' The Beginning '
Greetings to all travel enthusiasts! This post will take you to a southern sea of mist, without having to travel far to the north. The southern sea of mist is just as beautiful as other seas of mist in Thailand. "Khao Khai Nui Sea of Mist" and take a boat ride through "Phang Nga Bay", which is known as the wonder of the sea. Both mountains and sea, complete the trip in one day!
This trip was a trip to take my parents on a trip. But because they don't have much free time, they have to work for their children. So I can only travel for one day. Like going in the morning - returning in the evening But I'm glad I got to travel with my parents. '
### This is my second post. I posted the first post in 2015 (a bit long ago). Hehe, I disappeared for a long time because I was pumping money to travel. After pumping money for a long time, I can travel more often. So I intend to do more reviews for everyone to see.
Let's go on a trip!
Our first destination is Khai Nui Mountain, where you can admire the sea of mist. To get there, tourists can contact the Tung Maphrao Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO), as Khai Nui Mountain is only 4 kilometers away from the SAO office. The road is a 3-kilometer gravel road, and a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required to drive up the mountain, as the last two sections before reaching the top are very steep. However, these sections are only short. You can contact Mr. Cho at the Tung Maphrao SAO (phone number: 084 309 9222) to arrange for a transfer to a four-wheel drive vehicle at the SAO office before driving up to the mountaintop. The cost for a round-trip ride is 600 baht per vehicle, which can accommodate up to 6 people. If there are more than 6 people, the price is 800 baht. If there are fewer than 6 people, the cost is 140-160 baht per person. Alternatively, you can drive up yourself if you have a suitable vehicle and are comfortable driving on steep, mountainous roads.
* Please note that the prices may change. It is recommended to contact the number provided before your trip to confirm the latest rates.
I had to wake up very early today to catch the bus to Khai Nui Mountain at the Tung Maphrao Administrative Organization. The bus was scheduled to leave at 5:00 AM.
Upon arrival, we paid the transportation fee. There were three of us, my father, my mother, and myself, each paying 160 baht. If there are fewer people, you will have to share a ride with others. If there are more people, you can rent the entire vehicle for 600 baht. The total cost was 480 baht. We then took the car to Khao Khainui, along with other tourists.
The drive up Khai Nui Hill only took about 10 minutes, but the road was a bit steep. When we arrived, we were greeted by a large crowd of tourists.
Immerse yourself in the cool morning atmosphere, with the mist floating in front of you and the people around you.
It's a truly amazing time.
The sun slowly rises above the horizon. No matter how many pictures you see, it can't compare to experiencing it in person.
This mountain is the only one where you can experience the sunrise, sunset, sea of mist, Andaman Sea, and mountain range all in one place.
The campsite is available for tourists who come to see the mist at Khai Nui Mountain.
As the morning progressed, it was time to descend from Khai Nui Mountain and head to our next destination. Time truly flies.
After descending from Khai Nui Mountain, I felt a pang of hunger. Deciding to grab a bite in Phang Nga town, I found myself conveniently located on the way to Phang Nga Bay.
The atmosphere in the town was serene and unhurried, a stark contrast to the bustling city life. It was a captivating sight.
After a satisfying meal, head towards the pier for the Phang Nga Bay tour. Follow the GPS directions to Phang Nga Bay, and you will find the pier sign.
This pier is called Customs Pier. It is the most popular pier. I contacted the boat driver and agreed on the price. The price for a whole boat is 1500 baht, which can accommodate about 8-10 people, but no more than 10 people. If there are less than 10 people, you can still go, but the price will be the same. I went with my parents, only 3 people.
If you want to join with other people, you have to contact the boat driver. I'm not sure about this.
There is an additional program of kayaking for 250 baht per person, for a total of 2250 baht.
If you come with a large group, you can share the boat fare, which will be more cost-effective.
After a short boat ride, the boat driver pointed out the first viewpoint, Khao Ma Chu. This rocky mountain resembles a dog.
Viewpoint 2: Ancient Rock Paintings at Khao Khian
This viewpoint features a rock shelter formed by an indentation in the limestone cliff face. Ancient rock paintings are visible within the recess and along the surrounding cliff walls.
This is Koh Panyee, where you see many houses. The boat driver said he will stop by on the way back so we can buy souvenirs.
After a short boat ride, we reached the point where we would disembark and board kayaks to paddle through a cave and admire the surrounding scenery.
The parents appeared very excited.
How small can it get?
Crawling through the cave each time, I have to sleep like this.
Can anyone tell me what this picture is?
The kayaking program takes approximately 30-60 minutes. After that, we will return to the boat and continue to Khao Tapu.
Enjoying the scenic views along the way while taking a boat to Khao Tapu. The refreshing breeze and the stunning scenery brought a smile to my mother's face.
After a short boat ride, we arrived at Khao Tapu. The entrance fee to the park is 60 baht per person.
The tourist crowd is massive, with both Thai and international visitors.
My model and model
It is truly magnificent. The long shot is breathtaking.
Next to Khao Ta Pu is Khao Phing Kan.
After strolling and taking photos for nearly an hour, we boarded a boat to the final island.
We have arrived at Koh Panyi, a floating village in the middle of the sea. Houses, shops, and schools are all built on the water. It looks like the houses are floating!
After a short walk and some souvenir shopping, it was time to head back.
The trip took approximately 3-5 hours. I didn't check the time, but I know I returned around 3:00 PM. I was a little tired from the sun, but I had a great time visiting with my parents. I will definitely come back again if I have the chance. Goodbye, sea.

**Getting to Khao Khainui:**
Tourists can contact the Tung Maphrao Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) for assistance, as Khao Khainui is only 4 kilometers away from the SAO office. The road leading to the mountain is a 3-kilometer gravel path, requiring a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the final 2 sections due to the steep incline. These sections are short, and assistance can be obtained from Mr. Cho at the Tung Maphrao SAO (phone: 084 309 9222). Tourists can transfer to a 4x4 vehicle at the SAO for the ascent to the mountain peak. The round-trip fare for a chartered vehicle is 600 baht for up to 6 passengers.
