Hello, this blog post continues with the accommodation for the second night of our rainy season trip to Kanchanaburi. After checking out of The Floathouse River Kwai, we drove straight to Kanchanaburi town.
Continue driving until you reach the area near the bridge over the River Kwai. You will see a sign indicating the way to the accommodation, X2 River Kwai. Simply turn into the alley and follow the road. There will be signs guiding you along the way.
Please wait in the lobby. Leave your bag here and take a seat in the library. A staff member will bring your documents to you shortly.

Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink while you wait.
The accommodation looks stylish. Ja Ja stayed in the room on the left at the top (red). Booked through Agoda. Luxe Cabin Room only 5,550 baht per night (excluding breakfast).
However, during my stay, the swimming pool was undergoing repairs and unavailable for use. As compensation, the hotel offered a complimentary breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise.
She walked out onto the balcony of her room and took a picture of the next room.
You will receive 2 key cards.
The room is spacious and beautiful.

The River Kwai
This image depicts a scene from the 1962 film "The River Kwai," directed by David Lean. The film is based on the 1952 novel of the same name by Pierre Boulle. The story follows British prisoners of war who are forced by the Japanese to build a railway bridge over the River Kwai in Thailand during World War II. The bridge becomes a symbol of both the prisoners' resilience and the futility of war.
The film won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. It is considered one of the greatest war films ever made.
Behind the bed is a small counter with a chair, which can also be used as a work desk.
The counter also has a menu of the hotel's restaurant. We can order room service to be delivered to the room, but there is a service charge of 200 baht per order. If you're not too lazy, you can also walk there.
Complimentary.
There is a photo album of X2 available to view.

The set includes towels, bathrobes, slippers, and pool flip-flops. The duck-shaped doll in the envelope is actually a bubble bath soap. It's not free, the set costs 320 baht. You can use it to make bubbles for fun photos.
The bathroom is spacious. Upon entering from the bedroom, you will encounter a mirror and a sink. The shower room is located on the left, while the toilet is on the right. The bathtub is situated at the back.
Amenities
The room includes a hair dryer, cotton swabs, hand soap, and body lotion. The bathroom is equipped with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner.
The bathtub in question has a black window that can be opened to let in light and provide a relaxing view of the outdoors.
Translated from the bed to the balcony. The balcony of the bedroom is also very, very wide.
There is also a 5-6 foot bed outside, perfect for relaxing in the evening or stargazing at night.
Upon descending, you will encounter the swimming pool. However, I did not capture a photograph of the pool due to the unhygienic state of the water, which appeared greenish.
There are also rooms with direct pool access.
The restaurant is also open to non-guests, who can drive in to dine. The swimming pool and the restaurant are not far apart, so it doesn't seem very private.
The sun has set, so we went down to take photos before dinner.
The menu offers a limited selection, but every dish looks tempting.
Fried minced pork spring rolls. The minced pork filling is flavorful and spicy, and the spring rolls are crispy with every bite. A great snack to enjoy!
Calamari & Onion Ring Squid and onion rings, a delightful treat served in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The calamari and onion rings are layered alternately, creating a visually appealing presentation.
Image of a cat
This image depicts a cat in a playful pose. The cat is lying on its back with its paws in the air, and it appears to be smiling. The cat's fur is a light brown color, and it has green eyes. The background of the image is blurry, but it appears to be a grassy field.
Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken
The Caesar salad with grilled chicken features a flavorful dressing with a perfect balance of saltiness and acidity. The salad is topped with crispy parmesan cheese, which is a delightful addition for cheese lovers. The bacon is crispy, and the croutons are evenly distributed throughout the salad. Overall, the salad is delicious and satisfying.
In the evening, the staff will come to turn it down.

The River Kwai tells the story of British prisoners of war forced by the Japanese to build a railway bridge over the River Kwai in Burma during World War II. The film explores themes of war, duty, and the nature of heroism.
The image shows a group of British soldiers standing on the completed bridge. The bridge is a massive structure, spanning a wide river. The soldiers are looking out at the river, their faces etched with exhaustion and determination.
The River Kwai is a classic war film that has been praised for its stunning visuals, powerful performances, and thought-provoking themes. It won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Amidst the tranquil embrace of the night, we ventured out onto the balcony, where the gentle caress of the cool breeze met our skin. As we sipped on our refreshing beers, the twinkling stars above served as a celestial backdrop to our intimate conversation. The atmosphere was one of pure serenity, as we reveled in the simple pleasures of life.
After waking up, we headed to the dining room for breakfast. The menu offered a la carte options, allowing us to choose our desired dishes. Each meal was accompanied by toasted bread and a selection of beverages, including tea, coffee, cocoa, and Ovaltine.
This section offers a selection of fruit juices, fresh fruits, and yogurt.
A hot cocoa, please.
Toast with butter and orange jam.
May I order two Eggs Benedict, please?
Penetrate to see the juicy.
Translation:
**Khai Gatha:** Surprisingly, I prefer the Khai Gatha here to Eggs Benedict. The fried egg with gooey cheese, spicy sai oua sausage, crispy bacon, and bell peppers creates a delightful pizza-like experience. The flavors are perfectly balanced and delicious.
And just like that, the relaxing time flew by. It's time to check out. Check out is at noon, right? I'll wait at the library as usual.
The resort is aesthetically pleasing, but it does not offer exceptional value for the price. The privacy is somewhat limited, as outsiders have access to the property. After using the pool, guests must walk to a nearby area near the restaurant to shower, where other guests are dining. This resort is more suitable for young adults, couples, or friends. It may not be ideal for families, especially with young children, as the upper-level rooms are not accessible to children due to safety concerns.
