.. Chumphon ..
Sometimes, "traveling" doesn't necessarily mean we have to choose to go to major tourist cities like other travelers in general. This time, too, the three of us (our travel companions) decided to go to .. Chumphon Province .. by private car with a distance of no more than 500 kilometers.
We departed from Bangkok around midnight and drove along the under-construction roads, starting from Hua Hin district onwards. There were roadblocks at intervals, but as we were traveling at night, our journey was quite comfortable. We arrived at our first tourist destination in Pathiu district, **Tung Wua Laen Beach**, to watch the sunrise. The morning atmosphere here was excellent, with cool air, a gentle breeze, and a sense of tranquility that made it an ideal place to relax.
In the early morning, there are also tourists who come to enjoy the morning atmosphere. These are tourists who have come to stay overnight here.
The park is also popular with people who come to exercise in the morning.
There were a few people taking pictures.
After taking some photos, we drove into Chumphon town, which is about 30 kilometers away. It took us about 40 minutes to get from Tung Wua Laen Beach to Paknam Chumphon. We wanted to see what the atmosphere was like, and we got the atmosphere as you can see in the picture. This is in front of the Chanchira Resort. I drove through the market to the end of the alley and then I found this atmosphere.
Next, we will continue to other places, which is Khao Matree. You can drive up to the top of the mountain. It is located near Pak Nam Chumphon. This picture was taken from the area of Singha Cave Coffee Shop, Khao Matree. You can see the atmosphere of the sea as far as the eye can see.
The upper area features a statue of Guan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, in her Mahārāja form.
The main peak of Khao Maturi is at 0 meters above sea level.
The origin of the three monkeys is certainly worth investigating. I will look into it and provide you with more information soon. 555+
I also captured the surrounding atmosphere, including aerial photos from Khao Matree near **.. Tee Baan Nok Restaurant ..**.
Here is the translation:
Here is a panoramic view for you.
After spending a considerable amount of time on Khao Matree, our eyes began to feel heavy. We decided to drive to our accommodation to check in and freshen up. Our hotel, Retro Box Hostel, was located in the city center, approximately 15 kilometers from Khao Matree, with a travel time of around 20 minutes. Situated on Soi 3 of Khlong Luang Chumporn Road, this hostel boasts a unique and stylish atmosphere with container-style rooms and an outdoor swimming pool in the heart of the property. For those who appreciate trendy accommodations, Retro Box Hostel is a perfect choice, offering an unforgettable experience. The price is also incredibly reasonable, making it an ideal place to stay for a week or more. Trust me on this one! Upon arrival, we encountered other guests checking in, so we utilized the hostel's bathroom facilities to wash our faces, change clothes, and prepare for our next adventure.
We realized we had forgotten to eat breakfast, so we decided to head to .. Chok Dee Tiem .., a restaurant located near the Chan Somsri Hotel. I drove into the alleyway from the Ocean Shopping Mall and continued straight for about 100 meters before turning left. The restaurant is on the right-hand side. They offer a variety of dishes, including dim sum, bak kut teh, and fried eggs. Since we arrived quite late, there weren't many items left to order. However, the food we did try was delicious.
After having a light snack, we continued our journey. We wanted to relax and sunbathe, so we drove back to **Hat Sai Ri**. It was close to Khao Matree, about a 20-minute drive away. We stopped at the first restaurant we saw, which had a blue and white color scheme. We can't remember the name, but we were mainly focused on resting as we were very tired. We ordered only three dishes and some energy drinks. The food was delicious and spicy, and the oysters were very fresh. It was definitely worth it.
Fresh oysters, my friends are eating them but I don't like them. I can only sit and watch. 55+
After eating and drinking energy drinks, our eyes began to close. So we took a couple of naps, which gave us a little bit of the Haad Rin beach atmosphere.
After relaxing, we headed back to the city. Let's go to our accommodation. And here is our accommodation for tonight: .. Retro Box Hostel ..
Okay, I will translate the sentence for you:
"For accommodation, I will describe it based on the pictures, because this place made me stay in the accommodation all the time. 555+"
The picturesque scenery, vibrant colors, and serene ambiance of the accommodation captivated us, leaving us content to spend the entire evening within its confines. As the day faded into dusk, we found ourselves immersed in a state of tranquility, losing track of time until the late hours of the night. Upon regaining consciousness, we realized that it was well past midnight. With our plans to visit Old Time thwarted, we resigned ourselves to a night of restful slumber. (Despite our initial aspirations, we ended up staying in and enjoying a relaxing evening. Oh well, there's always next time!)
Having had a good night's rest, I was the first one to wake up at the accommodation this morning. I enjoyed the breakfast provided by the accommodation, which was very relaxing. The morning air in Chumphon was excellent.
After packing our belongings, we prepared to depart. Before leaving, we took our time to capture the stunning scenery of the accommodation.
The accommodation here is truly excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering excellent recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future. Before departing, we took a Polaroid picture and attached it to the container box, adding a stylish touch. Having missed the iconic **Old Time** the previous night, we made sure to visit it before leaving. We bid farewell to Retro Box Hostel and headed to Old Time for an immersive experience.
The restaurant has a cool and intimate atmosphere, with a hint of retro vibes and a touch of nature. Think vintage radios and old-school cameras. The food is an interesting mix-and-match affair, offering unique and slightly unconventional flavors. Overall, it's a great choice for those who enjoy this kind of experience. It was definitely worth the visit!
As I mentioned earlier, it is not necessary to travel in the same way as others. We can define our own travel style if we truly love and desire it. I am one such person, and as you can see, each person's journey can bring them unique happiness. This time is no different.
