Hello everyone, today I will take you to explore "Kudeejeen Community", an ancient community located along the Chao Phraya River, Thonburi side, Bangkok. This is not just an ordinary community, as it has a long history of over 200 years. It is an ancient community of Thai people of Portuguese descent. Within this community, there are many interesting ways of life and stories, especially the harmonious coexistence of Chinese, Indian and European people. There is also a famous dessert that is considered a symbol of the community, which is "Kudeejeen Farang Cookies". This dessert originated from the Portuguese who settled in the Kudeejeen community during the Ayutthaya period. The recipe for making this dessert has been passed down from generation to generation to the present day. But first, I will take you to see the view and atmosphere around the community. :D

The Indispensable Santa Cruz Church: A Century-Long Beacon of Faith in Guti Chinese Community

Nestled within the heart of the Guti Chinese community lies the不可或缺的 'โบสถ์ซางตาครูซ' (Santa Cruz Church), a sacred edifice that has stood as an enduring symbol of faith for over a century.

The church building boasts stunning Neoclassical and Renaissance architecture.

However, during the visit, an event was taking place inside the building, preventing photography. Despite this, the interior is said to be equally stunning.

And let's not forget the "Kudeejeen Farang Cookies," a delicious local treat.

A key highlight of visiting the Guti Chinese community is witnessing the traditional method of making pastries using a charcoal oven. The ingredients for these pastries include flour, eggs, sugar, and dried fruits.

This historical site is a must-visit for anyone exploring the Thonburi area.

Don't forget to stop by the "Ku De Chin Community" and try the Ku De Chin dessert. Let's help preserve this community and its ancient dessert for future generations.

In addition, the photos taken during this trip may not be as beautiful as you would like. We apologize for this. The watercolor came suddenly, so we used the iPad mini camera to take photos. We assure you that the quality of the photos will be better next time. 😊😊
