In an era where everyone is crazy about "Korea"

Crazy about: Korea

Crazy about: Korean food

Crazy about: Korean products

Or crazy about: Korean men 55555555555

But today we have a show to present, it's called Cooking Nanta. What is it?? And why do we have to go see it??

It's "Nanta Show", a stage play from Korea.

It has won international awards and has been performed in over 53 countries worldwide.

I repeat, "worldwide". That alone should make you spend money and grab front row seats.

No need to worry about food, there are plenty of restaurants around.

For example, Starbucks, a well-known coffee shop.

Kuroda Japanese Restaurant, a trendy Japanese restaurant that you must try.

Or Tempo, a chic cafe that you'll want to run into just by looking at the storefront.

Or if you want something heavier, try Bedrock Butchery & Grill, a very stylish steakhouse.

But if you want to go all out, after watching the play, you can queue up at Routh66 or ONXY. I guarantee you'll have a headache. 55555

But if you don't have much time, try choosing a simple restaurant in Tops. It's delicious and affordable.

"Nanta Show" is located at RCA Plaza. If you're not familiar with RCA Plaza, think of Route 66.

It's around that area.

Alternatively, you can take the MRT to Petchaburi Station and take a motorbike taxi for only 30 baht.

The front of the Nanta Theater is decorated in yellow tones, which is eye-catching (I understand that Nanta's colors are probably red and yellow).

Inside, you'll find a ticket counter and friendly staff to help you choose your seats.

Ticket prices are 1,300 baht and 1,000 baht, but they often have promotions. Sometimes they're as low as 200 baht.

The beautiful staff member told me that they recently had a promotion at the Thai Travel Fair and sold a lot of tickets.

In another corner, there's a souvenir, food, and beverage zone.

Most of the customers here come in families, with children and even grandparents.

The Nanta Show: A Culinary Performance

The Nanta Show is a non-verbal performance that combines traditional Korean drumming with acrobatics, cooking, and comedy. The show is performed daily, with two shows on Saturdays. Showtimes are 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM, except for the first Monday of each month when the show is closed. It is recommended to call ahead for reservations at 02-6414407-09.

The show begins at 5:00 PM with the opening of the doors. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats. Ushers, reminiscent of old-fashioned movie theater attendants, guide patrons with flashlights.

The stage design evokes a traditional Korean kitchen, with a color palette of red, orange, and blue creating a sense of age and grandeur.

The play opens with a drumbeat, giving the feeling of watching a Chinese martial arts film.

The actors are dressed in black robes (I don't know the name, haha).

The four actors use different instruments and produce different sounds.

It's a very exciting opening show.

........................................................................................................

The plot of the story seems to revolve around cooking in a kitchen, with a total of five characters.

The first three characters appear to be the main chefs.

The fourth character is likely a connection of the restaurant owner or manager (pure speculation).

During the performance, the actors do not speak, but instead use gestures, body language, and vocal intonations.

We are left to imagine what they are communicating and what stage of the story they are portraying.

........................................................................................................

Throughout the performance, the actors use the props they are holding to create rhythmic sounds by tapping them together. This is a signature element of the Nanta Show.

Every object the actors touch seems to have a rhythm, making the performance increasingly mesmerizing.

The vegetable chopping show is truly impressive, even professional chefs would be envious.

The vegetables are chopped so finely, they practically disintegrate.

It's almost as if they don't even need to be chewed!

A beautiful staff member revealed that the performers train for about a year

to achieve this level of skill.

........................................................................................................

A variety of stunts are performed, including fire juggling, balancing acts, and acrobatics.

While not as difficult as some gymnastic feats, these performances are nonetheless impressive.

The performers sing and dance non-stop, leaving no doubt that their year of training has been rigorous.

........................................................................................................

The performers were highly engaging and interacted with the audience in a fun and playful way, even without speaking a single word.

The laughter of both children and adults filled the room, accompanied by the rhythmic stomping of the performers' feet and exciting sound effects.

It was a truly joyful and entertaining show.

The alternating colors create a sense of excitement and suspense.

The sound of the drums, combined with the sound of the actors' running feet, is thrilling and intense.

This must be the final scene of the show.

The actors are introduced and the audience is thanked.

These 60-70 minutes have been truly amazing (I thought to myself).

After the show, there was a booth for taking pictures with the actors.

I had the chance to take a picture with them first, and I was secretly excited.

Even though they weren't celebrities, I don't know why I was so excited. 555555

But I could feel that each actor was drenched in sweat.

They were breathing heavily. This is the source of the fun, the effort that they practiced to show us.

This is the reason I said at the beginning, why you have to come see this.

Many people might say that they don't know them, they've never heard of them.

But believe me, if you come here just once,

You will fall in love with this place, just like I fell in love with her the first time we met.
