This is my second attempt at writing, but this trip is the first time in my life that I will conquer "Doi Luang Chiang Dao". Because I have never hiked or lived this way before, I started by booking a tour, booking a plane ticket, and planning my trip. There may be some changes in the time and place. This trip has a total of 4 people, but in reality, only 2 people are going because my friend has an urgent commitment.
Day 1
Embark on a journey to Chiang Mai, where you can find affordable accommodations and delicious cuisine. Upon arrival, check into your lodging and unwind.
Day 2
Waking up early, I rented a motorbike and set off to explore. I visited a temple to pray for good luck on my journey and then headed to the market for some delicious local food. I found a stall selling Khao Soi and couldn't resist ordering a bowl. A customer even commented on how much they loved the Khao Soi, wondering what secret ingredient the vendor used. After satisfying my hunger, I met up with a friend and we decided to grab some bubble tea. We then discussed our plans for the day, considering both Mae Kampong village and Doi Suthep mountain. Since it was my friend's first time in Chiang Mai, we opted for Doi Suthep. The one-hour motorbike ride up the mountain was quite an experience, especially since it was my first time riding a motorbike uphill.
They then encountered a dog, whose eyebrows particularly impressed my friend.
We then continued to the Manda Waterfall, but the water was a bit low. We had already come this far, so we had to see it through.
After returning the car, we packed our belongings and took a bus from Chang Phuak Bus Terminal to Chiang Dao. Upon arrival, we called our host to pick us up. The accommodation was incredibly peaceful, but the owner also ran a beer bar, which was amazing. After settling in, we ordered some beers. The owner was very friendly and approachable, and his partner was a foreigner. We chatted for a while while enjoying our beers. Feeling hungry, we ordered two plates of fried rice with eggs. After dinner, we went to bed to prepare for an early wake-up call to meet up with the group as planned.
Day 3
Gather your belongings and wait for the car to pick you up at the assembly point. The car arrived and it was extremely cold on the way. The weather was very cool. Upon arrival at the assembly point, check your name and get on the car. They took us to the starting point at Den Ya Khad. After breakfast, we set off for Doi Luang Chiang Dao.
The friend we tricked into joining us, hehe.

You tricked me. He must be thinking that in his heart.
The distance was manageable, but the steepness was brutal, leaving my legs aching. After a while, we saw a sign indicating our tour's campsite, and we were overjoyed. After dropping our bags, we ate lunch. After resting for a while, our group started walking again, following our guide. He suddenly shouted, "Hey! That's not where we're staying!" We had to walk a bit further. What else could we do but walk? After a while, we reached the campsite and set up our tents. With nothing else to do, we lay down in the sun because our tent was in the sun. The shaded spots were all taken. But then, something amazing happened. At night, the Milky Way was clearly visible. In the late afternoon, we set off to Doi Luang to watch the sunset. Let me tell you, the climb was incredibly steep. But the descent... well, I don't even want to think about it.
It's me, Aoy. Let's get to know each other here.
The sun has set, and it's time to descend. This time, I have to hold onto the rocks, or I'll definitely fall. We arrived at the accommodation and had dinner. We met another group of two people, and we hit it off. They had brought energy drinks with them, which was a lifesaver since we forgot to buy any. We sat down and drank them straight, enjoying the cool breeze and the starry sky. It was absolutely amazing. After the drinks were finished, we went to bed so that we could wake up early in the morning to see the Milky Way and the sunrise. To be honest, as it got later, the air became very cold. The wind kept blowing, but that's exactly what I was looking for: peace and nature. I have no regrets about coming here.
Day 4
It's time for me to shout, Giw Lom! Startled, I set off to watch the sunrise as quickly as possible. I walked in the dark and wondered if the guide would take us to Khao Luang. But there was a path ahead, so I just followed it. It was dark and my vision was blurry. My life was so exciting! When I reached the top of Giw Lom, I couldn't believe I had made it. I sat down to wait for the sunrise. Luckily, I had a phone signal, so I checked the football scores. Oh no, I shouldn't have checked! 3-1, Naldo lost. I closed the app and waited to take photos.

There is a little bit of a line.
After checking into our accommodation and having breakfast, it was time to head back. Thank you for this trip that we decided to take. We were able to see the beauty of nature, but if we want to see it at its best, we should come at the end of November. They say it's at its most beautiful then. We'll definitely have to come back again.
See you again on the next trip ^-^
