couldn't resist taking a記念撮影 with the raft owner as a souvenir of our visit.

The most striking feature is the large floating pool, which is very inviting.

The journey continued for another hour, and our stomachs began to rumble once again. As self-proclaimed foodies, we couldn't resist the delicious aromas wafting from the restaurant. The all-inclusive package included a buffet-style meal, allowing us to indulge in our culinary desires. The food was truly exceptional, and we couldn't help but wonder if our hunger was heightened by the exertion of the journey or the sheer美味 of the dishes. For our accommodation, we were assigned the Honeymoon Suite, a secluded haven nestled away from the other rooms. The trek to our suite involved a short but invigorating walk across a suspension bridge, adding a touch of adventure to our arrival. The suite itself boasted three comfortable beds, two bathrooms, and air conditioning. While a refrigerator was absent, the essential amenities were readily available. The highlight of the suite was the rooftop deck, accessible via a staircase, offering a breathtaking view of the starry night sky.

After packing our belongings and taking a short break, we took a boat to see the fish rafts.
This is a fish raft with birds. I don't remember what kind of birds they were, but they were birds that were raised until they were familiar with people and were not afraid of them. After we visited the fish rafts, it was time to return to the raft. And it was time to jump into the water.

Many people are concerned about cleanliness. I can assure you that this place is definitely clean. The water is as clear as a swimming pool, and there is a wastewater treatment plant to collect and treat used water. So, we can be sure that there is no poop! 555

After playing in the water for a while, the rain started to fall heavily. However, we continued to have fun, as rain is a common occurrence here. Moreover, it was a beautiful and enjoyable experience.

After an exhausting day of playing in the water, we took a break to relax and chat about various topics. It was a rare opportunity to have a conversation like this without our phones in our hands. It was a pleasant feeling that we don't often experience. For dinner, we decided to stay at the floating raft. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing evening meal. After filling our bellies with delicious food, we each enjoyed a cocktail to ensure a good night's sleep. 555, right? For tonight, we bid you goodnight from the 500 Rai raft. Day 2: We started our day at 3:00 AM. Yes, you read that right, 3:00 AM! What were we up to so early? Let's find out!

We went elephant watching because we are a group of travel photographers. When the elephants appeared, we eagerly got up to take pictures. We have to admit that the stars here are very beautiful. This is another place that is perfect for stargazing.

Despite the late hour, we continued shooting on the shaky raft until we captured the perfect shot.

After another nap, we woke up to watch the sunrise right in front of our raft, practically from our beds.

The sunrise was breathtaking, with warm orange light filtering through the mist over the intricate mountain range. Words cannot do justice to the beauty of this sight; it is something that must be experienced firsthand.

After sunrise, around seven in the morning, we took a boat trip to observe wildlife. We then returned for breakfast.

Before we set off, there was already tea, coffee, and bread laid out early in the morning. If anyone was hungry, they could come and eat first. But we asked to go and see the animals first, and then we would come back and attack it all at once. 555

As we sailed to observe the wildlife, we were greeted by the smiles of tourists who were captivated by the atmosphere, which was truly delightful. The animals we encountered on this day were wild boars. While others had witnessed elephants, banteng, and a variety of birds, the heavy water release from the dam due to the southern floods limited our sightings. The abundance of water made it less likely for animals to venture out to feed. Upon returning from our wildlife observation, it was time for our culinary indulgence. We eagerly filled our plates, savoring the delicious food. Although we may have appeared to be eating a lot, the reality was that we consumed only a moderate amount, as evidenced by the small portions in the photograph. The rest of the feast shall remain a personal indulgence.

Next, we will prepare to climb the mountain. The mountain is not far from our raft, only a few minutes away. This mountain is called Tarzan Viewpoint. It takes about 3 hours to hike up and down the mountain, covering a distance of 3 kilometers. If you are fit, you may only need 2 hours.

And this is why it's called Tarzan Viewpoint. Tarzan Viewpoint, also known as Kraisorn Viewpoint, offers a breathtaking panoramic view from above. Standing at the summit, visitors are treated to a magnificent vista of the sprawling lake and the intricate tapestry of surrounding mountains.

The trail we walked on alternated between flat and steep sections, requiring caution due to occasional sharp rocks. Our guides from the camp provided valuable advice and information about the local flora and history, although my limited memory struggles to recall specifics.

It took us about an hour and a half to reach our destination, walking along path 2.

The view from above is breathtaking, especially during the morning mist. We took some photos and rested before heading down, as the space above is limited and there are many tourists. If you plan to visit, be aware of the stunning scenery and exercise caution.

Our time on the mountain seemed to have come to an end as we descended. It was time to return for lunch and prepare for our departure.

Before departing from the floating house, I had some time to spare, so I asked permission to take some stylish photos in each room.

Besides the Honeymoon suite where we stayed, the resort offers three other room types: Deluxe room, Villa room, and Family room.
Our time at the resort has come to an end. Although we are reluctant to leave, we must depart. We will definitely return in the future.
Before leaving the floating resort, we took a group photo with the owner as a souvenir. They were very friendly and accommodating, even under the hot sun. They were always smiling and cheerful. ^^

And so, we had to say goodbye to the 500-acre raft. We'll definitely be back! On our way back, we couldn't resist stopping by the Three Musketeers monument to take some pictures and make our friends jealous. ^^
