We opted for a meal at Ton Nam Restaurant, conveniently located within a short drive from Bangkok. The journey took approximately one hour and fifteen minutes via expressway. The restaurant boasts a rustic and laid-back ambiance, with a refreshing breeze. It is divided into three main zones: a large boat in the middle of the water, floating rafts, and a riverside area offering scenic views.

We arrived at the restaurant around 1 pm. It was quite crowded, but there were still some seats available. The seats on the boat were all taken, so we sat on the floating platform.

Indulging in a rare treat, we opted for the largest size of grilled prawns, ensuring a satisfying experience. However, the price was not for the faint of heart: "Each 7-baht grilled prawn costs 1,400 baht." If you find this price exorbitant, consider opting for a smaller size that fits your budget.

River prawns are sold according to their size, ranging from small ones weighing 2.5 kilograms to large ones weighing 7 kilograms.

Two of us shared a whole plate of shrimp, which was so generously covered in sauce that it made our mouths water just looking at it! The shrimp were huge, about the size of two iPhone 6 Plus phones placed side by side. The spicy seafood dipping sauce made them even more delicious. We were so full from the shrimp that we could barely eat anything else.

A full-bodied, fragrant, and creamy yellow shrimp dish that is a true delight.

A spoonful of shrimp roe on hot steamed rice, drizzled with the restaurant's signature spicy seafood sauce, is truly delicious. Words can't describe it, you have to try it for yourself!

The shrimp meat is sweet, bouncy, and satisfyingly chewy.

The original text is in Thai and describes a meal that includes a spicy soup, stir-fried cabbage, and a coconut pudding dessert. The writer expresses their enjoyment of the meal and recommends the coconut pudding in particular.

Here is a translation of the text into English:

But that's not all! We also ordered a spicy soup with oyster mushrooms and stir-fried cabbage with fish sauce to balance out the richness. And to finish it off, we had a "young coconut pudding". I highly recommend trying this one, as it's both fragrant and creamy with a hint of sweetness.

A spicy and sour tom yum soup with oyster mushrooms, perfect for cutting through the richness of the shrimp.

As we were eating, fish in the river swam by, providing a delightful spectacle.

The final bill came to 3,095 baht. Seeing the bill, my appetite disappeared for a while. I'm going to go home and eat dried shrimp until the end of the month. 55555
