Let's start the year with another review.

Who says winter is not cold? Raise your hand!
Who says that at the end of the year, your salary is almost gone? Raise your hand!
Who says that there are not many places to go on holidays, or that you can't find a place to go? Raise your hand!

Many problems for single people, working people, people who want to relax, or even people who have buddies who like to travel. But, but, but, wait, but... the buddy likes to say, "I want to travel but I don't know where to go?" This time... the sea is the goal with a time of 3 days and 2 nights.

Let's go float in the sea together... Speaking of the sea, many people probably look to the southern sea... the Andaman Sea, which is said to be breathtakingly beautiful. But this time, I'm here to tell you that the Gulf of Thailand is just as good as any other sea in the world.

Note: Perhaps because I have never been to the beach abroad, I... am a little too excited, haha! But it's really beautiful, perfect for a couple like us ^^

** *Our itinerary includes one night on Koh Wai, one night on Koh Mak, and a one-day trip to Koh Kham in Trat Province. Based on our research, we need to take a boat from Laem Ngop Pier in Trat Province to reach Koh Wai and Koh Mak. **

DAY 1

- Our journey began in Bangkok at the Victory Monument, a central hub for numerous van companies.
We opted for the van terminal beneath the BTS station on the Century side, embracing the typical Thai approach to punctuality. Despite a scheduled 7 AM departure, we finally boarded the van around 8:30 AM.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

The van will take approximately 4-5 hours to travel, depending on traffic.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., we arrived at the shared taxi stand where the van driver told us to transfer.
The fare for the shared taxi should be inquired about carefully. We had read in a forum that the fare was 70 baht.
Me: How much is it?
Taxi queue: 100 baht, little sister.
Me: Huh!! How much?
He then changed his mind and said, "I'll give you a discount of 80 baht because there are people in the car already" (there were about 10 people there).

#HandsomeGuava, spread the word!

Our fellow travelers, a Western father and son, are also headed to our destination, Whai Island.

As our boat is scheduled for approximately 2:30 PM with Sea Tell Company, we need to inform the songthaew driver that we are going to Koh Wai so that they can drop us off at the correct pier. It is recommended to book the boat in advance, approximately 3 days before your trip, by calling 081-910-2723 for the Sea Tell boat at 2:30 PM. There are approximately 2-3 boat companies with different departure times. If you are interested in visiting a specific island, be sure to inform the driver to avoid any unnecessary delays.

On the return trip, we already knew the date of our departure, so we booked the return trip as well. We chose a time slot that we thought was suitable and a pier that was convenient. This is because on the return trip, on the second night, we stayed at Koh Mak at Makathanee Resort. The boat that docks at the pier in front of the resort is the Lilawadi boat company. The boat fare is the same for everyone, 450 baht per person per leg.

The ferry to Koh Wai takes approximately 45 minutes. Our accommodation will be at Koh Wai Paradise.
It is important to note that Koh Wai Paradise has electricity only from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
There are no fans, air conditioning, or private bathrooms. If these amenities are important to you, you may want to reconsider your plans.

However, the author is not concerned about sleeping and enjoys visiting obscure and unpopular locations. They desire to expose themselves to new experiences, but they are unsure if their buddy will be able to handle it.

Upon arrival at Koh Wai, this is the bridge in front of Koh Wai Paradise and Good Living View, which share the same wooden bridge. For those staying elsewhere, please inform the boat driver so that they can stop at the correct pier to avoid a long walk.

We arrived at the destination around 3:30 PM, checked in, and rested. It was time to exercise.

However, the question remains: how will we inflate the inflatable ring we rented from Bangkok?

The sun sets at 5:30 PM. Take a walk and take some photos before it gets dark.

Behind the scenes of dragging the unicorn... hee hee hee

The sun began to set on the horizon, and the diving trip we had planned slipped our minds. We were determined to make the most of this trip.

The water here is so clear that you don't need to dive or swim to see the fish. You can simply look down and see them clearly.

From the image, the area with a roof serves as a lobby for check-in, a place to relax, charge batteries, and eat.

The kitchen here operates on a two-shift system with a break in between. However, there is no need to worry about going hungry, as the food prices are not excessively high.

After playing in the water, take a shower. The rest is to have dinner here. The taste is moderate, so foreigners can eat it comfortably.

The price includes drinks, which is around 300 baht. It's quite affordable.

After finishing our meal, we relaxed in our own ways. Those who still had energy could recharge their batteries, while others could update their social media. We then drifted off to sleep, listening to the sound of the waves. When we woke up, it was early morning.

It's time to say goodbye to Koh Wai, a small island that I first heard about from the "Backpackers" group on Facebook. I have no regrets about following the group's recommendation. The only thing I regret is not being able to go diving, as it takes quite a while to get here. Ideally, you should stay for 3 days and 2 nights. However, it's okay. Let's move on to Koh Mak. As for the fish, just looking at them from the bridge is enough.

DAY 2

The journey from Koh Wai to Koh Mak by wooden boat costs 200 baht and takes approximately 45 minutes.
Our wooden boat is red and departs only once a day at 10:00 AM. Be sure to arrive on time!

Alternatively, you can take the ferry for 450 baht. The ferry departs from the mainland and will stop at Koh Wai to pick you up. However, you must make a reservation in advance to avoid missing the ferry.

Before boarding the boat, we need to confirm with our accommodation, Makathanee Resort, whether we will be traveling by boat. The boat will dock at the Koh Mak Resort pier.

The resort will provide a taxi service to pick you up at the pier.

As we sailed on the boat, we felt like foreign tourists, while the foreign tourists felt like they were in their home country. On the boat, besides the captain and the crew, only the two of us were Thai.

The wooden boat will take us to the pier right here!!

Koh Mak is another island that is worth visiting. In addition to its beautiful scenery, it also retains a high degree of naturalness. Importantly, on Koh Mak, you can walk into and visit any resort without having to pay any fees.

On the second day of Koh Mak, our buddy wanted to stay at Coco Cape Resort, but we were unable to make a reservation. So we stayed at Makathanee Resort by booking through the resort at 085-095-1700.

This beachfront accommodation offers sea view, pool view, and Conner city rooms at varying prices. Please visit the website for pricing information.
http://www.makathaneeresort.com

Overall, we found Makathanee Resort to be a satisfactory choice. The price for accommodation and breakfast was reasonable, the views were beautiful, and the rooms were clean. The beachfront location offered stunning sunset views.

If you are staying on Koh Mak and haven't chosen a resort yet, consider staying at Kadthani Resort.

Beachfront spa ...

After checking in to our accommodation and freshening up, we rented motorbikes for 200 baht each, but had to fill the fuel ourselves. We filled up with 30 baht of fuel, which was enough. We then purchased a one-day trip to Koh Kham at the front desk of Koh Mak Resort. The trip departed at 3:00 PM and the last return boat was at 4:30 PM. The cost was 200 baht per person.

While waiting for the boat, we took some playful photos. It was a nice atmosphere, looking at the sea, watching children playing in the water, and seeing foreigners in bikinis. #That's what makes it great, haha!

Koh Kham: A Paradise Found

Koh Kham, a breathtaking island, has finally been reached. The crystal-clear waters are not only spectacularly transparent, but also breathtakingly beautiful. The pristine white sand is incredibly soft, and the island's beauty is undeniably genuine.

Many people may wonder if it is possible to stay on this beautiful island. Before our visit, we tried to find information and saw with our own eyes that the accommodation buildings are under renovation, as others have mentioned. We saw some construction workers, but if this place is open, there will probably be many tourists because the island is truly beautiful. The 200 baht boat fee we paid is said to be for the maintenance of the place and can be exchanged for one welcome drink.

Applaud our buddy's efforts! We want to capture stunning images. Thai women are just as beautiful as anyone else in the world. Keep clicking, clicking, clicking!

The white sand beach is irresistible, but I miss my unicorn, Uni, who is napping in the room. It would be amazing to have her as a prop for photos, but where would people sit if I brought a horse? The boat is already full. Maybe I should just try it. (Just kidding!)

After we finished playing in the water, the last boat was about to return to Koh Mak.
We exchanged some soft drinks before saying goodbye to Koh Kham.
We will come back again, you are so beautiful, Koh Kham.

After returning from Koh Kham, it's time to take a shower and watch the sunset.

The charm of Koh Mak is likely due to its beautiful scenery and lack of crowds. This creates a sense of true relaxation and allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in their vacation.

Late-night work! We drove according to the map, as many Pantip users reviewed that if you come to Koh Mak, you must eat at Koh Mak Seafood.

Following their lead, we ordered a must-try dish: a 1-kilogram steamed blue crab.

Another signature dish here is the "Koh Mak Hot Pot," but the dish that truly impressed us and deserves a perfect score of 10 is the "Seafood Platter."

The crabs here are fresh. As soon as we order, they catch them from the cages they have set in the sea. They are still alive and kicking! It might be a bit cruel, but they were delicious!

DAY 3

On the last day of our trip, we visited various places on Koh Mak, as recommended by the locals.

Coco Crepe Resort was our first choice, but unfortunately, Buddy couldn't secure a reservation. The resort boasts a long wooden bridge, and we heard that at night, a small cafe opens on the bridge, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of Koh Mak.

A 500-meter-long wooden bridge offers stunning morning views.

Our final stop was at Thai Daho Vista, where we enjoyed a delicious cup of green tea. Unfortunately, we couldn't take our drinks to go, so we had to sit and enjoy the view. From our vantage point, we could see the white sandy beach of Koh Kham in the distance.

Pack your belongings! Board the ship! Return home!

Goodbye, Koh Mak.

Note 1. For friends who do not have a van back to Bangkok, it is recommended not to buy through the hotel.

Due to three van changes, the journey to Bangkok will be extended. It is recommended to take a songthaew to the city center upon arrival at the pier.

To save time, take the Trat-Victory Monument van again, just like on the way here.

Every journey incurs expenses, but if we don't give ourselves a chance,

As time goes by, we encounter new things. With a lot of money, we will not have a strong body to come out and rest, to come out and travel.

It's time to start giving yourself a chance.

Estimated cost 4,000 baht / person

The van fare is 320 baht one way.

The cost of the van is 350 baht for the return trip.

The fare for the songthaew is 80 baht.

The cost of accommodation is 300+1500 / 2, which equals 900 baht.

Motorcycle rental fee 200+30 baht

Boat fare from the shore to Koh Wai is 450 baht.

Boat fare from Koh Wai to Koh Mak is 200 baht.

Boat fare from Koh Mak to Koh Kham is 200 baht.

Ferry from Koh Mak to the mainland costs 450 baht.

The cost of food is approximately 1,000 baht per person. Upon seeing Koh Kham, the original poster felt like they could just collapse there.
