Today, we will take you to enjoy an unlimited seafood & salmon sashimi buffet at the Gondola Restaurant, A-One Hotel, Bangkok.
For this meal, we opted for the dinner buffet, priced at 389 net (the hotel informed us that this price is valid until April 30, 2017). If you book through the hotel's Facebook page in advance, you will also receive free refillable herbal water. It is recommended to make a reservation with the hotel in advance.
The hotel's dinner buffet is open from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It features a wide variety of international cuisine, including Thai dishes, salads, and pasta. However, the highlight is the seafood and salmon sashimi station.
Arriving at the hotel a little after 6 pm, the food line was fully stocked and ready for our attack. Before we dug in, we took some pictures of the food line to share with you. We'll focus on the seafood and salmon, of course.
The Japanese food zone in front of the restaurant features a variety of dishes, including salmon sashimi, giant squid, shrimp, Japanese seaweed salad, sweet eggs, and salmon salad.
The inner seafood zone features chilled seafood, including shrimp and mussels.
The fresh ingredients section includes fish maw, shrimp, sweet clams, dory fish, and barbecue chicken. These fresh ingredients will be grilled by the staff in the grilling zone and served ready to eat.
At the barbecue zone, you can pick up the food that the staff has prepared.
This section features a variety of Thai dishes, with approximately 3-4 options available. During our visit, the menu included stir-fried fish with sweet and sour sauce, black pepper chicken, mixed vegetable stir-fry, rice with Chinese sausage, and chicken soup. Other options included teriyaki chicken, fish with mustard sauce, and carrot soup (as far as I can recall).
Outside, there will be a stall selling tom yum soup and sago dumplings with pork filling.
Line salad bar and bread
The fruit and sweet dessert line will have both cakes and Thai desserts.
The food line presented is as follows. It's time to eat. As mentioned earlier, we will focus more on salmon and seafood. I ate a lot of salmon and walked around several times. It seems that I walked the most.
For those who want to try this, here are some recommendations:
- It is recommended to make a reservation for this promotion (price valid until April 30, 2017). If you make a reservation through the hotel's Facebook page, you will receive free refillable herbal water. https://www.facebook.com/aonebangkok/
- Monday to Friday: Lunch 369 baht, Dinner 389 baht. Saturday and Sunday: Lunch and Dinner 389 baht.
- Lunch 11:00-14:00, Dinner 17:00-22:00
- The restaurant has tour groups coming down regularly in the evening, but they will be scattered to the upstairs dining room. However, if there are a lot of tours, some groups will come to eat at the restaurant on the 1st floor. It is recommended that if you go on a day when there are a lot of tour groups, you choose to sit in the outdoor area so that you don't feel crowded.
- There will be a lot of customers from around 5 pm to 7 pm. After that, the inside area will start to empty out.
- Food is always refilled.
- If you like salmon sashimi and seafood, we think it's worth it to sit and eat until the restaurant closes.
The hotel is located on the same soi as the Bangkok Hospital. You can see the map below.
