Hello.
Here, Penang (pronounced like a local)
This trip unexpectedly brought me to Penang. I was looking for new places to explore, different from my previous visit to Penang ( https://th.readme.me/p/3804).
Recalling a friend's recommendation for an adventurous location in Penang, I remembered their enthralling experience with ESCAPE, a unique destination they had visited with their university students. Intrigued by the prospect of such an unexpected adventure in Penang, I decided to embark on my own exploration of ESCAPE.
This place offers a variety of activities suitable for both children and adults at an affordable price.
Some people may have played something similar to this before. There are many places in Thailand that offer similar experiences. However, you may want to try it in Penang to see if there are any differences.
** ESCAPE is located in Teluk Bahang, approximately 1 hour from Georgetown. **
Open 10:00 - 18:00 *Closed on Mondays*
For more details, please visit the website: http://www.escape.my/
Let's start with booking tickets online. While you can walk in and purchase tickets at the entrance, it will be more expensive (83 RM).
We are two friends traveling together. We chose the Family & Friends category.
We offer a one-day option that runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, as well as two-day and three-day options for those who wish to camp overnight.
It is recommended to book more than 7 days in advance (60+ RM) as booking within 7 days will result in a higher price (70+ RM). Young children and senior citizens enter for free.
The ticket is only valid for the booked date. It is recommended to create an e-wallet. If you do not do it online, you will have to do it when you check in.
This is used to rent lockers (10 RM) and buy food… 20 RM is not enough, and if it is not enough, you can top up at the top-up machine.
Please enter your information and select a payment method. Once the payment process is complete, please wait for an email.
A 5-digit passcode will be provided (the same code for the entire team) for accessing the locker rental and food and water purchase services.
It's time to go! We chose to take the bus. The **free** buses that go to ESCAPE are routes 101 and 102.
We stayed at Love Lane and waited for the 101 bus across the street from 7-Eleven.
Pay 4 RM for the bus and keep the ticket. You can get a refund at the entrance of ESCAPE.
After a scenic one-hour drive, we finally arrived.
Inform them that we have already made an online reservation. Enter the access code at the entrance and walk in confidently.
Play anything except for children's games. Haha! Oh! Don't forget to ask for the bus fare back.
Dress comfortably in clothes that allow for easy movement. Wear sneakers. If you have long hair, please tie it up.
Upon arrival, please store your belongings in a locker. Select "Buy Locker" (10 RM) and choose an available locker. Enter the code to open the locker. To retrieve your belongings, select "Open Locker" and enter the code.
Monkey Business is a three-story obstacle course with two lines per floor. It features a variety of zip lines and pathways to test your balance and agility.
**Gecko Tower** Climbing wall with timekeeping. Climb to the top and press the stop button to record your time.
Aerobot has high and low levels of yoga flying skills. We can use it for this task. Haha.
**Atan's Leap** Bungee jumping from heights of 12 and 20 meters. It was scary at first, but once I jumped, I had to go back and do it again. It was so much fun!
Jungle Swinger A fun rope swing that's not too scary.
**Tubby Racer** requires participants to drag the inflatable ring up and then slide down. It is recommended to hold on to each other while sliding down, as the inflatable ring may spin if ridden solo.
Flying Lemur Zipline offers two tracks at the starting point. You can zip through multiple stations and return to the starting point.
You see that tall structure over there? That's one of the stations. Once you reach that point, there's no turning back. You have to walk on a net to the highest point of the structure. It's incredibly high, and then you zipline down. Wow, it's amazing! The view is incredible, the breeze is cool, and you can see the entire landscape.
Action camera users, remember to bring a chest or head mount. Selfie sticks are not allowed on the zipline, and we forgot ours, so we missed out on capturing the moment.
Surroundings
We didn't eat much because we were too tired and sweaty. We just drank two bottles of water.
We did not play all the games. Some were repeated, depending on our preferences.
Remember to refund the money in your e-wallet before leaving.
The exit has a souvenir shop.
Wait for the same bus at the original stop. The return trip is not free.
The journey to and from Penang offers glimpses of the sea and beaches, which may seem ordinary, but they present a unique perspective of Penang that we rarely encounter.
Hoping to return to the beach here someday.
Thank you for following.
